*hugs Kam* I was in germany for an OA retreat, came home Sunday night, then in nail training all of yesterday. Finally coming up for air now, lol. I am good, had a very inspiring and encouraging retreat. How are you and your beloved doing?

Oh yeah, more than ready! It is so nice to be able to go outside and not start sweating immediately! And hubby can work in his shop comfortably. I know it's a good day for him when his radio is on out there all day.

We also have a new/old addition to the household - a Siamese we adopted maybe 6+ years ago who wandered off came home! He's quite the character! Took him 3 days to dare to enter the house, now he's acting like he's the king cat, lol! The dog and other cats don't know what to think, lol!

He has been in the area, just "moved" - he ate next door for a while, but her cat crossed the Bridge, so no more food. That was a year ago, and none of us had seen him till last week. Boom, he's back in my lap. He needs to calm down enough to learn to be brushed again - he's been semi-feral for years. Crazy.

I'm thrilled! He was my cat, then...poof. Hubby's cat is always with him, now I have a very jealous dog - the cat 'moved' before I got the dog! Dog is doing pretty well, but got huffy when I was fixing dinner and the cat was begging too. Cat is named Nebi - aka Mr. Nibs
dog will adjust, they always do. Learn to share his lego, lol.
Cat only dared to march into the house about 3 days ago, so all will adjust. He was talking to me for about 3 days before he came back inside - we have a dog door.
I hate to think that it is only due to food - but the amount of talking and affection is more than just being fed, I think.

sprite, we are having some much trouble here. some disgruntled person has been putting needles into strawberries before they hit the shops. also a case of a banana and an apple.. when you think of the number of babies and toddlers who are given whole pieces of fruit to eat, te thought makes me sick.

and finally nursing staff in aged care facilities are standing up and speaking out about the poor staffing ratios, and how funds are used for food etc. some homes are allocating Au$6/day for food.

when i worked night shift in aged care, i was the only nurse there with 30 people to take care of. they wormed their way around the issue by saying the 'matron' was on-call when in fact she slept all night in her flat.
and i was not allowed to waken her. then the home was taken over by asians. they would not buy salt to cook the porridge with, and then they wouldn't leave me any bread to make toast with.

i had to resign. i couldn't work li4 that. my last night, i had to empty all the salt shakers on the dinner trays just to cook the porridge for the breakfasts.
really crazy conditions. Poor people.
btw, sprite. what does Rob do when you are away for the weekend?
feel lonely, poor man. He has worked his ass off getting more stuff thrown out and sorted. Overdid things enough to retrigger his bursitis. And he was so tired (and I was too) that we got into a fight on the way home after he picked me up. Sigh.
