About the hearing. It's okay for ordinary purposes but not for the crisis lines. You have to be able to hear the undertones - not what someone is saying, but what kind of feeling is behind it.
rose is awesome. Loving, strong and a great friend. Am lucky to have her in my life, and we try and keep eachother afloat.

It's amazing how close so many of you have become over the years - even traveling to meet one another. I try to explain babble=buddies to friends of mine but they never heard of such a thing attached to a game. I tell them it's the game that's secondary some times.

Yes. Both the Tile Stats and the Word Stats showed up suddenly a couple of years ago. It made quite a difference.

Good plan. Infants need to be trained to sleep well and most parents don't do it, then complain for years about ongoing issues.
how does one teach an infant to sleep?
Allow them to self-soothe starting at 4 mo. Have a bedtime routine, with a security object, and have the baby fall asleep on their own in the crib. e.g. set the conditions for good sleeping. OR...some families co-sleep, if that is their choice.

my kids are at that "feral" age. I want them to have some independence (like i did when i was their age), but also some would say they shouldn't be unsupervised (riding bikes around our small town, for instance). its a balancing act.
Yes, they have to earn your trust and must have some independence. The feral children I refer to and perpetual toddlers--rude, disrespectful, irresponsible, etc. Then parents ask me what medication to put the kid on.
they actually act better when they get some freedom, bc they know they can lose it. at least i think they do. they're better at home ,anyway.
See, they obey and respect you. Many kids do not obey and respect their parents. Keep up the good work of creating great adults.
