Apparently you can use "baked" baking soda instead of lye. Baking the baking soda increases the alkalinity. I have made bagels and it is a total pain. I will leave that to the experts.

I hand quilt them, and love slipping in little "in" jokes, pictures, etc. FOr example - in this quilt I incorporated the Rebel Alliance symbol from Star Wars, and the logos from six of Primo's favorite bands, the Elder Wand symbol from Harry Potter, etc. (WAVING my nerd flag now!)
