Ow, what a weird grid! More than a third is I or E and all in one corner...
BabbleStats 4 .... 86 5 .... 38 6 .... 24 7 ..... 4 ========= total 152 ========= A 5 D 33 E 6 i 2 L 6 N 10 O 7 P 9 R 15 S 12 T 24 U 1 V 14 W 6 Z 2
2x 7/44
Goforit, you are an angel! Thanks! Played without stats yesterday and I really missed them.
sorry i couldn't help you yesterday ... wasn't online at the right time i don't think i'd play without stats now ... i hate that not knowing what i'm aiming for feeling.
7/40 I hope you don't feel pushed to do the stats. ;-) I am really glad when you have time to do them, but no apologies needed when you don't! I did play yesterday, and liked it, but with the stats it would have been more relaxed. Thanks again.
Any hints as to what these sevens start with?
Well even if i'm not playing the full game online, i can use the stats just to see if i can get all the words on paper for one or two start letters :)
Good tip, goforit! Might give me some grip on this addiction.
7's so far: D44, S44, V40.
The 4rd 7 is also a D44
Eh, I can't find any of them. I am terrible with the words beyond 6s.
I had the same when I started with this game, actually. The longer words take another way of looking, usually you don't see them at a glance. Good luck hunting - I'll post some definitions later on.
Aarrgghh! I want to make platitude!
This was a nice one! Many words I liked finding (6/30 E, I, O for instance, or one of the R5/10's). 152 words / 4.64 / 1868 points
Oh thanks for the stats - they make the game so much more fun for me.
Got kicked out when posting the hints for the 7's... must do them again! NOT nice! D7/44: an enthusiast D7/44: applies oneself entirely S7/44: shipped cargo V7/40: a solar god, worshipped by a cult. But you can also take a classical word for 'chaste, pure' and insert an R.
goforit, Thanks for the stats. sprite, Thanks for the clues.
teehee, babble's getting out the **te
arghhh why doesn't it like English spellings of words!!
Sprite, when you said this: Many words I liked finding (6/30 E, I, O for instance Did you mean to suggest that these three words are a set together?
I don't think that's what sprite meant. The i and the O are similar (same but the starting letter) but not related to the E. They're just all cool words to find. :)
Well, I should say that I have an E/6/30 that is not related. Maybe there's another that is???
That's what I thought - just wanted to know if I should keep looking for an E-6 for a triplet :)
Want to compare 6s? I'm still missing 8. I have: 30 D 30 D 30 D 30 E 30 i 27 N 30 O 27 S 21 S 27 S 18 T 27 T 21 T 30 V 30 V 30 W
I have a 4th D30, an O21, and three P's all starting with the same root (36, 33, 33). Your list is helpful to me too thanks!
(that's 21 out of 24 sixes...)
Are your T6's in order in your list? I'm having trouble finding the T21 after my T27..
oh never mind - was being blind
Yep, they're in order. The word is a bit curvy in the grid, but it's a very common word. :) And it doesn't start with the same T as your 27. :)
I found an E/6/18. It goes before the E30 that I have.
Also a 6/27/P that is the first P in my list.
Found yer E18. I have to take a break for a bit, but before I headed out I wanted to see if I could wrap up a few letters where I was only missing one: ADx1, ARx2, AWx1 EAx1, ESx1, EVx3 ONx1, ORx4, OVx1 PAx7, PLx1 / 4x4, 5x1, 6x3 WAx5 / 4x3, 5x1, 6x1 I'm afraid I don't have much to offer in the way of return at this point, since the Z's and i's are the only letters I have complete so far.
Ok, so the P I'm missing is a PA7.
You are missing an EU.
there is an eu4
having a time finding the fourth d30; does it start with the same 2 letters as the other three?
Nope it doesn't. I hope tomorrow people go to the polls in D6!
You are missing a WA4. Also, I think you made a typo. You are not missing a PA7. There are no P7s. But you are missing a PA6. Steve - Only 3 of the 4 6/D/30 words that I have start with the same two letters. The other is the plural of a D5. But, that D5 is usually used as the past tense of a verb. It can be a noun, and it is for the 6.
Whoops, sorry! it was a PA6 I was missing.
So those 3 D30 all start with the same 2 letters. Should I infer from that clue that they do not start with the same 3 letters? :)
No, it would not be safe to infer that. ;)
got it thks Jlm
How about T words? I have TAx7, TOx4, TRx7, TUx4.
I'm missing a lot of your T words, but I have a TW.
i have and additiona TR and a TW
disregard we have the same number of TRs
Might as well do the others as well. I'm still looking for A, D, O, T and V words. I have all of the others if anyone needs help. Since the A,O and T words were already listed I'll do D and V here: DAx3, DEx7, DOx8, DRx5, DUx3 VEx10 (6x4, 1x5, 2x6, 1x7), VOx3 (4,4,5)
i have an additional DE DO and DU
You're missing a DE.
all the DU are 4 for 5
Bit of a hidden message for tomorrow's election in the US...what to go do...:)
I see another DA.
Collectively we're still missing a six, aren't we?
its gotta be an A
Yes, we are. Steve, do you have all the words for all the other letters?
Hee hee - It is an A. It's a chemical word, a type of sugar, and worth 21 points.
jlm, what's your background? you always get the chemical words...
i have 9xDe and 10xDo
Thanks, parsec. I think that leaves just one D word unaccounted for. Krys10 - I'm an engineer, though I had a couple of chemistry classes. This one I got totally by noodling, though. Should have thought of it. There are frequently chemical words with this ending in these puzzles.
im missing an L
and another DA for 33
Me too. I have LA4x4, LA5.
parsec - I'm confused. Wouldn't that have to be a 6 then? I've got 24 6s and no DA for 33.
Could I have another clue for the V7/40, the solar g-d?
There's a second LA5. It's not a normal word but I think I've seen it in a puzzle before.
Parsec means 33 D-words.
Ive got 5DA, 9DE,10DO,5DR,4DU
The V7 is very similar to an E6-18 and begins with a V4-7.
sorry, i meant there are 5 total DA, adding to the rest of the Ds listed for 33.
Phew! That I think I can manage, LOL. :-D
not a normal word? now thats a turn of a phrase! Does that mean it has numbers or special characters in it or is all consonants or all vowels! LOL
Sorry, just meant it's uncommon. Not heard in normal everyday conversation. :) It's the British spelling of a word that means "Turning the plane of polarized light to the left".
I guess if you're a physicist who studies light it might be a normal, everyday word!
Could I have help with my last S? I have SEx1, SOx3, STx7.
There are 4xSO4.
Got it - I was missing an SO.
Finished with the same score as sprite.
Just found my last V....if people are still missing one like I was - ended up with VEx10 and VOx4
this grid makes me want to sing eei eei o
done!! finally found that d$#$ L word
done same score as sprite
I only have 2 A's. Ar/4 and Aw/5. Help.
a clue on the aw?
anyone have any hints on the i/6/30 or the o/6/30? i'm so stumped on this one
I don't. Wish i did.
the i6 and O6 only differ in the first letter, and they are each a prefix attached to a W4.
Thanks!!!!!
thanks krys10!!
Can't find the U word. Is it a common word?
a japanese plant
