Hi there, sprite.
T
hey peach :) *hugs* How are you doing today?
Not too badly. Had a long talk with my daughter tonight....she is really suffering. She lost a husband to cancer and now her only daughter. Please remember her in your prayers. Blessings, dear one.
will do, for sure, peach. It is a true ordeal, having to live through this. May He support and help you both, all the way through.
oh how awful, peach. was it cancer in the latter case as well?
Thank you, dear.
Yes, hurshy. The doctor told her that this type has been found in only 600 in the world since 1960.
She fought so very hard.....it did go into remission for several years and about 6 months ago she had a scan and found that it was in several organs.....the first was in her brain.
i'm so sorry. i will definitely pray for your daughter.
Thank you so very much, hurshy.

easy-peasyè? Not for me!
hi ruby
never so easy peasy for me.
if i get half way i am happy. that is my goal daily.
Some people often say they found the grid easy. I'm not sure why.
Me, too, half, nbt and nbs
l don't list
Very few of them are.
To make the rest of us feel stupid? To distinguish themselvers?
I think it's mean
I wonder why someone doesn't move onto something more challenging if they find most of these grids easy.
Each of us has his own goals; that is satisfactory
sorry, just lost the thought; the "paysagiste", Gilles, just arrived to do some pruning
Do you think the ones who find it so easy use the lists?
wager
ssorry; l'm a little bit thrown -- will keep quiet
Glad that someone came to help with the yard work. That will make things look nicer.
Itt reverts to jungle very fast. At it best, it is a kindd of (slightly shambly) English garden.
Gilles just got back from his Holiday in Spain. My housekeeper had her Holiday in Portugal.
waits
This seems to be a time of year when a lot of people go on vacation.
I just can't chat! l'm very sorry, as l'm happy to see you, Molly
Almost all French people take their hholidays at the same time
And, because Europe is so small, they can go every place by car. Whole extended families rent campers and sit in traffic for hourts. Unimaginable for me

Hi Peri. After all that rain yesterday it looks like we are going to dry out and have a nice "rest of the weekend".
I hope so. I close all my windows yesterday and slept with 3 blankets
closed
Ah, you get cold easily, yes? I thought yesterday was great. A welcome relief from the summer heat. My windows were open all day and all night.

I actually did some cleaning this weekend since it was so cool
I prefer a PC to a laptop. I only use my laptop when I travel.
I do too, Molly but they are more expensive and I am on a budget. Learned my lesson tho.
I have a friend who works and goes to school at night. she writes all of her papers on her laptop.
I think it depends on where you shop and what you buy. You can get a good PC for the same price as a good laptop. As for writing, I prefer to do that on as big a screen as possible. Which is why I have a 17 inch laptop.
I bought mine at Best Buy. is there a better place?
Amazon is pretty competitive with just about anywhere.
next time I will use Amazon.
Does Cost sell laptops?
if you mean Costco, probably bichon
Costco
Tiger Direct has good prices as well. Costco sells laptops. But like everything Costco sells, it is only certain brands at certain times.
61 left, bbl. I forgot about Tiger Direct
Name that proper noun: Capital city
riga
Very Excellent! I actually did not see that one, but you should get a prize anyway. You win a free concert in the Riga Cathedral - supposedly the best acoustics in Europe!

Wow! Now, that's the way to see the eclipse. No, I don't know how to resize for babble. You may have to resize before you post.

ru is it hot where you are?
112 here yesterday.. today will be about as hot
harvest is underway in a hurry out here
Son lives in San Mateo, hot there too.
yep it hit 104 down there I think
he's closer to the bay though.. so it's just a bit cooler
I grew up near San Mateo
where?
Burlingame hills
Just north. I love the area
yeah.. but it's pretty crowded now
when I grew up there were only a row of 8 houses near ours and now there are hundreds
Yes, and home prices outrageous. It wouldbe tempting to move there, but we couldn't afford a place to live.
the house prices there are totally insane
my mom still lives there
Houses on our circle sell for up to $250 grand.
houses in that area are 3-4 million plus
Ru, is the weather affecting the harvest?
yes.. it's causing wineries to pick sooner than planned
Very hot in Eurpe too.
Okay. My step-mother was in a very talkative mood. We had a lovely conversation about all kinds of things.
That affects the grape's sugar content and the fermentation, doesn't it?
this heatwave is shattering records out here
yes exactly and the acidity too ori
Mr. Bich is in NW Spain right now. not nearly as hot aas last year
hot isn't good except at the end of the harvest when wineries need sugar to get their numbers
you didn't go bichon?
No, he's leading a Sierra Club trip which includes very steep hiking
wow.. good for him
He led one in Cinqueterre in June
I will go to cinqueterre some day.. and the Chianti region too.. that's on my list
and lake Como (sp?) Cuomo?
You could stay with the Clooneys, Ru.
ha..
I'd love to be rich .. but not famous

I get rather unsettled when seasons shut down too quickly - I need slow transition
The Punnett square is a tabular summary of possible combinations of maternal alleles with paternal alleles.
I know them well, byz - we teach the eighth graders how to make them in science class
Mendel too.
47 to go, listing.....
Fireworks. woot woot
Hello All!! I love that I can type "p" in the address bar and my browser automatically fills in the Babble URL. :D
Do you ever start talking to outsiders about Babble and then want to shut up because you don't actually want them coming here and mucking things up? Had a dream about that one night.
Do you ever just keep entering in the chog even though there's clearly no one responding?
Redshoes = loopy today
I do censor myself with outsiders too
I tend not to censor myself here however
I tend not to censor myself here however
I tend not to censor myself here however
Oopsie
te
<---understands the entering comments for no apparent reason
Actually, I don't mention playing Babble to anyone and I certainly don't dream about it.
Ha!
Perfect example Ruru
I tell people I have a word game I play each day. And people see me on it on breaks at work. It helps loosen my mind.
I dreamt that I told people and they joined and then I couldn't speak uncensored here. And they trolled. Dumb dream people.
Dreamt? Dreamed? hmmmm
Many people are internet voyeurs. Tell them where you go or what you do on the internet, or make it obvious at work, and they will go and "look"
I'm just a regular voyeur.. I don't do it on the internet
Better to do it out in the open, Ru. Those who "look" on the internet are referred to as lu***rs. A dirty word here.
too hot this summer for a raincoat :D
"luukers"?
