hiya Christine! Going well. Surgery was successful, doc and plastermaster are very happy with the results so far. Now a number of weeks of putting no weight on it at all, and after that, the real healing can start.
yeah, both ankles in plaster. Right one a light one, to support the contused ankle that has to bear all my weight. And the other in heavy-duty stuff, to protect the ankle with the metal works and all.
just keep wriggling those toes. i know it is the only movement you can make, but it will help with blood circulation, and thus help with the healing.
sweetie, it would have been so great to have you with me. But you were there in thoughts and prayers, and that helped a lot.
wriggling toes all the time. And I have to lift my legs in a certain way to help blood circulation through calves and upper legs, and train the muscles as much as I can.
Ugh ... weeks of spongebaths. But how great that first shower will feel.

you CAN shower with help. both legs in plastic bags, and elevated on a stool outside the actual shower stall.
Rob is gonna find me shower bags. The shower stall at the canoe club has a plastic seat. So it will happen before the 6 weeks are over. But not right away... first a little bit of healing before I will try and navigate the route to canoe club and all.
Terra is so happy I am home again. He insists on lying right by me... of course, ON my feet!

oh God no, I love that. I am all for excentricity. Had a tonne of fun with Rob... he pushed my wheelchair over the bicycle paths because that is easier than the streetwalks. And I went: "I am a bike! I am a bike! I am a bike!" And then he went back on the streetwalk and I went: "Awwww I am not a bike anymore..." And people were looking and you saw them think, lol. Some laughed though.
dear crossy is trying to get me to join a new social me5 site. i will have to email him, say thanx, but i don't have a) a phone with those sort of apps and b) i am to scared to open up yet another avenue for hackers to get to me. i have enough trouble with those so-and-so's now. i have been hacked from USA and also the UK. too scary for me.
