no cos, do it. yes it is hard, and you'll probably weep the whole time. but do it, otherwise you may have to live with i wish i had....and that is the worst feeling i can tell you. i never told my best friend to shut up and have the second lot of chemo, and i live with that everyday, thinking that second lot of chemo may just have saved her.

2:50 am

Too much, cos. You have to drop it all - one word, one feeling at a time, let it go - and just think of sending love. Share some private (very private) secret between you, remind him. Clear your heart and your head will follow.

2:50 am

you and Ryan deserve to share with each other for the last few days. are there facilities at the care place where you can sleep in his room, be with him every given moment?.

2:51 am

cos he is still with you. he can hear you. talk to Ryan.

2:51 am

listen to rose, cos. It's the truth.

2:55 am

cos, do you want Ryan to go without knowing how much you love him, how much you are going to miss him? TELL HIM... you have the right, and so does Ryan.

2:56 am

If you're going to stay online for awhile, cos, tell us how you met Ryan, what he gave you in spirit, did you work together? travel? which of you was the best cook?

Bonjour

4:23 am

Did you request a big grid madame? There you go. : D

4:23 am

Hello Molly

4:24 am

still no e-mail, even in the "fixed" laptop

4:24 am

My phone bill soars because people think l've died!

Set up a new one.

l think the repaired one contracted a virus; lt flashes at me and talks!

4:26 am

fens

4:26 am

sorry

4:27 am

I would suggest getting a new one then. Laptops are not that expensive these days. And if you do, be very careful what you open in your email. Never, ever click on a link in an email. That is how most people get virus and malware on their computers.

4:28 am

aaah, l didn't know that

4:56 am

I think I will go restock the PB. With no Lickety, li4 is going to land a lot of people in there. : D

8:19 am

404! Wowee!

8:20 am

thanks

oh no.. should have checked before i started

8:21 am

No, dive in and type away, Owl.

have plans for tonight, do not want to be working this at midnight

i am rather miffed that i could not finish last night. down to four and typing in the 4th and 3rd words when the server went down

8:28 am

I didn't know that happened. How frustrating for all that wanted to finish.

8:29 am

Hi Scrabs

8:29 am

Hi bichon. How are you today?

i was searching for may day morris when i noticed that there is one is your city, scrabbler.

8:30 am

What is that?

8:30 am

Sick. Have laryingits, swollen sinuses, bad cough. Hope you're better than I am

sorry, bich

8:31 am

I am well. Respiratory viruses are annoying, but you will improve.

8:33 am

Luv, can't find traderkate in the rankings

8:34 am

I don't this is a virus. I tend to get swollen sinuses once a year. Unless I am incorrect

8:35 am

COuld be allergic, I guess, but pollen counts are zero around here so far. More likely viral.

8:35 am

fins

8:35 am

Free word.

pollen counts are extremely high here - oak, maple and birch

8:36 am

The last of snow in my yard melted yesterday.

8:37 am

just went to rankings and she is there - go to Rankings by clicking above, when you are there you use <control> and <f> and then type in traderkate. She is in both the left and right columns. click on her name to get to her profile

teach, did you hear that the camp at buffalo gap is beting revived?

8:46 am

Scrabs, my bet is with allergies. Taking a prednisone burst

8:47 am

Oh, you have asthma?

8:47 am

Yes, which is controlled with Advair, usually

8:48 am

Are the trees blooming there?

8:49 am

Yes, I guess. Have been sick for 3 weeks

8:50 am

We are about 4 weeks behind on spring and will even get a bit of snow tonight.

8:50 am

Didn't go doctor sooner as we went on our cruise in France

8:50 am

Had never heard of that festival/camp but went and explored their information. Sounds intereting, but it is about 3 hours from here.

8:50 am

Ah, maybe allergens in Europe set you off.

8:51 am

Perhaps, wh knows. Keep waking up coughing

8:51 am

ge 7/36, pls

8:51 am

A night-time cough is likely from inflamed airways. Does albuterol help?

11:38 am

interesting image ursh

11:39 am

when I visited London years ago for 8 days it was mums day during one of those days

11:39 am

11:39 am

it was chilly and cloudy but we had a little rain

11:39 am

11:46 am

Thanks to zoozzoom, I am now at NBT-2, exactly max(2, words on the tile) for every tile.

11:46 am

I believe they use the british scrablle dictionary, which is far more expansive than the us one

11:46 am

I am in the practice and easy rooms a lot

11:46 am

can i get a break down clue for the other ad word pls the greek god i have the 5 7 7 8

Younger than Mick jagger and he is still going lol

11:53 am

heh

11:54 am

if you were to tell someone off, yo'u'd ad8 them. now drop two of those letters, and the remaining letters spell the word you're looking for

11:54 am

everyone is younger than Mick Jagger

11:54 am

Or you could just Google for Greek gods that start with AD

11:54 am

LOL

11:54 am

Jagger will be 75 in July apparently

11:55 am

McCartney will be 76 in June

11:55 am

Question : Do people who want to join babble or Iron sudoku still have to pay the $15 lifetime membership fee to get all the stats data or has it become free for anyone new joining?

11:57 am

no idea

11:58 am

Someone posed a question on the Iron sudoku site and I tried to answer it the best I could but I was not too sure of the answer.

12:00 pm

I just created a second, unpaid profile to test, and on Babble at least, I can see all the data

12:00 pm

Yeah you will see it for two week period if I remember correctly then the data goes.

12:01 pm

that is what I remember too

12:04 pm

hi everyone - back for round 2

12:04 pm

hi nan

12:04 pm

Welcome back, Nan :-)

12:04 pm

I think the membership fee disappeared a long time ago. I no longer see any reference to it on the websites.

12:05 pm

NBT-3. For me, one of the beautiful things about Babble is the ability to go about the grid in any number of ways.

12:05 pm

Ah thanks, Tallmike!

12:05 pm

Ur welcome

12:07 pm

was just scanning the chat ---- do non members get a profile with icons and all?

12:10 pm

I don't think you can play unless you sign up. When you sign up, you get free membership.

12:10 pm

I believe I have a profile if I care to fill it out.

12:11 pm

I guess Dr. G. can't be bothered to collect it any more. It was $10 when I joined then changed to $15 about a year or 2 later.

12:12 pm

I do not see a way to pay money to this site on this brand-new account.

12:12 pm

Yes I paid $15 for babble & $15 for Iron sudoku. Still think it is the best $30 I have spent to date.

12:12 pm

agreed zoom

12:12 pm

Seems to be the answer then, Mool??/Leaflet

12:13 pm

It's actually me/leaflet, but yeah, that seems to settle it.

12:13 pm

Can't be bothered to collect? More likely, doesn't want to feel obligated to continue indefinitely.

12:14 pm

Oh LOL sorry, SamamthaJoy :-)

12:15 pm

Don't say that, Tallmike, We have already had a scare this week thinking it was the end of babble :-)

12:16 pm

leaflet/sam are one and the same? - from the profile comment, I thought leaflet was Molly

12:17 pm

All good things...

12:17 pm

Life is ephemeral. Babble is a part of life. As much as we would like it to be eternal . . .

12:19 pm

True but there have been other babblers say they are willing to carry it on if the owner wants to step away.

12:20 pm

I am starting to sound like a babble addict.

12:21 pm

Does anyone here have a habit of hiding tricky puzzle words in genuine looking posts? It might be fun. It might help me a lot too, heh heh

12:22 pm

Could do it in numbers A =1 B =2 etc lol

12:23 pm

uusue has a list of scientific words that show up in her profile ... if you go through some of the flippers I think one or two of them have lists of babblets in their profiles

12:23 pm

Sprite has many in her profile too.

12:24 pm

When I first signed up for an account, I had 2 weeks free, then had to pay. So the leaflet account should check in 2 weeks...just my random 2 cents - I just turned on my computer, and was faced with the incomplete puzzle - I conked out last night before I could finish.

12:24 pm

Yeah it has changed to free now, Kamanjah.

12:25 pm

How long ago Kaman?

12:29 pm

NBT-4

12:30 pm

this is turning into a beast without lickety

12:30 pm

Mike, I don't remember, probably 5+ years ago.

12:30 pm

ARB has a list in her profile

12:31 pm

ty kaman -- like the icon, btw -- are you a violinist?

12:31 pm

You joined on October 3, 2012, Kamanjah.

12:31 pm

Violist

12:31 pm

I am so pleased you didnt say 'for free' zoom. I hate that. When did the language change from free to for free?

12:32 pm

professional?

12:32 pm

Well, then 5.5 years, haha

12:33 pm

No, semi-pro when I was younger, but I haven't even played in the local symphonies for about 5 years - an injury knocked me out of kilter.

12:35 pm

lol -- haven't played for 57 years --- was going to try to pick it up again last year, then took my bow out of the case, discovered it had warped, found out it was going to cost $700 to replace the bow I had purchased for $68 in 1958 and that was the end of that!

12:37 pm

* the pegs had shrunk and the modern pegs won't fit in the holes of my 100+ year old violin, so I would have to have new ones hand carved.

12:37 pm

I miss playing because I always got better from being around professional violists who played in the symphonies I was in as a "community player."

12:38 pm

I had to have a peg hand carved for my oldest violin. My dad's secretary's dad made it, it's a beautiful instrument.

12:53 pm

Perhaps newer players do not have "profile" information (gender, country flag)displayed in the chog, nor do they have a profile link displayed on the rankings page. I have updated my profile numerous times in the past, but this information never displayed in Babble (though it does in IronSudoku).

12:56 pm

JudyHall, I think you you must update your IronSudoku and Babble profiles separately. They are not linked.

1:00 pm

122 to go and running out of words -- hopefully lickety will turn up later -- bfn

1:13 pm

Yes, TallMike, I have slightly different profiles for Babble and IronSudoku. IronSudoku displays an avatar as the profile pic and the US flag in chat, whereas in the Babble chog, gender/flag does not display, but my profile pic does.

1:15 pm

Holy Cow! 404 WORDS. No list? anywhere?? Please tell me it's in someobody's profile.

1:18 pm

ARB created the list and it is in her profile

1:25 pm

ty

oh no, words are disappearing again. this is impossible!

1:29 pm

Just in case, I (hopefully) put a copy of ARB's list in my profile ...

1:30 pm

Indeed you did, Judy, and it's much appreciated. :-)

1:36 pm

And that list got me NBS & NBT. Thanks again, JudyHall.

1:39 pm

must admit I'm not up on Babble acronyms, so I have to be reminded about what NBS and NBT mean (sorry Kate ... I can't find the message where you told me)

6:30 pm

waiting for clues for others.

6:31 pm

i heard there are several po words including a 9 and i just dont know the base word for that group.

6:32 pm

wow - I think some of the words are from an english dialect spoken on another planet

6:33 pm

the po root word is po 4/5, mlf -- he who writes verse and anything goes as far as suffixes are concerned - some real and some not

6:33 pm

I would love clues for some of the 8s or 9s. 😉

Can he not run at all now?

6:51 pm

6:52 pm

Still missing loads of r's nan - sorry.

6:52 pm

Not allowed off lead in public (by law) and no private places without driving an hour (for 5 minutes running - is it worth it?) - He does do excellent zoomies from back fence, accross yard and through house. Does that a few times a day. I then spend 15 minutes cleaning up the racetrack outside! ( I have sand rather than grass)

6:52 pm

is it color + part of a fish?

6:53 pm

Thanks Pen - that's 2 of my missing r's

6:53 pm

That must be tough for him but at least he can run in your yard.

6:53 pm

Love the idea of his roomies :)

He loves doing it - especially when friends (dogs) come - it's his party piece - although we all get right out of the way - he's like a tornado

6:56 pm

When I was growing up, our dog did something similar.

6:56 pm

He was a mixture but def had greyhound or whippet in him.

6:56 pm

are greys allowed off leash in England?

6:56 pm

a lurcher then?

6:58 pm

Not sure now. Not a lurcher. A small to medium size mongrel - with lots of terrier in him but also other breeds too.

7:22 pm

I must be spelling something wrong then. The one I'm missing is before the string of pa words meaning to forgive

7:46 pm

I do have therapy scheduled though.

7:46 pm

You've got friends here who care - feel free to vent.

7:46 pm

good heavens -- why hasn't the health department closed the home down?

7:47 pm

There are far too many nasty stories about care homes. Makes me so angry that so little respect is given to those who need care.

7:48 pm

we cant let his final days in in that place

7:48 pm

My mother said, "This is a warehouse for the old and infirm."

8:29 pm

For me too :)

8:31 pm

Kate, did you get the link I sent?

8:31 pm

the chog is surprisingly light on clues... same series over and over... :(

8:31 pm

8:31 pm

what does the sp 8 follow..not sure where it fits into my large holes...

8:32 pm

...or what the ending is.

8:34 pm

ty nan, that gave me the 5/14 will look for the 8 now

8:34 pm

clue for the sp 8 please liz?

8:34 pm

Lickety would be great for this grid! I'm digging thru the ti and to groups, then have to return to finish the re words. 20 left...

8:35 pm

Plae to get a massage = sp* + something completed is do** + s

8:35 pm

sp 5/14 - digging implement. Then change the final vowel for another sp 5/14. The sp 8 ends in the plural of a number

8:36 pm

Or what Scrabs said

9:14 pm

ty lynxx. I thought I had tried that, but obviously not.

9:15 pm

This grid would be much easier if Lickety would get out of it and bring up his clues.

9:15 pm

You'll need a shovel to do that Owl

9:15 pm

The grid wasn't available when Lickety usually puts up the list.

aHA! TY!

9:16 pm

TO could also do it by playing the high suit again, if she is a bridge player.

did anyone ask him if he had time to run his program?

no but i do play sp5s

9:17 pm

am sure Rose would have - it is the weekend here and I know he is into sport so....

9:19 pm

I'm missing one lousy R and cannot for the life of me figure out which one. 5 letters. Reloaded the page even, hoping it was hiding in cyberspace.

10:24 pm

Can't speak for that one..I'm the youngest of 9

10:24 pm

10:25 pm

10:55 pm

Do you need more Ps Natasha?

10:55 pm

WE admire your restraint ruru ;)

10:56 pm

i have 7 left to find kate... along with another 133 words. I have to leave in 45 minutes - very exciting - picking up son returning home from his 1st year at McGill!

10:56 pm

so I am not very focused on getting to FW tonight

10:57 pm

which in a way is liberating, just having fun finding words without the pressure of needing to be perfect :-) could be a metaphor for life...

10:58 pm

okay, getting sprog home safely from 1st year away is much more important! :) What a great school.

10:59 pm

I have 75 left... not likely without a printer. for a hard copy

10:59 pm

sprog?

10:59 pm

It's been a real experience for him - I think he's gotten more out of being forced into all sorts of adult self-care than he has out of his classes

10:59 pm

offspring ruru

11:00 pm

is your other kid named eggnog?

11:00 pm

or, new recruit (in the military)

11:01 pm

well, ruru has obviously finished ;D

11:01 pm

only have the one... I'm the world's luckiest mommy. Got to have a kid long past my due date (turned 45 before he was born). Grabbed the brass ring on the last turn of the merry-go-round!

11:01 pm

pretty much a "British-ism" ruru.

11:01 pm

used to be married to a Brit (Yorkshire version) so I know loads of slang

11:02 pm

:D

11:02 pm

ok back to babble...

11:03 pm

well, I have to dive in a bot... if I can wrangle the list I should get a few more. random monkeying is netting nada.

hi, all!

11:13 pm

he melon!

11:15 pm

ER 5/12 after 3x bird(s)? from top corner E before er** while (at one time)

11:16 pm

what happens to a hillside in a rainstorm?

11:16 pm

Fish me! TY Natasha :)

11:17 pm

consider yourself fished. :-) I always miss the bleedin' obvious

11:19 pm

what are stats for less obvious j word? (I know the one that comes out of a lamp)

11:19 pm

nm monkeyed it

I need fourth row E for nbt

11:23 pm

en 6/18 and en 6/21, I think...

11:23 pm

go in the army?

d'oh!

As soon as I saw en6, I saw the word!

nbt nbs

pore

uh-oh PB for me!

11:24 pm

need one more F word... FI 5/18 after fish arms and legs?

11:25 pm

hey melon... did you notice there is no LIST? I will join you - hope the cabana boys have some wine!

in some ways, this grid is a pain. So many words have three suffix patterns, so it's 4 times the work!

11:26 pm

got it... the Scandanavian sea inlets again... don't know why I can never see that word!

No, I hadn't. Just got here. Our high school had its final instrumental concert. It was amazing. two senior soloists, so poised beyond their years.

11:27 pm

Kate, I have ARB's list in my profile ...

11:27 pm

yes, but no "tion" words that I have seen so far.. and thank goodness the J isn't a more cmmon letter...

The young cellist is off to study with Matt Haimovits. Wowo.

11:28 pm

I put it in mine when she checked out, ty Judy... it's tough without a hard copy and little time to do the matching of what is needed...

11:29 pm

sounds great melon! What did they play?

11:29 pm

LOL 69 to go in half an hour... Bwahahaa, not gonna happen!

The cellist played a movement from a Boccherini concerto. He's one of our "Cleveland Orchestra kids", students whose parents are in the orchestra. The pianist played a Kabalevsky concerto with which I am not familiar, and, get this, an alumn who is at UofM majoring in engineering wrote a new arrangement for the orchestral part, because we were short some wind instruments. I have to brag about our high school, Cleveland Heights High, aka, "Heights High." We have legendary instrumental and vocal programs, as well as visual arts. We have many arts professionals in the area, which helps.

11:35 pm

was the cellist stringing you along?

He took a bow—heh heh!

Now I'm fading. Will miss the flip if I have the sense to go to bed!

'nite all!

[poof]

11:39 pm

sorry melon, good night... was deep diving :(

11:40 pm

That sounds like a fantastic night.. especiall you having yur own music written to accommodate!

11:52 pm

DE 7/44 please?

11:55 pm

there is a de 6/33 and de 6/30 before it, don't have those either. have a de 4/8 before them
