Fled "destined path" (grad/law school), ran away to Israel seeking life with a keener edge. Loved it, but aging family drew me back after 12 years. Had a grand time singing - choirs, chamber ensembles, opera... Met husband in US - had our son at 45 - grabbed the brass ring on the last turn of the merry-go-round. So I relished every blessed minute of raising that kid. (He finished college in May.) I've been pink-slipped (had breast cancer 2x), so I never forget to thank the universe for letting me stay to see the sparrow on the sidewalk, hug my kid, and hear Beethoven and Mahler with tears of joy. I am an inveterate dreamer who loves a second cup of coffee, word puzzles, contemplating the sky and the trees, and listening for the liquid note of the wood thrush.
This world is not conclusion
A sequel stands beyond
Invisible, as music
But positive, as sound.
It baffles and it beckons,
Philosophies don't know,
And through a riddle, at the last,
Sagacity must go...

-"Zhoom! What was that?
-"That was your life, mate."
-"That was quick - do I get another?"
-"Sorry, mate."
