12:28 am

No such thing as oreos?

12:31 am

12:33 am

It won't take satan OR santa.....

12:40 am

Only fair, I guess. :-)

1:10 am

225 words in this puzzle...seven 8 letter words, 17 seven letter words! (This is using wordracer, so may be off by a word or two - hopefully someone will post full stats later...)

anyone have more than a 6?

oops thanks Krys we posted at the same time :)

7:25 am

R

Ashy, remember to work sometime too... S

8:41 am

there is a 9/54 connected to that 8/40 as well

8:45 am

I've also got two more 8s - for 50 and 40 in S this tme

8:47 am

ooooooh so there is - hurray for 9s!

9:01 am

woot got the 8 and 9 with like a total random guess! lol the brain must be in the 'on' position today!

9:59 am

s8 50 The plot or outline of a play

10:04 am

2 6/7 pairs in E that "are all wrong" :) the other s8 for 50 is a type of rodent

10:10 am

Nevermind! Funny that we posted at exactly the same time. :-D

10:13 am

I "ran astray" with this e 6/7 combo

10:14 am

Well, now. Isn't that an interesting O7 for 36?!?!?!? I'd heard the word somewhere before and tried it and it worked. Guess I never knew the definition before!

10:16 am

And there's another 8/S/50 that is a religion.

10:20 am

An i/8/40 related to one of the E6/7 "all wrong" combos mentioned before.

10:21 am

The other 9 is very very fast. (think planes)

10:25 am

I have a 6/7 combo that is the name of a popular beer and its plural.

10:30 am

At 10:04am Wendrie said that the other S50 is a rodent. I just found an 8/S/40 rodent. So, I have 5x8 and 2x9 now, with this being my list: 8-40 i 8-40 r 9-54 r 8-50 s (religion) 8-40 s (rodent) 8-50 s (story line of play) 9-66 t Can anyone confirm that the missing 8 is or is not an S50 that means rodent?

10:31 am

there are 4 words, including a seven, associated with that Australian guy with the nature show. I think his name is Steve.

10:35 am

Good clue, parsec! Although for the sticklers, only 2 are strictly related to him. The others look similar, but one is the plural of a flower. The only definition of the 7 that I can find has to do with the color strength of saffron.

10:38 am

thanks, jlm, for the definitions. I get lazy about those.

10:40 am

We are sooooo close to being able to make cornice and crescent!

10:44 am

and if there were only an E in that right corner, we could have ornate, coronate, innate, probably some others...

10:47 am

Ah! there is another S/8/40. I was noodling for possible chemical words, but actually it has to do with test scores.

10:47 am

So then I think there must be no 8/S/50 rodent word.

11:09 am

So, the big words. I have all the 8/9 letter words and 12 of the 18 7s: 7/36/C - crown 7/44/C - having to do with the color of saffron? 7/28/E - one who wanders about (plural) 7/28/E - mistakes in printing or writing. Funny, it's actually the plural of a plural. :-p 8/40/i - containing no mistakes 7/28/i - crazier 7/28/i - immediate 7/36/O - masturbation 8/40 R - strong and deep in tone 8/56 R - plural of 8/40/R 7/36 S - of the devil 8/50 S - religion 7/28 S - a voiced speech sound (plural) 7/28 S - musical compositions 7/28 S - a 9-point scale used for normalized test scores 8/40 S - plural of previous 7/36 S - of or relating to tin 8/40 S - a mole 8/50 S - story line of a play 9/66 T - very fast

11:15 am

Add a 7/36/C to the beginning of the list. It means "resembling a tendril" but sounds a bit like a liver disease.

11:51 am

T/7/28 -- highborn female

11:52 am

and T/7/36, insectivorous mammals, variant spelling.

12:01 pm

and an m/7/44 with no definition, but it seems to be the kind of screwup that might happen at a mint? I think that's all I have that jlm didn't list. I swear.

12:03 pm

That M7 is great!

12:36 pm

Yep - having finished painting radiators.... I mistyped :( the s8/50 should have been a s8/40 and it was a type of rodent or mole....

2:05 pm

Can anyone help me find the last i word? I have: iN4, iN5x4, iN6x4, iN7x2, iN8 iR4x2, iR5x2, iR6

3:15 pm

Nevermind. For anyone needing i help it was an iN4, very common word. I was just blind. :)

3:39 pm

I cannot imagine how there are 55 S's. I keep trying combo after combo and I am still miles away!

3:41 pm

I'm up to 47 but stumped on those last 8. Here's what I have so far, just by second letter. We can compare length if it's helpful, but it's much more work! :) SAx7 SCx7 SEx7 Six3 SMx1 SNx2 SOx13 STx7

3:57 pm

I'm still looking for Cs, Ns, Ss and Ts. I've already posted my breakdown for Ss and will now for the others: CEx4, Cix5, COx8, CRx6 NAx9, NEx2, Nix3, NOx7 TAx12, Tix3, TRx2, TSx2

4:19 pm

I have a total of 7 Ce's

5:03 pm

5:20 pm

I have one extra SO, but I am short one ST, so we are even. SO4x6 SO5x3 SO6x3 SO7x2

5:22 pm

I also have TIx4.

5:36 pm

For STs I have 4,5x2,7x2,8x2 Satan is considered a proper noun by babble.

5:37 pm

Hey, the ST5 I was missing can be made plural.

5:39 pm

Indeed it can! Thanks!
