Aus is another area that is often badly hit by fires. I saw some of the devastation outside the Melbourne area a few years ago but I'm amazed by how quickly the land can regenerate here. Hope it's the same in Calif.

I think spending time with the grands is fun. I love seeing events through their eyes...like experiencing it as a child all over again!
yes it is. once a month i am actually during granny duties. its such a delight. my DIL, with5 kids, works full time nights, AND is studying for her nursing degree

my son works from home except for that one day. i go in, take care of the 4 year old and try and catch up with all the washing.
I was up with my dau and SIL this past weekend for my 8 yo grandsons wrestling match and then the kids' Christmas program on Sunday (even the 2 yo participated in that one and was just perfect!) :)
oh i love this time of the year. the school concerts etc. such fun.
I'm looking forward to hearing about my g'dau's Danish Xmas (she returns to the states next June)...and, in the meantime, she's loving her adventures and studies there.
what a time she must be having. if i had only known. we might have met up. iwas over there in june and july.
Oh, no worries...she actually didn't leave until last August. She celebrated her 17th b-day there. Had a wonderful time!
