I only have about 20 mins this morning, am starting at my second volunteer job today
oh my
volunteering is good, but neglect not your babble! lol
ks killed
lol at least you have your priorities right :D
weird grid. 216 words yet nine grey tiles.
yeah, lots of series.
[infomercial for cats] weird noises in the house at night used to scare me. but then i got cats! now, instead of assuming it's a psychopathic murderer, i assume it's just my cats wreaking havoc and destruction!
so much better, lol
series?
like words where you have plural, past tense, person who, person who plural...
yeah, find one, find 7.
Ah.Thought so.
true,Sprite!
clues for last column E and bottom row S, please, for nbt.
et4/5 greek letters
sh6/21 yiddish word
OK, not EPSILON, and the other Greek letter I know is only 4 letters when plural.
hmmm, I should know the Yiddish!
hm maybe I am wrong about the meaning. Singular e rhymes with Shakespeare's McB***
the yiddish word means village, community. Rather rural ones.
and the letter is not greek, but old english
just got the Yiddish. Straight outta Anatevka.
and Yentl too :D
okay my time is up for now, have fun all
:D
Ah,OldEnglish. Got it!
nite,Sprite!

Hi all. May I have stats, please, for the bottom row, fourth column S?
sorry I dont have them yet
there's sh7,32 and sh6,21 that must come from there
and 2 others, no idea
the sh6 is a jewish village
Ah, thanks. One of those 'too many consonants' words
so's the sh7
a jewish village, I mean :)
Thanks!
must be a word I've never encountered
Have you ever seen Fiddler on the Roof?
nope
It takes place in a sh 6 in Russia
never seen it, no idea
resalt should be a word
Hello everyone!
hi car
Hi!
clue for tr7,28 please?
hi all

got down to 25 pretty quickly.. now it seems tougher
still need clues for the sh7 and sh6 (besides Jewish village or something about Fiddler on the Roof)
I just started a few minutes ago and thought I was moving right along but haven't even hit halfway. haven't really slowed down yet though. pretty sure I won't make it to 25 down on my own.

my last open box
there's 2 sh words, a 7 and a 6
someone clued "jewish village" but I've no idea
ah, I think we've had that not too long ago and I don't remember it but I have a good idea how it ends.
the other 2 are st 7 and 8
I got it its a 6
jewish village
the 7 is alt spelling
of the village word?
yes
it wont pl?
no. alphabetically before the 6
yes the 7 comes before the 6
add a vowel before the end
working on it...
I'm betting 40% of today
today's chat will be taken up discussing sh6 and 7
seems likely
no idea
Whenever there are odd words like that, it promotes a lot of discussion. Even if they have been in grids before.
it has been known to happen that's true
So true LOL
I've never heard of these words before
hi une
I know them because I'm Jewish. They are well known from FOTR.
Hey mlf :-)
I cant find the alt spelling
you have the 6?
yes
add a vowel before the last letter
i will look at chat for some more help for that word but i have to go and i will be back.. ty aslindy i will try again when i come back to the grid
st 7/28, pls

STATS FOR ANY OTHER 8S PLS

and this may be a first for me - no trouble with the re's
i can use some clues for those 8s please. ty.
well, they are all past tense of doing something again
oh wow i got the th 8! wow. by myself. wow. anyway dont need clue for that one. ty anyway
oh, my comment was for the re8s
ty got the re too. ty
any stats and clues for the S words bottom row S? ty
darn. just not seeing those s words for bottom row s......
St5 - what a thief does. That's all i've got.
there were some clues earlier. jewish village is one
not from that S....
st5 is not from there
i have that and it is from S in second row. sorry
ty, carla.....got one anyway.... ;o)
one is like a hollywood ingenue spelled differently +pl
Alternate spelling for sh7
there are at least two related to the jewish village...
TY ! got it.
i have both spelling for the jewish village. ty
perfect clue.
okay, I am missing one jewish village then
drop the last vowel for the 6 or add a vowel near the end for a 7....
thx, took me 153 times but I got it. LOL
good!...
really on that th8? I'd like to know when in history that has been used.
dk....i have just learned to try weird pts, pls, etc....
3 left after going through the list!
still have 62 to find but haven't listed yet....
2!
this is riveting, I know!
I still don't know the change in vowel or add to near the end of sh 7
oh yes hokie am holding my breath for you lol
just drop the last vowel in the sh 7....
you need the 7 or the 6?
i have both
one ends in t
they both end in l
yes....one has a vowel before the L and the other doesn't....
isn't their a word you have to add a vowel?
sh7 = sh6 + a vowel. if you have both, then you are good
well if you had the sh 6, you add the vowel....if you have the sh 7, you drop the last vowel....
ok ty
the vowel is added BEFORE the L....
to make the 7?
*finding it very tempting to just spell the two words*... ;o)
yes, to make the 7...
lol
then i do have both
7 and then the 6
yes...
I give up. any clues for tr7 and se7? are these words I should know?
pt of the tr 5 above it
sorry, I have that one, it's the 2nd one I don't

np )))
Thanks Bichon!
se7/36 is difficult to find a definition or etymology for. Seems to be some British word for "of weeds, or grain, growing in crops".
Hiyas, kiddos.
Hi Judi
Fireworks!! Yay!!
Congratulations!!!!
Hi Judi, how is the ankle?
The ankle is still attached. Although, I did pop a suture yesterday. That hurt a whole screamin lot.
How did you hurt your ankle, Judi?
Partially torn achilles, Bichon. Finally got it repaired.
oh dear. Long recovery, sad to say
Yes. So I'm told.
My son had it done year and a half ago. Damaged too badly and put in a whole new tendon. Used the cooter to get around for quite but gradually able to walk on it again. Not playing soccer (adult league anymore) though
scooter
my daughter had surgery to repair her Achilles. Total recovery was 1 year
Did you hear from the surgeon, Judi?
re 6/18, first one, pls
like the value of something used
testing
okay, took a REALLY long time for those to show up here
Fireworks!
Yes, Molly. All good. Just popped a suture. No biggie.
Bust a move. Pop a suture. That's how I roll.
Gotta hobble away now. Time to elevate the foot.
bust a move, Judi!
*Laughing at Judi busting a move on a gimp leg : D
hi all
Hi Peri, how are you feeling?
Pretty good ty Molly
Glad to hear it.
several medical appointments coming in the next few weeks. I am hopeful that all is ok. Have been able to drive for the past 2 weeks which makes such a big difference. not back to gym yet. will have to go to cardiac rehab first
help with ge8 pls
it is a plural
must be a plural of the ge7 which I do not have
the ge 7 is a psychology term. a configuration, pattern, or organized field having specific properties that cannot be derived from the summation of its component parts; a unified whole
got them both ty
Psychological term meaning a "whole" concept...
... I think it was Robin Williams who used to use it in one of his routines ... "The ge7/36 is now"
last
... just noticed ... it could be spelled as ge 4/6 + "a4/4"
done! :D
Okay, everyone on the shrink's couch. ge7 therapy awaits. Discount for Babble players.
And finished!
Congrats zoom!
test
I only have a ge 6/7?
Well if you add an s, you will be rock solid. Singular then plus plural. Easy as can be.
Rock solid, huh? Are you responding to Ru's "test" comment? =) Just poked my head in for a minute...See you all when I have a minute or two!
