definitely, honey. That is not a good thing, especially now that the eye is open again and you should see depth again.
Sight seems ok, just balance is whacky. I hurt my knee too, so that could be part of it. Walking just doesn't work right, and I'm afraid to go out.

ah, I see. First things first... health is very important. Though I know how tough it is to be low on dough.
Plus he used to be an EMT, but I don't think he's current on things! He thought I was fine, then today more bruising showed up...I don't think he realized how hard I fell.
he just should look at your face to know how hard you fell. And your knee too, I bet.
He finally looked at the knee today, it's twice as swollen...don't know why it took so long - guess I laid off the ice too soon? It's 5 days now, I should not be showing new bruises and swelling now, so he's going to have to change plans and get me to doc Mon unless tomorrow is a lot better.

he is. If new bruising is still showing up, it means the contusions are very deep into the tissue. Icing the knee is still useful, but it sounds to me like a doc needs to see you and make sure nothing more than bruising is the case.
sidenote: someone being apathic should be called an apath.
I know...wanted to go Thurs, but he thought I was ok and kept reassuring me it will just take a while to heal.

there's no drama and there is neglect. These injuries are too serious to be neglected. You have to be sure nothing is truly damaged.

Thanks, nan - two years ago hubby lost his house - and the rest of the family lost their summer places - enough already! And that family had to evacuate last year - but all had homes to return to. One friend has lost his home in the Camp fire this year - he's staying with father-in-law...poor guy lost his wife a couple of months ago. It's sad here in Calif

Bonjour! lt's another beautiful day -- sunny and crisp
"The cold" has arrived here. 26 degrees. I had my first fire last night.
l have fires every day because the house is cold in the Morning (with the kitchen door open,of course). The dogs didn't learn to use the dog-flap downstairs.
No frost yet, but l've stopped feeding the fish.
Oncologis on Wed but since the scan was unchanged, l'm less nervous than usual.

The bottom platter and the top bowl look very similar to some pieces my hubby inherited from his family. The bowl is crystal, though. Did you check & see if any of it was real cut glass or not?
the point is ,,,, I didn't pay anything for it... the bottom platter is a dime store thing,,, the one vase was from a flower shop,,, one bowl was nice,,,,, but I don't need a bowl..... so it went in the lawn art....
is that wasteful? no one uses nice stuff any more...

My mom died when I was 8, so my aunt & uncle raised us 6 kids (I was second oldest). When they had their 25th wedding anniversary, I was the only kid making any "real" money (I'd graduated from nursing school & was an RN) so I bought a silver service with the big platter, teapot, creamer & sugar pot & it was a gift to them from "all of us kids." (Even though I was about the only one who paid for it). When my aunt died a few years ago; I got that silver set; but there is no way that I'd ever use it because that's my life isn't that formal.

So that darn tea set has been sitting wrapped in saran wrap so it doesn't tarnish, in a box tucked away for no reason. I have a very dear friend that's from Iran (I even told her I was adopting her back when she went through post partum depression, & both her mother & MIL had passed away years before). Anyway, we were talking recently and she was going to have a party with an Iranian theme for some other immigrants from around the world, and I offered the tea set to her. She was so thrilled because she'd been looking for a large tray & couldn't find any (I guess that they use large silver trays for certain food presentations?

I do have a lovely "good" set of dishes (12 place settings); plus my everyday dishes which are corell, but it isn't a whole set anymore. Things break; so I've bought the closest to what the original set looked like, but even the outlet stores don't have the same patterns all the time (& it doesn't bother me that they don't match either.
but 12 sets of dishes; that's a LOT of entertaining!
I have my mil's Desert Rose ~ and use it most of the time,,, I have added to it,,,, easy just pink or green pieces....
they kept pulling boxes out ~

there's a store not too far from me where the real estate agents help people downsize (mostly seniors) to move; the stuff the clients don't want to take with them the real estate agents sell in that store. It's fun to go and see (& occasionally buy) things that are good quality furniture but at very reasonable prices.

the seats need recovered and I need to do that also!!!
I go there every so often & buy things I need. my Lazy boy has white paint on the middle of the seat cushion (from when my grandson "helped" me paint his bedroom 2 years ago; he took a break when I didn't know he did & sat down on my chair while wearing his paint-covered painting outfit.) So I've been looking for the right size and color of Lazy Boy; but I refuse to go buy a new one because I'm not desperate yet
I've covered the cushion & no one really knows the big white stain is there; but *I* do; but I don't want to take that chair when we do move; it's starting to show it's age & Idon't want to invest a lot of $$ in it now.
