{{{{{hugs}}}}}} for a special person. 8-) hello my darling girl. how are you?
*hugs rose* I am good, but soooo busy. We are almost done with the attic, can you believe it? About 35 huge boxes sorted, and 90% thrown out or given away, or ready to put up for sale.
how are you and how is Don?
i have had a quiet day, didn't go to church as i am in the middle of prepping for blood tests tomorrow.just doing small things that have been on the back burner for a while.
sounds good, darling. What are the blood tests for?
don is much better. and a double WOW WOWfor getting the attic done.
am glad the nail training is almost over now. Two more mondays, and then maybe a half day for electric filing.
tests for everything under the sun... loll. ordered by endocrinologist to try and ascertain what is causing my heavy sweats.there must be nearly 30 of them on the request slip... loll... i wonder if i will have any blood left afterwards.
omg lollllll. Okay, sweetie, I know I do not have to tell a nurse how to prepare... bring orange juice and let Don do all the heavy lifting that day, lol.
yup... lolll... and also bring breakfast as the tests are for fasting levels. i'll be ready to bite the crutch out of a low flying kookaburra afterwards.
omg yes. Are you to take your meds beforehand? Here we must wait until the tests are done. In that case, also bring your meds :)
i am allowed to have my meds, and lots of water too. they like the blood volume to be a little on the high side when they bleed you.
they call it modern medicine, but they are no better than the old bloodletters, lolllll
*giggle* welll.... a little better i think.... no bowls needed to catch the blood. ugh !!!
be glad they do not use leeches
i have been sorting out earrings etc. pinning them to black satin ribbons ready for sale at the church garage sale next month. geezz... some of them are so small. i had cramps in my fingers trying to hold onto them.
awwww sweet! I like the tiny ones.
talking of leeches... did you see the story of the young woman who was complaining of feeling stuffy in her nose? she went to her GP.....
nope, did not see, was it recent?
and he managed to remove a leech 3 inches lng from her nostril.
omg that is so scary!
yucky more like... i was absolutely gob-smacked. apparently she had been camping. the wretched thing crawled into her nose while she slept. ewwww!!
disgusting
acs
bonjour
must be such a relief to be rid of something like that
hey ya ruby. all good with you i hope.
sprite. i just can't imagine how she must have felt. you would probably have to resuscitate me if it happened to e.
Woke up too early, tarving, ate a huge breakfast with 3 tipl latte (bless Nespresso) now back in bed
lol yeah. It would outgross me for sure
starving* triple*
omg, ruby... you know for a little lady, you consume heaps. lolll and THREE coffees.... i would be hanging from the light shades in the ceiling... loll
must remember to feed you three coffees when you come visit, rose... I need to see that!
lolll... *thinks... must not hang upside down and earn the title of old bat*
better be wearing pants that day too
lf i Don't eat that way l lose a kilo every two days
resin
sorry - disappeared
or we will be seeing your he6
awww ruby... it's so difficult for you honey. and you're not very big to begin with.
what he? lt's long gone! l'mactually much bigger, l do it aol with mirrors and oversized clothes
lolll.... ruby....
fireflies. Off to start my day with Rob, we will drink coffee before leaving for the meeting. Rob is gonna bring his Nicaraguan rocking chair to a former co-volunteer of his. Darling, sleep well and good luck tomorrow with the leeching. Will think of you, as always. *hugssssssss* And to all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
WTG SPRITE !!! enjoy your day honey. and again congrats on all the work you have managed to do. xoxox
*luvsya*
btw ruby, i do the same... use mirrors and over-sized clothes to make myself look smaller...
when l would still walk properly and be less tippy, l wore '" hells or platform shoes; Now l shlep around in fuzzy slippers
nothing wrong with fuzzy slippers ruby. i love mine...
4" heels, but slippers to dinner parties with otherwise fine clothes & jewelry. Maybe you can get away with that when you're past 70...……….
*giggle* i'll let you know if i do..
ruby, sweetie. time for me to go. xoxox {{{hugs}}}

I also see a British writer too.
Jwr - Very excellent - you win a date with Boris!
rupe
oops
Aaaagh!
that wasn't for your rupe, sukee
Isn't he goudunov for you?
ow -
I've been waiting years to say that.....
now you can die? I had a classmate named Warren Peskin. Some older kids called him War 'n Peace. We didn't know what they were talking about.
I'll think of a return pun later today and next time I see you . . . .
At least die happy!
Too bad you didn't get to try it on ruru - but I think he'd have had something ready on the return stroke.
Yea, but you set me up nicely.
Oh. Of course. Yees, indeed. I did it on purpose. (forgot to tell you that)
By the way, I know why I'm up at 4:30 am - What are you doing here, or rather, where are you doing here?
I am EST. It is 7:30 am here. I am usually here at this time every day with a morning coffee. Are you in the L.A. time zone?
Please! LA, indeed! This is San Francisco, my friend.
Aaaahhhhh........ I have always wanted to go there.
It's a different time zone - socially speaking.
hahaha
I understand. That's why I finally moved here. It's not a bad place to grow old in.
Great meeting you, but what do I call you for short? Our own Dr. God has already taken the first syllable.
I prefer to remain anonymous, even though NSA, Google, and all those other guys have my number.(We were all hacked my Google last week) Most people called me God or Thaab - forget the Dr.
I was talking about your anonymous Babble name. We never intrude.
Well, most of us don't.
Thabb is fine. EST gives me a general idea of when to expect you (with or without puns).
God is fine. I just went to Google to find out about the battery hack, and I can't find it!
Sorry about your Google invasion. A friend of mine is one of the original IT guys; they have a different (better) definition of "hacker"
I am rarely a punster, and only very occasionally a conversationist.
No more of either, I'm afraid. Gotta get back to work. Nice meeting you.
Nice meeting you too!

thanks Molly but I don't know Yiddish. Are you saying it's Yiddish for a Jewish man?
Apparently you can spell that sh word two different ways. I have only seen it one way.
No, it is Yiddish for a woman who is not Jewish

No it's a non Jewish woman, used perjoratively
Yep, it comes right up in a Google search

My Jewish friends use it affectionately. They say I'm their favorite Irish sh6 : D

hu6/36 second one is like the dog breed.
that 2nd hu6 is apparently an extra word in lickety's list
and it is not accepted here
ty peri, just figured that out when I got to my last word lol. FW!
hi all
Hello, peri.
I just vacuumed bedroom, hallway and living room. jus thought I would announce it since I do not do it very often
And now you feel virtuous?
wish I could afford a maid. I do like a clean apartment. I do not like doing the cleaning.
I do indeed Haz1
i hate cleaning
that was meant to be an exclamation point after your name, Haz.
i developed a high tolerance for *ahem* dirt
I know, peri.
I hate it too I am sure there are dust bunnies under the bed
83 left, tough grid for me
I was raised by a mother with zero intolerance for dirt. Guilt lingers.
Sorry, zero tolerance that should be.
But I do like cleaning. At least you see results from your efforts.
I'm with Peri. I vacuum twice a year whether it needs it or not!!!
well.... that's one thing we have in common Haz
reki
oops
that r is freaking me out
Just joking. I get twitchy if its not clean and tidy
I actually have my house cleaned every Friday
It must be cleaning day. I dusted, vacuumed, mopped both tile floors and have two loads of laundry done. Spit Spot!
My brother has a cleaning lad named Mrs Ho. You can guess the jokes!
i have to vacuum every day because of the dogs
It is cooking day too. I have stock and red sauce going.
I can imagine the giggles at the bank deeha
its probably what we call 'ccash in hand' Ru
deeha's brother on the phone: .. hold on .. just a minute.. i have to pay the Ho
hes 90 hes probably proud of hmself!!
wow 90?
I'm not sure I could keep up with Mrs. HO at 90 myself
stock for what Molly?
Chicken stock. I freeze the bones from chicken I cook and then make stock with them.
oh.. i do that all the time too.. I've been thinking about buying a small stand alone freezer to store them.
I didn't know ho's every became Mrs. : D
i started roasting my chicken bones in the oven before putting in the water.. it makes a darker and richer stock
Ooo, good idea, thanks.
makes it a darker golden color
i buy these little sacks (cloth) to put the herbs in so that the broth is clear too..
i love the smell of stock cooking in the kitchen.. but that's just me
making chicken soup now. but i dont do stock. i like to make a meal of the soup stuff.
that stuff usually has too high of a salt content MKG..it is better to do your own
if you have time.. that is.. it is a time killer
We are having all day rain here today and there is nothing I like more than making sauce and stock on a rainy day at home. It smells so good.
well.. now we know you're saucy molly
I don't think that was ever in question. : P
got to get going.. watching football at a friends today.. hoping we get the best of Kansas City
Football with friends is the best. Go Niners!
*waves to the masses* Hello to all this rainy Sunday.
*Waves to Judi* I think the right coast is just going to saturate and float out into the Atlantic. We have had so much rain this summer.
Whoopsie. Computer froze up there. Had to re-boot. Yeah, we're over-saturated and damn sick of the rain. Although, yesterday was fabulous.
The sun has gotten to be a wondrous site in the sky these days.
Any one seen mixi lately? I haven't seen her and was wondering how she was doing after the hurricane.
Took a lovely ride to an apple orchard yesterday. Got all kinds of organic fruits. Also bought two sweet potato vines to plant in our shady planter.
I have to find something to do with all this eggplant I harvested today. Sick of eggplant parm...
Off I go...bzz...
Eggplant makes good compost. Good goat food. Otherwise, it's pretty useless.
Bea have you made baba ghanoush? Not sure of spelling. It's a roasted eggplant dip, delicious with pita bread or crackers.
Yummy!
Also, if you have Trader Joe's or Harris Teeter, they have eggplant hummus. I love it.
It's very garlicky.
That's the only way I can eat eggplant!
My mom and I used to make chopped eggplant. Was considered back then as a Jewish delicacy
I like to roast slices of eggplant & let it cool. Then layer on a sandwich with goat cheese, fresh tomatoes and balsamic vinegar.
Redskins are looking GOOD! woot!
32 left and I've had it with this grid. Gonna go off and get some evil house work done.
su 7/40, pls
bich - someone who mighta done the crime
It is good for eggplant lovers that it grows so well. I have never developed a taste for it.

I probably wouldn't have. But we ate in a lot of Italian restaurants and all of the folks in my family ate it cooked and chopped. Ate a lot of it in Israel too.
Nice to see The Redskins having a good game. Let's hope it stays that way.

You are lucky to get to go to games, Phan. I think I was ten the last time I went to a Redskins game.

I am wondering if we are doing the same puzzle. Some of the clues I have seen do not work in my puzzle! For example the non-jewish woman, or the next sc5 of the play is in 10 minutes...

.... well try again ... there are only two alternatives
and the non Jewish woman is spelled a little differently, I guess....
besides the last vowel, what is different?
... nothing
... for either
well, shiske does not work
reverse the last two consonants...

finally!
