I have noticed huge support for many players on here - most of them just attention seeking whingers, but when I saw a bald statement like ‘my son died by suicide’ go largely ignored I feel I must comment. and just as a FYI.. this isn't the first time that JAXX mentioned losing her son.. many of us sent our condolences on previous discussions when she was chatting about her son and some of her health issues..

And furthermore, I am a lurker and proud of it. The reason I rarely comment is because I don't have anything important to say.
I've been a "lurker" for years and one thing I've noticed is how close so many of these folks are. I too don't have a lot to say, so I've never involved myself, but this is obviously a place where a lot of people have made friends. I've seen a lot of interactions and hardly ever one that was truly problematic unless it was a troll jumping in a place they've never tried to really be involved in. Try getting to know people first. This is a long-standing group of people here who have always been friendly and helpful when I've needed a word or two.
No one deserves that kind of rubbish. My thanks to everyone here who has ever helped me. I wish everyone well.

I don't say much, I'm autistic and this game is important to me, but I've always found the "chog" comforting. So many familiar names even if we've never interacted. I think this is a great place.
I am a relative newcomer here. I've found everyone (who is here to play) to be very welcoming, whether it's advice, sharing ideas, banter, general silliness etc. Making sweeping generalizations based on one snapshot of the chog is inane.
