natasha, I have made real whipped cream for recipes before. yes, it is better, but I didn't want to put that kind of effort in for this mini batch of banana pudding.
Real whipped cream is great, for fancy desserts. I can deal with cool whip or canned whipped cream for pudding or other desserts that I refer to as "trailer trash dessert" : D
