Hubs had to get up and stand along the wall for the last couple of bits they did, he was too crowded. Little chairs - not man sized at all.

He did have to take off his coat - they did have good air flow at least, but it did get warm. It was a sold out crowd and we hadn't been in that venue before. Don't know that we'll go back either. The stage was dinky, and all seating was foldup chairs on a flat floor

Easy to stray...life isn't perfect. Keeps us on our toes! But health issues are the worst. Little ones aren't so scary, but sudden occurrences are frightening. I don't know how medical care works in other countries, but here, you need to get sick on a weekday or have to use the ER, and insurance hates that, so it's really expensive.
we have an in-between step, the GPs that are on call for the weekend or night. They see you and decide whether or not you need to go to the ER. Or even, if it is really urgent, you go straight to the hospital.
Yeah, if it's a real immediate problem, the ER is fine, but GPs take weekends off and tell you if you feel you have to be seen, go to the ER. If it can wait, that's when the insurance balks. All they do is the minimum at the ER unless you're bleeding out or something, and ship you home to wait until you can get an appointment.

Pressure cooker burn. Scalding steam followed by pressurized boiling liquid. 3rd degree burn. Not a good thing. But it is on the mend finally!

I had a nasty reaction to Neosporin, which is what caused the infection. Be wary of Neosporin.

Yes. And that was what was recommended. But, then the rash developed and I thought I should put more on. Which just made things worse. The steroids and antibiotics are now helping.

Yes. On my revisit, the doc told me there are some ingredients in Neosporin that a lot of people are allergic to. She didn't tell me that earlier!
Don't be sorry! I will consult a good nurse next time. I really think nurses know more about wound care that docs.

I'll agree with you about wound care on the whole. Nurses do the dressing changes & "request" what to treat wounds with.

Yes. I have used it before with no problem. But not for so many days on the same spot.
I won't be using it again!!!
from now on, stay away from the Neosporin and Bacitracin; because each time you have a reaction, your body builds up more antibodies & mast cells & will react worse(stronger against it) from then on.

Sorry to dominate the chat with gross wound care talk.
I used mine the other night and was in a hurry to fix supper to get the grandson to his Tae Kwon DO class on time. (I'd forgotten to take anything out of the freezer earlier). But I did remember that to cool it down fast; I put it in the sink & ran cold water over it.
Oh, origami; to nurses; this wasn't gross at all! We could have gotten into the whole size, depth, color, exudate, etc. of the burn; then serious details about the rash! ;-) THAT would have been gross! I would think that what we discussed might be helpful to others here...
I should have taken pics and sent them to you! :D I told the doc I saw for the visit a couple of days ago that they like gross stuff. She admitted it was true and even took a pic of my disgusting wound. Weirdos!
LOL! Well, that picture may go into your chart; I'm not sure about your state rules & regulations (nor my state R&R's either now) but we used to have to take pictures of wounds & then measure them & compare them with previous pictures too.

That's what she claimed. I asked her if she was going to show it around to her friends. She steadfastly denied it with a grin on her face.

No neosporin, I'll be casted & the doc informs me that my hand will be unuseable for 3 months (I've ben putting it off because it's my dominent hand; but the steroid injections just don't work much any more.
