Hi ladies! I just noticed chat started moving again. Hubs just got home from a week at his dad's so I was fixing the bed - when he's gone, the dog wants his pillows, so I have to remove them. NOT doing laundry for the dog to sleep on his pillows, lol!

it was mega hot and humid, so nothing much. Went to an OA meeting yesterday,.... my sponsor quit on me, so it was a bit of a challenge.
why has your sponsor quit? is she okay?

yes she is. It is my fault. When things are crazy, I tend to stop calling and reaching out, I turn inward. And she said she did not feel interested in my progress anymore, for her it does not work without lots of contact.
hmmmm, takes two to tango, honey. how come she didn't feel comfortable about pulling you up?
well, for now I just keep going. Will need to find a new sponsor, but that is a bit difficult for me... That contact thing is something painful inside of me that I need to overcome, step by step. I need to trust a sponsor to allow me to learn, not judge me and cut me off.
for her, it is up to the sponsee to initiate each contact.

but that is not the definition of a sponsor in my book. a sponsor is someone who supports, and if they see/hear you going off track, step in and re-direct you.

yeah, I agree, rose. For me too. But there are as many kinds of sponsors as there are sponsors, lol... they all have their personal style and issues.
could you try advertising? listing the qualifications you desire in a sponsor?
anyway, I need to be brave and open myself up to a new sponsor. I had this hesitant idea of one, but yesterday she did not raise her hand when they asked who was available as a sponsor. So I guess now is not the right time to ask her.

Sorry, got interrupted for a moment. 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (usually). The humans aren't always on time.
The little wankers are relentless, though. One walks on my head in the a.m. So charming.
Thankfully, my dogs and the cat are self-feeders. I fill the bowl and when it is empty, I fill it again.
