Reformat?
sorites? Not sure anymore, sorry
sc9/66
SCLEROMAS
ah. An ugly one for sure
Just the plural was invalid?
Liz sent me an email and thinks that was it
I thought I would remember looking at the word list, but I am sorry, I don't. I believe it was at the bottom of a two-letter series.
Liz said she had 3 9s and I had 4 - so that's probably it
great! That should narrow it down.
Clues are up
thank you very much, lickety. You are amazing.
THanks sprite, hope you are well and happy
I am, we all are here. I hope the same for you and yours.
Yes staying happy here
glad to hear that! You deserve no less.
Thanks Lickety
*hugs Liz* Hi there, how are you and how was your day?
Hugs Sprite. Good day. Long coffee with a group of friends this morning. Always good fun. All good with you?
Overuse of good there :)
Poor Lickety! I’ll have to drive him mad again this weekend when US clocks change.
good can never be overused :)
That’s true. Good is good
our clocks changed last weekend. Back to 'normal' time at last. All is good here. Quietly recovering from the overtaxation of the weekend, very content with what we did and feeling it was royally worth the pain.
That sounds good. Hopefully we’ll have a normal day tomorrow though who wants normal? Different is fun :)
UK clocks changed last weekend too. Ours don’t change where we live, though they do in most of Aus.
the older I get, the more I appreciate normal, tbh. I am aiming for a very normal day tomorrow too. Today I have to get groceries, do the cooking and go to singing lesson. Tomorrow, I plan on doing nothing but knitting :D
must be even more confusing when only parts of the country change, and I believe you have a couple of different time zones anyway.
We’d like to get back to walking again. Perhaps tomorrow. Things keep getting in the way.
sometimes life is like that. Mosttimes really :D
It is confusing especially because we’re quite near the New South Wales border and they do change. New Years Eve is odd. There’s one road where each side of the road is on a different time zone.
what is that saying again? Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans?
roflolllll oh that I cannot imagine! Would drive me batty. Imagine driving on that road on NYE. Happy new... old... new... well for crying out loud, happy YEAR!
Huge crowd of kids just came to the door Trick or Treating. It’s so well organised in our street. They give us a poster to put up if we want kids to call. And they’re all supervised by an adult.
wow that is very organised indeed. Here, we do not have trick or treat, but something similar on Nov 11. It is only for small kids though, and therefore ends around 8 pm. Not too bad, really. And kind of cute, because they have to sing us a song. Nothing cuter than small kids summoning up the courage to sing for you.
fireflies. *hugs* and lots of love. I hope you will have a very quiet day with lots of walking tomorrow :)
Hugs
fireflies. *hugs* and lots of love. I hope you will have a very quiet day with lots of walking tomorrow :)
Thanks Sprite.

quite the costume
When I was growing up in the 50's, kids dressed up as pirates, gypsies, ghosts. And, our mothers made the costumes
Yep. My mom made some of our costumes too. I remember a pirate and a skeleton.
and hobos were popular in the 60's
One of my grands is Cleopatra and one is a peacock
Yep. Hobo was easy. Just wear dad's clothes and a scruffy hat. Used charred cork to make a 5 o'clock shadow on our faces.
exactly!
I remember being angry at my mother some years, because she made me wear a jacket over my costume.
i was thinking about that yesterday - in the northeast, we'd be thrilled if the temp was in the 50's - more often in the 30's tho
Yep. Jacket over the costume ruined the whole effect. *foot stomp*
good thing about a hobo or ghost - you could incorporate layers and forego the jacket
I remember my mother refused to buy us costumes, so we recycled the ones we had year after year - until we outgrew them of course.
and then you got hand-me-downs from older siblings
My girlfriend and I went as football players the last year we participated in trick-or-treat.
Little Miss Muffett's seat of choice is not allowed.

You go Shirl
our society is upside down and backwards, we should celebrate scientists and people who actually do good in the world
I had a 45 minute out-patient surgery for cut tendon on one finger. I went right under & when i woke up, I felt like I'd gotten the best sleep ever - since floating in a tank for 4 hours. I asked what they gave me & it was the same stuff which killed Michael Jackson. I wholeheartedly believe that creative brains are VASTLY different than the 'regular' brain. But that stuff worked like the charm it was meant to be :)

Now there's a true fan :)
di7, take the first syllable of book with word meanings then add the comparative ending
he doesnt know it yet, but he loves the Doctor. ;)
Now, that's funny - I hope that works out for you. Remember, if it doesn't, you love them just as much.
his middle name is from Dune, so his Daddy is hoping for another Frank Herbert fan. ;)
"And for the father - Nothing." Definitely one of the best, saddest & creepiest lines in the book.
What's his middle name?

Hullo. Sorry to veer away from the puzzle, but everyone who reads this is probably an enjoyer of words. Does anybody have any favourite poems? Just thought I'd ask.
Sammy Seahorse said the same
every time they called his name
go away, let me be, all I want is seaweed tea
Would you like a piece of cod? Jelly fish? Or something odd
No, all I want is seaweed tea, go away and let me be.
So, they mixed some seaweed up, put it in a coral cup, added bubbles, salt and sand.........Sammy thought it tasted grand. The End
That was a really unexpectedly whimsical answer. Thank you!
thanks tc for the tu7 clue
