12:20 am

12:20 am

Theres a 7 for 44 too

12:41 am

10 for 98!

12:44 am

what does the 10m start with?

12:55 am

D

1:21 am

got another 8 but i can't find that 10

1:22 am

and two 9's from the 8

1:47 am

oooh, i found the d 10, now i can go to sleep.

3:03 am

babblestats 4 ..... 68 5 ..... 44 6 ..... 20 7 ...... 7 8 ...... 3 9 ...... 2 10 .... 1 ======= total 145 ======= A 14 C 1 D 36 E 7 F 3 N 11 O 6 P 13 Q 4 S 27 T 22 U 1 I think these stats are OK seeing there's not another U letter beside the Qu

6:06 am

The other bad thing about Q in that solver is that it would, for example, find words in this puzzle that begin QA with no U. But, a2z wordfinder shows only 6 QA words and none of them can be made here, so the stats should still be good. :)

7:30 am

woohoo got the 10 :)

9:11 am

Would someone with a background in perception and cognition please explain why A-words are harder to see?

9:14 am

I have nooooo idea, but its definitely true!!

9:18 am

A9/60

9:21 am

So there are two nines and an eight, all related, all A's?

9:22 am

That's right. 8/45, 9/66 and 9/60

9:33 am

all very closely related

9:35 am

aha! neat!

9:42 am

In addition to that A8 the D8/65 was mentioned early on. Does anyone know what the 3rd 8 is?

9:44 am

Anyone interested on collaborating on D's? I'm missing three: DAx5, DEx14, Dix1, DOx11, DUx2

9:48 am

Could someone please tell me if the D10 is related to the D8?

9:51 am

It's not, but it's related to two D7s.

9:51 am

I am missing 2xD. I have DAx6 and DOx12 but I'm missing one of your DEs. For DAs I have 4x4 and 2x5. DEs 4x4, 3x5, 2x6, 2x7, 8, 10 DOs 4x4, 5x5, 6, 2x7.

9:53 am

Thank you!

9:54 am

OK, I just found a DE6 so I guess that just leaves one more D to go.

9:55 am

There's another DE6

9:55 am

oops posting at the same time :P

9:57 am

You're missing a DE6. Thanks for the help, now we're only missing one more.

9:57 am

:P I'm way behind this morning!

10:12 am

I have a second DO6, which I think finishes the list. Now I can try to find the rest of the larger De's! :-)

10:13 am

Just found that second DO6 too! Finished the Ds :)

10:16 am

Great! Very helpful to know. Now maybe I can get some real work done for a few minutes. ;-)

10:29 am

Real work? Real work?? How is that important compared to Babble :P

10:35 am

Today is my day OFF, and I actually plan to tear myself away and get some things done today besides Babble! (back later - got all the Ds as well - thanks for the help!)

10:35 am

I didn't say it was important, but I do have to put up a front! ;)

11:10 am

*snickers*

11:42 am

Help! The Es are driving me nuts!!!!! I have 5: EP4, EP5, ET4, ET5, ET6 Can anyone help with the other 2?????

11:47 am

Has anyone found the 3rd 8 yet??

11:48 am

can't help at all - I've got the same as you and am getting really irritated with them!

11:49 am

Sorry, same problem here.

12:02 pm

I cant find it either

12:03 pm

Yes! Found the missing 2 E's. And the 3rd 8 as well. E7/32 - E8/45 combo. Something to conclude your writing with. ;D

12:05 pm

Once again, when you know they're there, they jump out! Thanks testing123. :)

12:16 pm

So, all the biggies. 9-66 A - remedied, as in a snake bite 9-60 A - remedies used above (plural) 8-45 A - remedy used above (singular) 7-44 A - free of germs 7-44 D - head downward 10-98D - offspring 7-40 D - a downward climb 8-65 D - having to do with a ruler with absolute power 7-36 D - gave 7-32 D - gives 8-45 E - a place to cite references in a book (plural) 7-32 E - a place to cite references in a book (singular) 7-36 N - coming into existence, emerging

12:24 pm

*sigh* those were very obvious once you knew what to look for

12:30 pm

I am missing 1 O. I have OD4, 2 OP4's, OP5 and OP6. Any idea what I am missing?

12:31 pm

Ot4

jlm, if you're still missing a D, there is a DI4 you didn't say you had.

12:33 pm

Thanks, testing123, I got it! :)

12:34 pm

RFH - Krys10 posted the Ds first and included that Di. I was just posting things that we had different. I'll even list the 6s since there aren't too many. Then I'll posting for a bit more help to wrap this up. 21A - positively charged electrode 27A - to climb 24 A - climb (noun) 33 D - portray 24 D - no def., perhaps to clean feet after visiting the beach? 27 D - an omnipotent ruler 24 D - acted foolishly (archaic) 21 D - to give 21 E - musical exercises 30 O - branch of physics dealing with light and vision 27 P - One who pays undue attention to book learning and formal rules. 27 P - resembling a foot 27 P - position of a horse when rearing on its hind legs with its forelegs in the air 24 P - spanish coin 27 P - fake 21 S - to make calm 30 S - of or relating to the presence of germs 27 S - british slang for the tool used in a car to measure rate of travel 24 T - pith helmet (plural, variant spelling) 30 T - areas of focus, particularly in a discussion

12:38 pm

So, I did find all the Ds. Now I'm missing 1 each of A, N, P and S. 2 are 4s and 2 are 5s. Here's what I've got. They can be expanded to length if it's helpful later. AD, AN*6, AS*5, AT / 3x4, 3x5, 3x6, 7, 8, 2x9 NA, NE, NO*8 / 6x4, 3x5, 7 PE*7, Pi*2, PO, PS*2 / 6x4, 1x5, 5x6 SA*5, SC*2, SE*8, SP*9, SQ*2 / 11x4, 12x5, 3x6

12:40 pm

There is an Ad5 and Ad4.

12:40 pm

Nax2 (7 and 5)

12:41 pm

You're missing an NA5. I'm still missing A's, P's, S's, and T's, so I can't help with the others.

12:43 pm

You're also missing a PE.

12:43 pm

Oh, I can help: I have 8 PE's: 6,6,5,4,4,4,6,6

12:48 pm

Wow thanks for all the help! With that I found those words and determined I was missing an S4 which I noodled for. So, I believe the final tally is 145 words for 2226 points.

12:53 pm

jim_mi, could you give some help on the T's.

1:10 pm

BBee, for what's it's worth, I'm missing only three T's and this is what I have: TA4, TE4x3, Ti4x3, TO4x5, TO5x5, TO6x2 I know the three I'm missing are 4x2 and 5. Hope that's helpful.

1:11 pm

I have Te4x4

1:12 pm

Thanks, You're missing 2 TEX4

1:16 pm

So there are 6 Te4's?

1:17 pm

There are also TO5x6.

1:17 pm

I think only five TE4's, because the other word I'm missing is a five-letter word.

1:18 pm

there are 5 TEX4

1:19 pm

Thanks! Almost there.

1:39 pm

Another TOX5

1:40 pm

Any hints on the U?

1:41 pm

I have a U4.

1:44 pm

Thanks, found it!

1:47 pm

First time I babbled on paper and found all the words! Not a very hard grid, this one.

2:56 pm

I'm missing an F and a Q. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have fe4, fi5 and qu4, qu5x2 (I'm also missing an S, but I think that's my fault, not reading the clues right. I'll find it if it takes all afternoon!)

2:57 pm

got the Q. (another 5)

2:58 pm

another qu5 and an fi4

2:59 pm

Thanks! got it!

3:04 pm

Can anyone help with the E7 and E8, I cant seem to find them from the earlier clues

3:05 pm

check the great clues at 12:03 and 12:15. :-)

3:07 pm

Finished! Yay!! :-)

3:27 pm

Still cant find the E7/E8

The e7/e8 is a compound word.

3:48 pm

Does the 8 really go before the 7?

3:50 pm

no, it doesn't. No wonder I couldn't find it.

Ooo Ooo my first 10 Letter word :) :) Yipppppeeeeeeee! Look to the past ;)

Still missing an S and several Ds, but I just can't be bothered. The last few words always take forever.I'll be stopping at 138/4.92/2132

Personal best 714 for 58 words and two nine letters :))))

I lied... I came back for the rest. 145/4.92/2226

10:56 pm

ia there really an fi 7, i think i reaad that in the log but i haven't seen it yet.

11:18 pm

no FI7, just FI4 and FI5

11:22 pm

Hooray! I got 'em all! :)
