nah... i like to sneak it into chog.... subtle-like...
i am quite chuffed actually. we have been shopping only the once or twice/month. it has been saving us heaps of money. no impulse buying like when we shopped weekly. it has just cost me AU$300 for a months groceries, meat etc. i only buy the fruit and vegs fresh when needed.
well that went over well. NOT !! xoxox and LOLLLL. hugs for my spritey. enjoy the grid.
Truther. Not a word. Imagine my relief!
i had the same reaction, harp!
tried it more than once to be sure.
I'm glad it hasn't made it into the vernacular!
it has, but has mostly fallen out of use quickly enough to be jargon, not vernacular i think.

good morning friends
Iwas just thinking of you as I found your name in the grid.
oh it's so! LOL thank you!
Hope your day goes well.
im covering an english class right now, for juniors - they look like full grown adults, and they are LOVELY - not a discipline issue in sight! it's absolute heaven
good

How wonderful, Trif!

hi welk
the name of the zydeco musician we saw saturday is i the grid! too bad he was not very good, imo
but you danced :)
ziggy marley?
some. since they advertise it on meetup, it's changed the gender balance. and yoi know men.
AAAAAH! you will reveice a lolvely parting gift.
andre theirry
i was eager to get back after four months out so i went anyway.
i didn't know you were a meetup person, Temple. I have been thinking of using that for some astronomy things - is it strictly for dating? I thought it was just like minded people....
thierry
oh no, it's NOT for dating. though people have met partners that way. it's interest baded.
based
excellent. in general, have you had a good experience with the group outings?
you can find groups for anything.
depends on the group. the first i joined was mainly social, bit i got bored with it after a year or so, same old stuff.
the one i am interested in puts together cruises out of plymouth harbor to go look at meteor showers - how cool is that?
but other memners would suggest other groups i the area they belonged to, so it starts from there. meetup has brought more money into the dance scene but has greated gender imbalance.
very cool i would do that in a heartbeat
i tried a travel group but it was mostly travel agents trying to fill their excussions. it's a trial and error process.
Hi Trif and Owl.
Had to walk the four leggers...Morning, all
bion giorno, scrabbler.
good morning scrabbler! I cannot EVEN with the amount of snow you have - ugh!
hi bea.
I was watching a fawn outside my window. She is alone and usually is with her twin and mama.
how much?
We got 15 inches last week and then most of it melted over the weekend. We have a fresh coating now but I want lots more for snowshoeing.
i must go start the day, lost time onn the phone to get internet back this AM. must get ready, first holiday party of the year tonight.
must buy or make something to bring.
i have heard the kringles sold at trader joe's pr aldi are delicious
has anyone had a kringle?
I probably have but I don't remember.
I like the Laceys.
bye all happy babblinf
Bye Owl
It was a stinker...Too many vowels... Have a good day all!...bzz...

Thankfully we have no C words today, Luv.
hi Scrabs
I was off checking email.
i dont want this class to end! These students give me so much hope
That is wonderful.
That is great, Trif.L loved teaching way back when l lived in Binghamton.
Scrabs, are you a "snowshoe rabbit"?
why doesn't the number after thirty nine have a u in it? That's so weird.
te 7/48 please?
to scare
thansk mael, that's fireworks for me! :-)
yay!
I am a snowshoeing rabbit
I am still thinking about that te8
Got it.
FW for me as well!
Brava!
any snow on the ground, scrabbler?
fw
We got 15 inches last week but much of it melted over the weekend. We got some new snow yesterday and more will come.
Yay mixi
I passed halfway so am done,
Forty doesn't have a u in it for the same reason we don't use twoty (twenty) or fivety (fifty). And the reason is...because that is how someone thought the words looked best. (Just guessing)
twenty is actually because humans used to use base 20 ("score") and, like ten, it got a special word... then it was imported into english from another language
pretty sure 40 is because people thought it looked better without the u though
silly people
all the brits are upset at the loss of the u however
the same people thought it would be better to spell the words "tough", "though", and "through" with the same -ough ending too
they don't spell it that way either
i always make my students laugh when I point out what happens when you add an S at the beginning of laughter.....
I see your brother is in the grid trif
joe? lol
yes.. or as we like to call him trifeolo
lol
bell is about to ring
I'm surprised Trif is not referring to Valentine as Contorni now : D
wpw that is an anagram of my pet name
wow that is
toocorni
And here I thought your pet name was Beloved.
: D
why on earth would I call him "side dishes?"
is that what it means side dish?
maybe you find him appetizering trif :D
It was the only menu term I could find that goes with Primo, Secondo and Tertiare.
what's dessert in Italian molly ? :D
Dolci, but I didn't want to go there.
Sorry, dolce
(prevents himself from commenting further and getting in trouble)
See, you went right down the same road I did. Evil children that we are.
re 6/18, second one, pls
not evil.. just dirty minds

has anyone ever made cocktail meatballs using ketchup and kelly (not cocktail sauce)? I have frozen meatballs i want to get rid of
Our family makes them with Welch grape jelly and Heinz chili sauce, they are great this way.
i bought the meatballs because i have a guest who demand meat with pasta always, and had the nerve tos ay he could not tell my homemade from frozen. it may have been a joke, but he's history and i still have the meaqtballs.
found a baby horse
i do not care for them, they are not browned, so am wondering if the sauce will give them oomph.
i tried to salvage them by browning them, but it did not work.
yes, just slow cook in a crook pot. they will be delicious.
thank you. i saw a recope that ised kethcup and jelly. bbq sauce would also work.
they are called "cooked perfect". hardly.
lo6? in6? my last two
don't like them with ketchup, chili sauce gives them the zing.
well then i will save them. forgot to see if aldi had the sauce an not going out again. l'll just bring cookies.
bad enough i have to drive an hour in rush hour.
lo 6 = hang around -- don't get prosecuted!
in 6 = most of gut feeling
oh - guess I'm the only one here -- see that the last posts were an hour ago
hi nan
tuit
FW
Chili sauce and grape jelly is what I use in the holiday meatballs. People love them. And they are better with homemade meatballs as opposed to the frozen ones.
hi again everyone -- errands done -- the day is mine :)
yi 5 please?

Oh darn. "truther" is not an accepted word. I'm crushed.
we don't do tr*** any more
"Tr*** isn't tr***!" - Rudy Giuliani "You can't handle the tr***!" - Col. Nathan R. Jessep, 'A Few Good Men' (1992)
The tr*** will set you free, but first it will piss you off. Or The tr*** will set you free, but first it will make you miserable.
