my poor neighbour has just been diagnosed with short-term memory loss. it wasn't a big deal to me, i could tolerate her repeating herself. but apparently she 'knew' something was wrong and she was very depressed. now she going to go through all the pathology stuff.
okayish. Still getting used to the soft cast. Much more movement possible, which is good, but also painful. Especially side-to-side movements that require the long screw taken out, which is not the case yet, lol

I know that, hursh. It is rather vexing for me, though. I have changed my babble time from fliptime to now just because the whole clue fest. This used to be a challenging game where you could choose to have help or do it by yourself. Now it seems it is impossible to play without getting help forced on you.
i know - it was probably a better system when there was a moratorium on cluing for the first hour or so after the flip
but then some people just ignored that so it was hard to maintain :(
I miss the whole clue fest. Everyone pitched in, and there were lots of folks. now it just fades out in no time. I often wish Lickety didn't show up till much later, not that I'm not grateful.

lickety is optional. You can either use his help or not. The clueing in the chat is not, it is impossible to ignore it unless you hide the whole chat and miss out on touching base with your babble friends.

as I recall, it seems you two used to chat at least an hour or more later than now, like at 2:30 or 3:00 chog time. This is barely an hour and a half past flip. is that due to daylight savings time, I wonder?

chat used to be for the social side of the game. Now, it is more important to call biggies first that it is to greet eachother and chat. Sometimes I wish we could have an old school babble game without any help available at all, next to the game we have now.

I played long before you came here, I think, rbud. We didn't have any help. And giving biggies or clues without being asked was not appreciated. Over the years, there has been a huge shift from babble being a challenge to dummying it down to filling in the blanks. I find that not progress. But it seems I am one of the very few who thinks so and still wants to chat. The rest has stopped being part of the community.

at first, it seemed i had far too much time on my hands - don't know if you knew, but i had some foot surgery last fall. it's only during the last week or two that i can actually walk a decent distance without severe pain - so now i'm on the go :)
Afraid not. Couple of nurses came a week ago to change dads catheter but they tried twice...could not get it in. Next thing we had to call the ambulance as there was blood everywhere.

aw zooz, must have been horrible for your dad, the pain, the process, the embarassment. folks his age don't deal well with that sort of stuff - heck, folks any age don't deal well with it
True I had to try and help him. I kept him calm until we got to the hospital. He spent four days there. Man was he grumpy.
Of course he is dreading the next time it needs changing.
