snit
sorry!
50 left, going back to bed
good morning all
good morning Sprite
good evening, flosey. How are you doing today? I asked you yesterday about the doctor's appointments but it got lost in chog, I think. Or maybe you don't feel comfortable answering in chog?
Dr. ordered am xray but won't see him for results until 25th!! obviously nothing of concern
an, not am
ah, that sounds good. As long as they don't rush you through it, they are not worried :)
I haven't forgotten the translations for the recipes, flosey, just haven't had time yet. Will do it this week.
true - so no explanation re so many headaches - perhaps just need more sleep - certainly do have to sign up for exercise class again - have been intending to do so for quite some time now - too easy to let it go!!
very true. Doing the things that are good for us are hard when they are no fun doing :) Maybe you can find something physical to do that you enjoy? Swimming or walking or dancing?
don't worry about the recipes Sprite - just whenever you have a bit of free time
this week looks good. Just a meeting today, and a chat shift for the volunteer job on wednesday. Friday I will go to an OA retreat in Germany, back on Sunday.
I walk every day Sprite - really not great on swimming, although that was one exercise class I did attend a few years back
OA?
walking in a brisk step is the very best excercise one can get, I am certain of it. My grandparents did it every day and it was amazing how fit they stayed.
anything starting with OA around here refers to Old Age!!!
overeaters anonymous. Kind of like the AA but for people with eating disorders.
*giggles* well, that too would be fitting, I guess.
and dancing? You might enjoy line dance, or sacred dance.
brb, I think I hear my beloved, which means he stayed home sick.
ah!!! have not heard of such!! probably because I've been thin most of my life - ONCE only, I blimped out - when we firt moved out here - got rid of it as fast as I could
Tint
Tinter
was just in time to see him drive away, terrible man. He was sick yesterday, didn't sleep much, and now off to work. And he is 60+, sigh...
hiya bethn
have never heard of sacred dancing - sounds odd to me - was raised in a somewhat strict religion - didn't approve of dancing!! so didn't learn until later than one would usually learn - line dancing sounds like it could be fun
Hi sprite! pB for me
sacred dance might be great for you. It is praying with your body.
hehehe, best place in babble is the PB, beth :)
Will your hubby retire at 65 Sprite?
I wish, flosey. They raised the retirement age to 67,5. And there are rumours of it being raised even further.
wow, that is not reasonable - in my opinion!!
I couldn't agree more. It is all about money. As usual, they cannot look further than the length of their noses... because making people work for longer than is healthy, will only make for higher medical co5.
I was going to retire earlier than I did - a few of the nurses advised me to work until 60 at which age one gets a pension - sounded good to me!
thanks for the co
indeed. It used to be 60 here, and if you wanted, you could quit as early as 58, with a slightly lower pension. My beloved is so ready to stop working. But he can't without losing his income.
ah, yvw ;)
I would have sworn that sanitor is a word. Like a cleaning guy?
lol, we could make up a few words, with a bit of imagination!!
:D I retyped it three times because I was sure it had to take. Didn't.
59 to go but I think I'd better get to bed and face them tomorrow
good night all
sleep well, flosey, with lovely dreams *hug*
thanks Sprite and hugs back
hi sprite. hugs honey.
rose! *hugsssss* sweetie. Haven't seen you in ages. Are you and Don okay?
fireflies
WTG SPRITE !!!
nope. he's still coughing, i'm still in pain and sleep deprived on top of that. that's why i've stayed out of chat.
aw my dear friend. *holds rose in a good hug*
when will you see dr John?
thanx sweetie. i hate dragging chat down. beginning of october was the earliest but on cancellation list.
good, I hope someone will cancel today. And darling, you never drag chat down. Please keep joining in so that we can make you feel supported and loved and wanted.
xoxox sweetie.
what can I do to help you?
honey, i really don't know. as i said sleep deprivation has me holding onto my sanity by my fingertips. i feel so tearful. and i am trying so hard not to resent don's coughing but in the wee small hours that is very difficult.
is there a way for you to sleep in separate rooms for a few nights?
too cold. our bedsit area is the only warm part of the house. besides what if he chokes while coughing. no, i have to be near him.
he's not gonna choke, darling. And I bet you'd be much more of a help to him if you slept through the night. Aw my dear rose... wish I was closer to you so I could help out.
sweetie this is asthma in it's worst form. he coughs until he empties his lungs of air, and because of the spasms he cannot breathe in.
when it is that serious, your doctor should step in. That is worrisome, sweetie. What does your doctor say?
he needs to use his ventolin nebs and puffer. he won't listen to me when i say you need the nebuliser. he says he needs to keep coughing and i am saying you need to stop coughing and take some deep breaths. *sigh*
*holds rose*
*snuggles in4 sprite*
i can't seem to make him understand that what he describes as a "plug" he needs to cough up is actually a spasm which needs to be stopped.
indeed. Honey, I have to run, sorry. *hugs* and all the best to you both. will pray for you
sorry to dump on you honey. hope your day goes well. xoxox
sorry to dump on you honey. hope your day goes well. xoxox

It's a song, Bichon.

I don't think I've ever heard such a song
when he gets here, everyone's gonna jump for joy
Was that Herman's Hermits that sang that song?
down to 2 and really stuck, need more coffee
(well... HE is a bit late)
Judi, ould you clue it in a different way. I doen't even know who Herman's Hermits are
Four identical babies would be qu**tuplets.
I have that one, need the second one
Manfred Mann sang the song.
Add a non-plural consonant to the end of the four babies.
"C'mon without. C'mon within. You aint seen nothing like the mighty qu4."
qu 5/16, second one, pls
Manfred Mann had the best known version....I have it in my music files by 4 artists....Bob Dylan actually wrote it.
Asci
Wow, Diane. I didn't know that. Surprised that Dylan wrote it. It's a shit song, really.
Playing it now
<---liked Manfred mann
lol. Diane's having a nostalgic moment.
Bob Dylan sounds stoned ....but that was just his style. Making me chuckle as I listen to him.
... blinded by the light was my favorite song by him
I have thousands of songs on my computer....I won't tell you HOW many thousand !
Blinded by the Light.....the one with the famous "miss-heard" line..lol
Everyone mis-heard the same line, Diane.
fw - whew, at long last!! last word an5/10 - will I ever remember that one!
You are so right, Judi ;-)
Hi flosey :-)
qu 5/16, first one, pls
sorry, qu 5/16, second one, pls
Springsteen wrote Blinded By The Light. Dylan wrote The Mighty Quinn which was another song Manfred Mann covered.
Found all the Qs!
pleas, judi , the second qu 5/16
I have qu5/16: antiquated term for gay person.
ty Judi, you are the best
Off I go to lunch. Good luck to all.
I am not aware of a mis-heard line?
Most people think it's "wrecked up like a douche"
Sorry, revved up like a douch (the real line is deuce)
Cut loose like a douche, whatever. Deuce is a car racing term that (obviously) most people don't know
But they should because most people get Little Deuce Coupe lyrics right.
oh.. that's all new to me...
I always thought it was deuce
I think it's funny that the web site for mis-heard lyrics is kissthisguy.com. Most people don't understand Kiss The Sky in the Hendrix song.
my friends always thought the same thing.. I'm not sure about my enemas :D
Keep your friends close and your enemas even closer
or be fleet of foot ?
Better out than in, they often say

We are south of middle....about 4 hours east of Jasper, just outside of Edmonton
... it's their family motto
LOL....I guess you can tell I've never watched Game of Thrones, although all of my kids and grandkids are avid fans. I think hubby watches it once in a while
