Hi Dan
howdy, dan!
Are you meeting up with any of the Melbourne babblers?
I don
I don't know! I'm here until Sunday morning, with free evenings and Friday + Saturday day
al
I'm sure if they know you're there, someone would love to meet you.
sounds great, if anybody in Melb is reading this, my email is my babble handle at gmail
Just looked through Who's Online - don't see anyone right now.
I seem to remember that Rose has her email addy in her profile.
FWs, last word ia 5
Congrats, Diz. Hope you're OK and not finding things toooooo difficult.
woo hoo diz
dan2bit, will you be up in Sydney?
Thanks for ia 5
Liz, am settling in to life on my own. So much easy than nursing poor old Steve for the past two years - I get to do ME things .
I just came from Sydney, actually. Had been there last week for a conference
where abouts?
I can understand that. I realise that the last 2 years were hard for you and now your me time is very important. It's still a big change though.
I was in the CBD (Masonic center and World Square). I did get to do a few tourist things and small walkabouts
Very big change - still go to talk to him, and the bugga won't answer me...lol
rode out to Manly, went to the zoo and did the special early morning backstage tour of the Opera House
Or he'll give you the answers that you want to hear ;)
BBL
good morning all. Ugh, again a tiny babble.
{{sprite}} hugs. hope you are okay. i'm absolutely stuffed and achy. gym really took it out of me today.
my poor darling *hugsssss* you are such a hero for seeing it through. *gentle healing vibes to your poor ole body* How are you for the rest?
I am okay, no worries.
all good thanx. still sleeping well. such a difference.
that in itself is a huge blessing. Am so glad to hear it.
well you go and put yourself through all sorts of knots with counselling. mine is the physical bringing on the physical, your emotional issues bring on the physical.
true. We are both heroes. In every way.
either way, we both suffer with the physical outcome.
fireflies. That is one tiny little easy grid :(
WTG SPRITE !!!
enjoy your evening, my darling friend, and sleep well again tonight. A big *hug* for you and Don, and one extra for you alone. I hope the pain will settle. Luvsya.
luvsya 2
l want tto know if it's "easy" j_ust like that or with lists, morewords or lckety
Its a tiny grid so I am sure it is easy
Sometimes, the tiny ones are tricky.
not this one - Bye all
I need clues for 3 6's I am stuck on an6, in6/18 an ma6 the first on, please?

WTG phae
darn....was hoping for a bigger grid on this snow day....
You folks just keep getting slammed back east.
yes.....15 in. last week....14 to 18 expected today....
Wow - 18 in is all the rain we get in a good year here.
snowing now and it's expected to continue until tomorrow...
FINISHED!! VERY EXCELLENT!!
congrats....
All I see is swirling white
congrats, godthaab!
wtg godthaab
snowing a little harder here, but not as much as it will....
lots of birds flying around in the back yard....weird...
It's a sign of the apocalypse
i was thinking that it was an omen.
We've switched over to snow showers. A sign?
Whenever you consider omens, you should think of them as good omens. Power of positive thinking and you get what you think about and all that.
sounds good to me!
sounds good to me too, hi all
snow showers have stopped and sun in out yay!
help with an7 pls
won't see the sun here for a couple days, i think...
I do not think this grid is easy peasy as some do
You aren't the only one Peri.
i am stalled at 13 left.....thinking of listing, but i don't think i will right away....not a grid i am enjoying...
29 left here
peri, against male
ty amelu
half my words are 4s....i find that annoying....
I have no patience for four letter wods...
i don't like them either...
truly stuck with 7 left....i think i will take a break....bbl to finish....bye all....
good morning everyone
hi nan
mmm there should be a mainline and there is no vanline, so have no idea what that 7 could be
there's not an "inline" either, but the 7 is an
ty sam
The Official Phantom of the day is initial, and I'm listing with 24 left because I'm running out of patience for this grid.
yep -- just listed at 26
what the heck is a bi 5? a set of twin nurses in india?
I think its a lectern in a temple
Dictionary says it's "pancakes"
oh, wait, that was the bl, not the bi. Sorry!
limpa
sorry
And I'm outta here. See y'all tomorrow.
bye sam
guess I stop looking up the defs all these stupid words
gm
I never bother anymore, cyber... seldom words I can work into a conversation ; )
morning/afternoon/evening all
normal person: what are you doing on Sunday? Babbler: nothing much.. just going to the naoi and then out to breakfast
question moo - where are you in colorado? or are you near either denver or colorado springs?
I'm in Longmont
is there a shortmont too?
yes, but I'm too tall for it
so north of denver
right, about 15 minutes from Boulder
I thought you'd be in Bonmot
hey ru - tried a new (to us) place in russian hill last weekend you might enjoy
heh
*!* - only 2 of the 26 were words anyone would know
I am going to be in Denver and the Colorado Springs area in mid April and wanted to work in several hikes... was going to see if you had any recs for places that would be open (meaning no snow) but sounds like may not be your area
which is that kje?
Zarzuella
Yeah, it's a bit random
Although you could do chautauqua in Boulder, it's got a few trails
I love that place.
us too - it is now on our favorite list
it's kind of always the same though.. so if you are just craving small plates it can be fun
don't know how I missed it for so long
bye all
bye nan
hagd cyber
25 to go
I will look that up, moo - love Boulder
I ate there a few times 15 years ago
i like la Taberna and Zuzu up here better
i lived in boulder for a little while when I was a kid
I love spanish food, and Bellota is great (new one in SOMA), as was Aaxte (now closed), but Zarzuella is more traditional and solid... one of those places with no fuss that we keep in a rotation
You probably wouldn't recognize it now ru
i bet not
i do love paella that's for sure
Well if you go to Boulder kje, you may want to try The Med
it's more Tapas tho
plus, afterwards we walked down and indulged in a irish coffee at buena vista.... so it was old school night
I'll check it out, moo! I love tapas... you could to try lots of stuff and don't have to commit to one big dish
that is another one of my most favorite things to do
They've got a pretty big menu, pretty large place, though it's got a lot of rooms, so you don't feel like you're in a huge dining hall
that is why I like Zarzuella also - it is small so less noisy... that is my age showing
I'm so happy for you KJE that you found a partner who loves to do the same things you do
yes, I am very fortunate
for a second I thought you wrote "I am famous"
hahaha - nope
zarzuella is terrific.. and it is quieter.. i might have to go there sometime again this year.
I'm going to La Folie sometime soon
bellota has really good paellas... they let the rice get nice and crispy near the pan as it should be
zarzuella doesn't take reservations though right?
I wondered how you'd fare at Zarzuella bc prob half the dishes are some sort of seafood
i like shellfish and stuff.. i am just not great with most fish
nope, no reservations... but it seems to turn over. We ended up going early. So at 645 on a Saturday evening there were still 2 tables left, by 7 it was full as would be expected
did you walk there from your house?
wow, hard to find words in this thing
there aren't any words in this one, just random collections of letters
innnnap for instance
10 to go
what does the 7 start with? (1st 2)
an
ty
got it, thanks
antman
haha
Hollywood put that word in enable recently
uh uh
though, wonder now how old it is... at least the turn of the century?
oh mna, just googled it - apparently it is a comic character - who knew
dictionary definition is not what I was expecting
is that a superhero who can transform from a man into a lesbian?
didn't click on any of those, ru... but it looks like he is an anti hero
I'm just joking
I know... but still curious who he was. hadn't heard of him, though not really a comics fan
I'm just making words up now
I'm always surprised it doesn't take mirin
fw

manlit (alternate) - the "stories" in that girly magazine that he says he "reads"

fi6/30...The guy all the girls are after : D
or a guy who really likes confiers
I could use clues for the A6/18, FI 6/33 and the last MA 6/21
a6/18 is a term used for preparing glass or metal against stress...the last 4 letters are a man's name
Uh, no, I wasn't talking about trees. Wood maybe, but not trees.
f6 is the one I clued just before you ask (also Molly clued)
Molly, get your mind out of the gutter. LOL
I was just trying to throw her a bone Molly
No. I have that one, I need the first one.
Oh, I try Phan, but it lives there. : D
ma6 - something you might store your files in

I am bummed. I was hoping to get a 2nd steroid shot in my left shoulder today. She said no. We need to see what is going on with an MRI. If I got a shot and needed surgery, I would have to wait 3 months for it! Now I have to wait until next week to get the MRI and then the following week to get the results!
You in much pain?
a fair amount. It is aching at rest and I have some tingling into my hands. The real pain is when I make a motion that tweeks my shoulder, like trying to dress or undress... or opening my car door from the inside...
getting settled in bed causes pain. Sleeping is interrupted due to pain.
sounds stressful
Surprising that they'd wait a week to do an MRI, do you think they're waiting for something, or is just that the MRI only has openings a week out
with my schedule that is the soonest I could get in. I could have gone in sooner but then I would have had to take time off from work and we are short staffed right now and being a nurse, it s
It's not great to leave the team short staffed
ah, makes sense
I always joke with my colleagues, that it doesn't matter how much lead time, or help carefully you try to craft your time off, it'll always be a bad time
so you may as well just go ahead and do it...because delays aren't necessarily likely going to make it any better
ya but it still sucks... I really had hoped for a shot, but I do have a small tear in the labrum found about 3 years ago. So, she is thinking I made it worse.
yeah, and nothing like an injury to realize how much you use that body part in regular life
No, delays won't make anything better. I don't know how people go around with needing surgery to repair a joint, I can't stand the pain and it isn't even excrutiating...
well often the problem is that it impacts your ability to rest and recover, which then magnifies the effect
harder to deal with everyday issues when you're tired and in pain
From what I have heard, in countries where they have "national health care" the wait for procedures and surgery is even longer. Shame.
In can be...though in Australia, where I lived with National Health Care, it was a hybrid model
For many things you could get in quickly, and then you could choose to have insurance which would improve the level of service, over an above the public
Phan, isn't your doctor prescribing some kind of pain relief medication?
