babble is like microwave popcorn
when the popping slows to 2 to 3 [minutes] between pops, time to take action
there is a kernel of truth to that
hey, i'm not trying to butter anyone up here

good morning all
well timed my darling {{sprite}} just sat down again. dishes done, second load of washing on. hugs ans kisses
*major hug* for rose. Hello my darling, great to see you. Wow, well done, you. I am only just up and about... made coffee, got dressed in my indoor lounge stuff. Fed Terra. Not really planning on doing much more today :D
so... does that mean you are feeling reasonably okay? Or just that you have been pushing yourself?
now that's my sort of day... loll good on you
second option unfortunately. have been sitting all day trying to dig up the energy.
I had a feeling that was the case. *sends rose a truckload of energy* You do take care, don't you, hun? Take it slow, leave things to Don, put up those feet? Darn, I wish I could be there to help you and see to it you are being incredibly kind to yourself.
not a good start this morning. had to use the TENS first thing, not a good sign.
definitely not. Being in so much pain is draining your energy faster than you can replace it, sweetie, I know. Please act accordingly... it is necessary. Still quite a wait until the denervation.
i know honey, and i feel your presence everyday. that's what makes me think twice and even thrice, before doing something. can Don do it? sometimes. but the washing?? if i sort and spray maybe. but i still have to do the prewash stuff.
yeah, sorting and spraying... I know you are doing that sitting down, that's okayish. And make sure Don does the hanging up etc. I am glad you feel me being there with you. I am, I think of you very very often and you are always in my heart and prayers.
now that's the nicest thng said to me today. yeah, i know. Don adores me, i feel that, but when my lower back starts i think even the Pope would get it right.
*wouldn't*
Don is a darling and yes, he adores you. He is just not very good at handling intense emotions or women in pain :) Which is tough to do in any case, so no blame there.
honey, pain in the lower back means every darn thing you do or move hurts like hell. It would drive a saint to murder.
we are working it out. i have alerted him that if i have a rapid change of mood, ALWAYS suspect pain.
(and saints we ain't, lololollllO)
good notion. You might even want to supply him with a standard reaction. "Rose, I think you are in a lot of pain. Please sit down and tell me what you need right now."
speaking of saints, i caught up with worzel a few days ago. he has been in a very dark place for some months, and poor diane also. they are coming out again. as worzel said in reply to my email, mum, you have shaken me out of my shell.
nice thing to say. Sorry to hear they've gone through a tough spell.
i just have to sort out Chrissiedee. her email bounces and i am wondering if something has happened to her which may have caused both worzel's and diane's dark m
time.
dark *time*
could be. Has she played babble recently?
no.
not easy then to get ahold of her.
i do worry. she had just had a new baby last i heard. but that was months ago. i remember diane was over the moon.
well, don't borrow trouble, my dear friend. You might simply ask Diane and Worzel about her. No need to worry yet, and no use in speculating.
i hear you...
{{{{{rose}}}}}
not meant as criticism, you know that, right? Just want to spare you as much anxiety as possible.
no criticism seen sweetie. just loving direction. thanx
good :) With emphasis on the loving part.
babble should hi4 its very own Scottie, to beam us over to eachother whenever needed
good suggestion. wanna send it to Dr God... loll
lol, please do :D
if all regular chatters would chip in, we could easily afford it
fireflies. Not a tough grid at all.
*hugs* my dearest friend. Please go on taking care of you. Love to Don, and as always, lots of love and *hugs* for you.
WTG SPRITE !!! HUGS AND LOVE FOR YOU BOTH TOO.
hello. help with re8 pls
To repossess, Peri.
hmm, ty looking

Yes.
I don't see it. I have re7's. is the 8 related to any of them?
It does use the high point tile.
3 re7'ss is what I have
peri, think of "Carpe Diem" and you will have it
It is also a PT word.
tyty. I did not have the base word
bbl
wow, thank you. That gave me a whole bunch of words!
aand Good Morninjg
Glad it helped, ((Ruby))
((zzoozz))
l was here earlier, but just lurked, reeading the conveersation LOL
Not been long he4 myself.
Just had a bath and got myself a nice hot cup of tea!
l've been trying to get thee fire to "takee", without success
Luckily, it's a little less cold
Put some newsparer with it. Maybe the wood is a bit too damp and needs a helping hand.
It was near freezing point this morning but has warmed up to around 10c/50f
I did and also used little fire started chips etc
l lack the magic touch
Not sure why then...maybe try having stuff crammed all in too tight and have it with air gaps to help it?
Try not having it all crammed together that should of been.
l just tried again as theree were still some glowing cinders.
And? did it take?
I wrapped some "petitts bois" with a couple of pine cones in nhewspaper, and it all lit up instantly
The pine cones make it crackle -- nice.
Yay! Nice one,Ruby! You can stay all nnice and warm now :-)
Not warm yet, but at least it looks warm
This house is ridiculous but pretty
My home is like yours in that it does not hold heat very well. always cold in this place.
When it's windy outside, it's windy Inside!
Another member of the drafty home club here. I have to put an old blanket at the base of the front door when it is cold to keep the draft out.
ewer
Yes my curtains move when the wind is blowing outside lol
whoops, sorry
I need new windows and some weather stripping.
Oh wow I do that too, Molly on the front and back door lol Glad I am not the only one who does that!
Fortunately, l have a lot of newspapers o burn and plenty of wood
That is good, Ruby. always have a stock of fuel to burn. Just mae sure you have read them all first haha!
The windows are the problem here and there are many
Make*
It is very expensive to have windows replaced. It is on my "someday" list.
The news makes me so angry that tthey would probably burn spontaneously
Too expensive to re-glaze
My neighbours both side of me have had new windows and a new conservatory but on the back of thier homes. My house is starting to look like a pit compared to everyone elses here.
It's ironic, because when we ought the house, my husband and l were in the glass business
Their*
Phantom: threnody (whatever that means LOL)
A lament.
Thank you
Zoom is the Google King : D
LOL
What we do about our drafty houses
Try anfd win the lottery, Ruby.
(l almost usedit in a sentence)
Keep chanting "mild winter, mild winter, mild winter"
I still do, Molly :-)
l fear it won't work; Rufie has grown an extra layer of dense fur this year
But he does his part -- lying on my feet
There does not seem to be extra berries on the trees around these parts so i am hoping that is a good sign.
LOL nice, Ruby!
A big lottery win remains in my dreams. However, so far this week, I have only won 4 dollars. : )
We look for good omens.....
The French lottery is too complicated for me
They changed the amount of balls they have in our lottery here and since then we have very rarely won anything in a whole year I think we won around £3.80 and that is paying £5 a week between my parents and I
Forgot to put in a couple of full stops. sorry about that.
Well, you know, it's always better to have more balls. : D
l used to play religiously in Miami and, for the firsst year, l came out ahead
LOL
After that, it became too much of an obsession, so l stopped playing
Can be, Ruby. that is why we only do one line twice a week on our lottery. well it is in fact the euro lottery we do.
I did do the irish lottery for a while and that was a good one to do. I won more on that than any other.
You start to be afraid NOT to play
I have to hit the grocery store early. This is the time of year when dim people, who never cook, try to assemble what they need to make a turkey dinner.
For two numbers they would pay out. here it has to be three numbers.
For the first 8 years we were here, we used to have to go to Geneva for the turkey and have friends send cans of Libby'ss pumpkin
I am happy with just a marmite sandwich to be honest.
I quit that, too, French people had no idea what it was about
The festive season has become too commercialized in my opinion.
Not here
They even start Christmas commercials in October on the TV
The TV commercials are all about cars now; last night l counted 6 in a row!
They are moslty about charities here.
You know life is exciting when you start keeping track of TV ads!
That's our Ruby, always living on the edge. : D
LOL
hahah
See you later kids, lunch should be delivered any minute, maybe in a red box
Enjoy your meal, Ruby!

word families coming from all corners of the board made it tricky
I love the phrase "word families" it's so cutsie.
you'd think dictionaries would use contraception in these times
too much gerunding if you ask me
it's easy to pick up syllables without them
It's not a "family" thing if you are picking up syllables. *Thinking street corners*
or one of those bars where you get a Verb dance
hi all.
hello...
i am done....*waving to the lurkesr*....
Good Evening
Bye, pen. I never seem to be here when you are lately.
hi nef....not quite gone yet... ;o)
How are you lately, pen? (I'm feeling older every day myself) ;-)
ok here....feel older every day, lol...
I guess that's pretty normal, huh?
We've had such a cold fall, I worry it will be a long winter this year
yes, for sure....how are you doing?
doing okay; DH is a handful (as usual) but he's just had a bunch of steroids (for his MS) & we're hoping it helps.
We're planning to go to Montana at Christmas; we're going by train; & I'm hoping he can travel better that way.
Do you have family in Montana?
Almost all of my siblings & my step mother. My youngest brother (he's in his 50's) was just diagnosed with ALS & wants us all out there for the holiday this year.
Ah....well it should be nice to be with all your family...
He's my half brother & he thinks it may be "the last one at his mom's house" so we're going. (Not sure if he meant himself, my step mother, or at that house; she should be in assisted living)
I will go to my niece's at Christmas....stay a night or two....spend some time with her boys....
How many kids does she have?
three....12 to 18....oldest is in college...
That will be fun then; old enough they will be interesting to talk to & not be too rowdy.
yes, they are fine....well behaved....
Do you go there every year?
yes, and for Thanksgiving.....other times, too....she is just an hour and a half away....
That's nice. My closest sibling is 6 hours away (up home, where I grew up)
my brother and nephew live in my town now....another brother is a little less than 2 hours away....
I have 1 aunt & a bunch of cousins in the Cities here; but holidays are always so busyfor everyone that we all have our own celebrations.
I have a dear friend that lives near & we always had our holiday celebrations together; but she remarried a couple of years ago & their blended families are a full house these days.
It's tough when the family grows....we have a larger get together in January with my brothers, nieces and nephew and kids....that's nice...
It is hard when families grow; they never all fit in 1 room to eat anymore & "the kids" don't want to sit at the kids' table anymore! ;-)
yes, it gets tough...we do a buffet type meal for the large get together.....
(I think the older people would almost rather sit at the kids table sometimes; kids have more fun at holidays)
hah....too true!
Oh, oh, me, me! I want to sit at the kids' table.
Or with the pets. Anything to avoid small talk with adults.
I think that buffet meals work great for big groups at this point of our lives.
Hi Scrabs. I'll join you at the kids table
hi scrabs....
Yay! We can tell jokes and be generally immature.
Just because we grow older doesn't mean we have to grow up.
(I do not want to eat with the pets. My daughter will be bringing her 2 big dogs for the first time; she just rescued a second one & he doesn't have ANY manners!
How is the weather in Maine now, Penquis?
I just want the kids to do the cooking & cleaning before & after; the kids table never did those things; so I don't want to either! ;-)
Good points, Nef.
We have a tiny galley kitchen; there isn't much room for more than 1 person in there at a time. The only good thing about it is that you can start at 1 end & at the other end (a whole 8 feet long!) there's a door,;so buffet lines make sense
it's been cold here....warmest October ever and now one of the coldest Novembers ever.....weird....
We will get 4-8 inches of snow form tomorrow through Monday.
Will it last, Scrabs?
We've had several snowfalls here and the ground is frozen already; but so far none of the snow has stayed with us (probably because we've also had rain if it's been above freezing)
Temps will hit 45 on Tuesday so most will melt.
that's always good.
No, I WANT snow! I am ready to snowshoe and XC-ski.
i can do without it...
I am seeing so many words that were invisible this morning.
Oh. I just want warmer temps & unslippery walking myself
my7 seems like a fake word.
Isn't that the way it always goes, Scrabs? you take a break & when you come back it's so easy to see more words
Very true about that my7 word.
Scrabs; do you havelots of groomed trails to snowshoe & XC-ski on where you live?
ti 8 seems like a phony word, too...
Yes, the county park next to us has many groomed trails in the woods and a warming hut with a wood stove. It is heavenly there.
A clue, penquis?
at least I've heard (& felt) that one before, pen?
NM, I guessed it.
yes, but my grammar school English teacher would have had a fit if I had used that word....
I would never use that word in a medical chart.
LOL! :-)
"This adolescent reports feeling ti8 over the last few weeks."
I wouldn't either, Scrabs; but haven't you ever felt that way (especially after a extra long day at the hospital)?
I have been ti8 a lot over the last 30+ years.
one can be more tired or most tired, but not tiredest.....at least in my past English classes... ;o)
Do the two em5's come from the lower left E or the 3rd row E?
I don't have either of them yet, Scrabs, Sorry.
They have to come from the lower left one because I just greyed out the other ones.
lower left E....
Monkey found them--extra vowel added on the em4/8, then pluralize.
i am heading out....goodnight ....
Sleep well, penquis.
Niters, pen. Nice to "see" you again!
same here, nef....bye....
emyded
Nope, it ends with an S.
OOPs. Sorry (& thanks, Scrabs)
46 left and I am done. See you tomorrow morning, Nef and lurkers.
Niters, Scrabs. Enjoy the snow while you have it!
evening, folks :)
hello jes. hope all is well with you
Certainly could be worse, bugs. How's things where you are?
pretty good. just more of the same old same old
I am apparently accumulating rescue kittens
I admire what you do but it must be so difficult to find proper homes for them all.
I have started outsourcing at least some of that to the Humane Society once I get them patched up :)
sedum
oops SORRY
not a word anyway apparently
and it's not even a word :P
Sedum is a word just not in this puzzle. It is a plant
thanks, bookwomen :)
that is why I tried it bookwomen. I often just guess at words
sometimes they even enter themselves!
nbt
I do too I often make up complicated words when the simple word is in the Puzzle LOL
I have learned that sometimes my brain sees words that I don't consciously see so when the mood strikes, I try it.
