Greetings. Has anyone used the Z yet for anything?
I have used the U in one 4 letter word for 8 points. Are there more uses for it?
I only have the one use of u, but I have two words with z in them.

There are 137 words, I have stats for 135 of them: 2x8 12x7 14x6 39x5 58x4 10xA 8xC 11xD 13xE 12xF 16xH 3xI 5xN 13xR 6xS 28xT 10xW I have so far used the Z and the U each 3 times. For 7s I have only 3 - 40,40,28. I have 8 6s: 27,24,33,33,27,36,18,18. Feel free to compare!
7s-- not so many yet, but I have a 52 (sometime after the 28, i bet) 6s--mine start 18,24.

kthdsn - Decent is in the eye of the beholder. :) You can see the total word count that I posted below to see how close you are to it. And if you click through the archives you can see what some other people have scored on previous games. But it's really up to you whether you want to strive to get all the words (and have babble take over the greater part of your life) or just work on it for a while and whatever you get, you get. It can become an addiction quickly! :-D

The T7 I actually thought was a medical term about adjusting dosage, until I looked it up.

I was just going to say that I don't know about the mysterious E6 when I realized I just saw it! It is related to (plural of) an E5, not a 5S. It is similar in meaning to your D7. Also, the A6 drier comes before the A6 painter.
many's the time i remember doing some t-------ing in chemistry classes ;) E6 decree or proclamation (pl.) I cannot believe all the plurals i missed in this grid! I had all the smaller related words!

The final 6 letter word also begins with T and goes at the end of the list alphabetically. It is a chemical word. There is also a 5-letter D word that goes with this that would be a chemical with one fewer bond.
Has the E7 figures in these discussions yet? At the risk of repeating, a clue is that it would be the chap who implements a particular (and obscure) political and social system. Not to be found in dictionary.com :o)

Kirsty1 - I think shortseer's comment was directed to my clue for the T6. :) The E7 has not been mentioned yet. I feel like I know what it has to be, but can't find anything that will work. Still looking, though. :-D

Jo - I you look at my post from 9:15am you can see a breakdown of the words by length and starting letter to give you an idea of what to shoot for. Throughout the chat log there are hints to many of the 6, 7, 8, and 9 letter words.
The last 7-letter word starts with D (comes before the other D7) and is a rug made in India.
But wait, then there are 12 D's, not 11.

Treble - There are clues for both D7 words in the chat log. fnurt - So, you have 11 D words but not that one? I have 11 including that one. But, there is still one mystery word that we don't know the length or starting letter for, so it could be a D.
My D's are 4x7, 5x3, 7x2.
OK, it appears I'm missing a D5. Off to the hunt!

Yes, the other is the T9 that shortseer hinted at earlier.
The 2 D7s are both accounted for in the solver results, so the mystery word is either 4 or 5 letters, but not sure which at this point. I know I'm missing a 5, but that doesn't mean anything!
OMG, I'm laughing so hard at myself right now! I found the D5 I was missing, and I actually used this word as a hint to one of the longer A words in an earlier post. I can't believe I didn't see it!!!!

The i/7 was throwing me off because of the clue "inter". I was thinking "between", but you need to put the accent on the second syllable
