We had an incident here where a large piece of equipment on a trailer somehow took out SIX power poles down the two blocks from here - after that was dealt with, I had no internet, either. Was on the phone for an hour and a half just waiting to talk to my internet provider to even begin to report the outage. Just this week, too. Then it was three days before I could have someone come and sort it.
customer service. gotta love it.
plus I just changed cell phone providers after 20 years with the same one, and it took four calls and six people to register a newer phone I bought so my minutes would go onto it. They asked if I wanted to hang on after the call for a survey, I said "best not do that today, I might say something derogatory!" haha.

I have close neighbors and one time I had an Amazon pkg that was supposedly delivered. I called them and they opened a case with USPS. Then I noticed my neighbor across the street had a pkg so I texted her and it was mine. Next day USPS contacted me to say they had delivered it to the wrong house.

Hi everyone! We live in a neighborhood that's about 50% students, so lots of turnover. We get other people's mail frequently.
One time a misdelivered amazon package sat unopened in the foyer of a house the next street over for ONE YEAR. Someone finally noticed when they were all moving out. They all assumed it belonged to another roomate.
that's an impressive lack of noticing detail an their part.
It was a Kindle and my husband was afraid to use it because it had been reported missing and needed to connect with the network to do anything useful. So he sent it back, and it was a bureaucratic nightmare to do so.
I know, right? I mean, not only wrong street name, but the name wasn't in fine print either.
At least they did have the sense to knock on our door.

The weird thing is he didn't bring the package with him. My husband had to go over there to get it himself. It's a Kindle, not exactly heavy or large. Amazon was good about replacing it quickly when it was marked delivered and we didn't get it. I will say that was an easy experience.
We once got an urgent letter from immigration that sat in our hold mail for almost three weeks while we were gone. The student down the street it was addressed to had already moved by the time we got back. I really hope things worked out for them.
