Thanks for the heads-up, Krys10... I already have a mindblowing 30+ words.... the longest is only six letters. Good luck .

I have a renewed appreciation for those who usually do this: 4's..61 5's..37 6's..11 7's..1 A..11 C..2 E..5 H..14 L..3 M..25 N..2 O..4 R..8 S..30 T..6 PS - I'm curious to know where everyone's from - mention it if you post today? I'm in San Francisco.
Well there may only be 1 7, but its a very nice word :)
...but it's not monster, ostrich, or harmonica :(
argh, now I'm going to see monster everywhere :P
and monarch, while you're at it! this is a weird board, with so many duplicates in the lower left and upper right corners..
I'm not sure where all these 6s are hiding out .... am beginning to feel most of them don't exist :P
I feel the same way.. I have six of them so far. Mostly I'm missing 5's tho.
mosh is SO a word. ps. australian in japan.
This is a horrible grid. (Scotland)
Atalante, is the seven a common word?
Its not common, but its not a word you'll have never ever heard of. And its a plural of one of the 6s
(uk) I thought the seven was a french word - typed it as a desperation thingy!
way past bedtime........ 61 words for 630. I'm in Southeast Texas
That was anticlimactic - I just found the seven by accident. Turns out it wasn't a word I knew... guess I'm not enough of a nut fan!
Good Morning All. Just getting started. It's 7:20am here in Massachusetts. Usually I'm getting ready to leave but waiting for the heater repair man to come between 8 and 12 for our annual pre-winter checkup. It sounds like this might be one of those difficult grids. A challenge is just what I need to wake up.
Amor isn't accepted but his Greek counterpart is! Sini (from Finland, trying to widen her vocabulary)
Hi Krys10 its just about 2.10pm here in London England. The weather is yuck its been raining.
Hi Krys, and thands for posting the list. I am sitting here in good ole Noo Joisey. I've been to San Francisco a number of times. Nice city :)
Here I am in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I've got all the 6s and the 7 and am only missing 3xM, 1xR and 2xS. Here's my list of long words: 7-36 M 6-24 A 6-27 H 6-24 M 6-33 M 6-39 S (This word and the next are part of a series of words 6-39 S the shortest of which was a funny S word in a puzzle 6-27 S a few days ago.) 6-24 S 6-18 S 6-24 S 6-27 T
a song by Mel Torme sung in Seville
and in Southeast Virginia

Only rain here in Holland - think I'll join you for a round of babble. The grid looks worthwhile. Haven't got much time to play tonight, though.
jlm. Michigan alumna here. Go Blue!!!!!!!!!1 My cell phone plays Hail to the Victors when it rings. Thanks for the list of letters I shall compare
fit1 - I moved here to go to U of M, left with my husband for 5 years (to Connecticut), moved back 3 years ago, and don't ever plan to move away again! Go Blue! :-D
Ann Arbor? Are you at / working at the University there???
There's another RO4

You have my sympathy, Stevedallas :)
Theres one more MO5
steve - too bad we don't play each other in football this year! :) Atalante - I'm not at the Universtiy now. Got my BSE in Aerospace Engineering there in 1996. Just living there now and enjoying the wonderful universtiy town atmosphere!
There is also one more SO4. Still haven't found the MO5, but that leaves the other S to be 5 letters.
Duh - The remaining S is plural of the 4 I was missing, so there is also another SO5.
mothra = type of japanese monster
Are there really MO5x8????? I'm so stumped on this one. I have 5 of them worth 14 points and 2 worth 20 if anyone can tell me the point value of the one I'm missing.
Goodmorning, all. (and Marianne) I've just signed on for today. found 64/675, before I quit to do some sewing... I have the seven and five 6s, and now I need to find the rest. It's cooling down in Los Angeles - we expect about 78 today.
Why doesn't it like MOSH or CARHORNS? Two pefectly good words....
jlm - there must be a mistake somewhere, I've just got the final M, so have the 25 listed in the stats - and I have 7 Mo5's, 5 for 14 and 2 for 20.
That's good to know! I am missing an M5, just don't know which. I guess most likely an MA, so I'll look there. Here's what I have: MA4x2, MA5, MA6, MA7 MH4 MO4x10, MO5x7, MO6

I am also a Michigan (and Michigan State) alum. Small world.
So, fnurt, if you're a football fan, who will you be rooting for on 10/30. Bummer for me I can't go to the game! We have my in-laws' season tickets, with the understanding that father-in-law gets to go the UM vs. MSU game because he's an MSU alum.
And great clues, steve! Though I think I would have liked the Cadillac one better, LOL!
I was an undergrad at MSU, so I am eternally loyal (and perpetually disappointed)
Here in Chicago it is a cool, sunny yet hazy day. I have 80 words so far.
Anchor isn't there...
I nearly had to do my PhD viva at U Mich ... but I didn't in the end - sorry that's going back to convos from hours before
Hi everyone, I'm a newish member from Scotland, wish I had more time as this game is really addictive! It is wet and coolish here!
*yawn* I slept in this morning, so you are all way ahead of me. Thanks for all the waves from around the world, and a special one to Minski for having faith in the Sox just like this displaced New Englander.
jlm - just checking I culled the clues correctly - are there three SO5's?
Krys -- there are 3 SO5's
Thank you!
missing 2 M's and an R
Just starting to play today... Most of the family plays this game from Rochester, NY, but one of us lives in Buffalo (thus the "Boo West/Boo East" conversations) (we also go by Berekah and Benjake, depending on which way the wind blows) It's cool to see where people are from!
Hi all. I'm in Phoenix, AZ, US, the source of all heat. I am soooo addicted to this game. My friend, Tolinya, got me started. And I got my mom (in Colorado) and my uncle (San Fransisco) to play as well. TTFN.
I've obviously got way too much time on my hands... I was looking through the chat logs for games from a year ago. No one even used the chat log in the beginning! There was talk about a limit/penalty on random guesses (no noodling!). And people weren't nearly as nice to each other.
Steve, I'm also missing two M's and an R, but I know what I'm looking for - what have you got?
I'm missing 2 6s/39 and 6/24
The two 39's differ by one letter. It's a slang term, Joe's last name.
You're dead right Kris10. I played when the game was starting up. People were doing a lot of bitching and getting wound up about their scores/ people cheating etc. Its much nicer now there is a community spirit about the game. Give yourselves a pat on the back! I'm fae Glasgow in perpetually rainy Scotland.
It "beeped" my word!!!!
Harsh! no wonder people play nice now :)
i think im missing an r4 and an mo5
We can help each other, then. My Mo5's go: 14, 20, 14, 14, 14, 14, 20. I have 4 RO, 1 RH, and 1 RE. I'm missing an MA5 and an RO5.
its actually an ro5 and an mo5
look at my 10:39 clue for your MA5
Your clues are so cryptic! But I think I already have *that* MA5.
then how about the chain of grocery stores in the midwest
I like the game, but I like the chat log just as much. It's having fun together. Thanks for telling us about how things were in the beginning!
Ah! Steve! I got it the MA. the clue worked on me all at once.
Thanks for the clues but I still can't get them. Manchester England
im missing a MO5 for 14 which makes the RO5 worhth 20
ok got the RO now for the MO5 for 14
all my MO5's (14's) are plurals/verb tenses ending in s. i gotta go, will look for the RO5/20 while I'm gone!
Done! 110 words 4.56 1273 Wasn't so hard as it looked.
There is one Mo5 that is no plural or verb form. You use it for measuring time.
Which you knew... sorry, didn't read all the posts.
All Mo5 14's end in the same letter, except one.
finished thanks for the clues "On Wisconsin, Break right through that line, carry the ball boys down the field, touchdown every time!"

I mean the J, if u understand?
Starting late today...I'm in Maryland.

There's only seven.

I'm missing one R. I've got: RE 4x1 RH 4x1 RO 4x4 5x1 Can anyone tell me what I'm missing???
I haven't gotten quite that far yet, but earlier chat says there are two Rox5.
Both are NO4s :)

You're missing an MA5 fit1 :)
Hey Atalante. Denks. I found the MA. :)
Can someone give me a really obvious clue for the RO5 that isn't the sound a lion makes ...
Atalante, you're probably looking at the wrong R. Use the bottom left one.
Thanks rfh! A few minutes of noodling later ... and a new word for my babble vocabulary!
Stef, (fae Glasgow in perpetually rainy Scotland) - a slight exaggeration - but then the sun shines on the righteous:) It's dry here, just a few miles from you!
Are there 29 or 30 S-words? Krys10's list says thirty, but when jlm_mi posted looking for the last ones, his total was only 29, and that's all I can find. P.S. Canadian living in Omaha, Nebraska.
Never mind, I'm blind - it was a plural of a word I already had. Done at 110/4.56/1273
My first time back for weeks. Bad timing! Frustrated in Perth, Western Australia.
