I found one crawling on my dog's head last weekend. I thought it was dirt and picked it off, then it made a beeline up my hand and I was freaking out.
there is a company around here that will come spray the crap out of a yard, to kill ticks, but I am leery of such a thing - what else are they killing off?
We get ours sprayed monthly for mosquitos. It's so worth it. I don't think it helps with the ticks but that would be awesome.
all those chemicals dont appeal to me

you are also a GOOD deal south of me, so I am sure the skeeter population there is a much bigger problem.
one time they were spraying our deck garden (we have a bunch of planters on the deck) and my husband complained. They claimed it was fine but we told them not to do it again.
yes, the skeeters are horrible here and we have a pool so we want to be able to sit out there.
I try to be zen about it - they have their space, I have mine. Having had two serious bouts with Lyme thus far, I am not eager to go through that again.

Oh this is a BIG acronym place. But since I prefer typing out whole, actual words, I have never bothered to learn what they all mean.
FWIW I had to learn them all at one time too

I'm a retired technical writer. Punctuation, and careful selection and placement of words all matter. Would you rather have a hot cup of coffee, or a cup of hot coffee?
Can someone give me stats for the two Ts in the 5th column. Someone said earlier they are th 4 words but I have those and they are not from that T.
