Re the cherry-rum-ginger pie, Seain. I saw that on FB and I think you killed the taste yourself. Rum or ginger but not both with cherries.
jac, when my kids were school age, i used to bake all day saturday. you name it, i made it. but not pastry, sadly
To be honest cherries need no more than a bit of Kir and some almonds in the filling and crushed in the pastry.
seain, who do you think cooks all our meals? very basic of course.i refuse to do any more cooking until i have a proper kitchen to cook in.

Choux pastry IS easy, Seain, but it broke my icing bag last time I did it.

today it doesn't feel that way. But yesterday was tough... had a severe case of diarrhea in the evening which means my system reached a total overload. Been up most of the night. But... this morning we were back to normal errrr you know what. Am telling my body that even though we are gonna work real hard again today, there is not reason to stress out ;)
of course it is not the hard work that does it. But handling too much pain and stress.
