Lots of people got their cars towed out of a flooded area this morning. Drove past barriers and signs. Now they are all calling to find out where there cars are. Morons.
Jsui- people here do the same thing all the time. Really, you deserve to have your car flooded if you can't heed a warning sign.
Some of them look astonished when I tell them they are not going to be able to drive their vehicle again.

hi folks - min, i've had one and had no problem at all, just sore the day after. coincidence, i have another scheduled for wednesday
Dentist told me I would just be a little sore and to take a Tylenol or Advil afterward.Dentist doesn't give narcotics.
first one was so easy that the one on wednesday is scheduled after work and i plan on back thursday morning

I've never had one; but my kids have had many of them (they take after DH that way). I think my daughter has had about 12 at least. She would take any & all meds they gave her plus the nitrous oxide, plus she used headphones as distraction. Plan on sleeping the rest of the day.

I asked them to put me under. They said they just use a local anesthetic.Such a baby when it comes to my teeth.

if you are no infected, piece of cake.
Oh I agree, go ahead & get the full anesthesia.
... even if you're not all the way under ... you're going to feel miserable when you're done and you won't concentrate on the driving ... you can get from point A to B but you're going to be paying attention to how sore your mouth feels not to the traffic ... ...

My dentist said I would be sore, but it is not painful. So I asked him if he was just telling me that to make me feel better. So it has different effects on different people.
(and that wasn't even so bad - he numbed the area with a topical first)

That is what my dentist said. Anesthesia shot would hurt the most. I am soo0oo hoping he is right. But I am such a baby and my teeth are oh so very sensitive!

I'm an exceptional weeny TO when it comes to pain
I once tried driving home (after oral surgery) when I lived Up North in the hinterlands here in MN. It's a distance of about 50 miles; but once I got in the car, I realized that there was no way I could drive home! I called a friend who lived there & asked if I could sleep at his place that night (I'm not a safe driver on anything stronger than tylenol)
he'll paint your gums with a topical anesthetic, let it sit for about 5 minutes to let the area get numb. then he'll inject the anesthetic, will probably pull your cheek a bit to distract you - it's not pleasant, but only for a few seconds
no offense but min, listen to welki. if you do not have a roaring abces - and they would probably not do the root canal until after they gave yo ua coruse of antibiotics in that case- you will be fine. the worst part is holdin gyour mouth open!
then, once the anesthetic takes full effect, he'll tackle the root canal - you'll probably be watching tv. the most disturbing thing about it is the sound from the dental instruments
The dentist won't give me anything for pain. He just told me to take Advil or Tylenol. It's been over 10 yrs since I bought Advil or Tylenol. I never have to use it.

and he'll be able to give you some samples before you leave - remind him
you won't even need that in all likelihood. i have had 8 of them fornt and back. i had an accident that killed many teeth.
People react differently to pain. My daughter has problems with teeth pain; my son doesn't. For him root canals weren't such a big deal; but if he got burned or a cut on his hands, he was a big baby!
Thank you welki from not want wanting the scare the bejeezus out of me, but I would rather be scared and know what to expect than to think it will be a breeze and it turns out to be an absolute nightmare for me.
