hellozzoozz
still working on first run-through
((Ruby)) How are things with you?
I'm hanging on. Pain control is the biggest issue and "they" keep changing my meds
How about you?
Sorry to hear they keep changing your meds. I suppose they are trying to find which one best suits you.
I am up and down. Mostly down but nothing major lol
The weather here has cooled. expected rain on Friday. How is the weather where you are?
I I worry more about Rufie than I do about me. I think he had a breakdown yesterday, wouldn't come down stairs for more than a day, stayed up there crying
<Nothing II could do comforted him
He needs a dog shrink, too much anxiety. Maybe I should give him on of my Xanax.
Oh poor thing. Has he hurt his paws or got arthritis type symptoms maybe and it is painful fo4r him to do the stairs?
Max, the dog in my profile picture, was autistic, and when I put him on Prozac, he did much better
It's hard to tell, but he is ageing (like all of us -- not you, of courses LOL
Well I know nothing about medicines for dogs so can offer no advice on what human medicines can do for dogs.
Oh trust me, Ruby I am not feeling young at all. I am stressed to the hilt but you do what you have to do lol
Some meds can help them while others can be lethal. I got the idea for Prozac from Temple Grandin, who is, herself, autistic
I tke Sertralie which, I think, is like Zoloft.
Sertraline*
Does Raffie not comfort him at all?
She got very upset when he cried; she's such a sweet dog
Bless. I hate to see animals not as happy as they are normally.
tmesis
very sorry everyone
sorry? I'm delighted!!
I suppose a vet is out of the question?
Their vet is on holiday in Japan
How inconsiderate of them. Hope they are back soon. Although I would of thought they had someone covering for them.
They do, but it's too hard with a stranger. He is more of a fusspot than his ma (me)
Haha! I get it.
Well my time is up for now I had better get round to parents and tend to their needs. ((Ruby)) Nice to see you as always. Take care and hugs to your babies.
Bye zzoozz, try to cheer up -- at least it's no longer hot
ar6 and da6, please?
ar6 is a plural. da 6 rhymes with the popular rescue dog on film and tv.
Okay, back to the kitchen cupboards. Enjoy the grid.
I want to see empress...
Thanks Haz

do any of the clues make sense now?
Well, look at that! I finished another one this week...Off to clean my much neglected house...
my last word is se5,12 any hints?
never mind found it :)
Californians know that word : D
has anyone used the x?
ix 5 and 6
Maybe someone here now would give me a clue for the ix 5 and/or 6. I asked someone earlier who had it but was ignored. Sorry to be negative but you would think people who ask for so much help would be willing to help others. End of rant.
ix + what you do to a shoelace (or what some men wear around their necks)
And plural
Sorry, scratch that
It looks like that with my smallish screen.
it's ix + consonant and then the last two of the neckwear
NOOOO!! Then the last letter of the neckwear.
I should have kept quiet ;)
LOL, I appreciate the help :)
It's a fibre, apparently
How are you, sukee?
I will try and figure it out
ix + what the neckwear word would be if there were a similarly shaped consonant in the middle instead of the i
I got it :)
TY
Good. Whew! Sorry about that
I'm okay, not enjoying this sticky weather but better than snow.
It made me laugh :)
I'm tired, that's my excuse. I'm sitting up in bed just vaguely browsing and babbling until my eyes won't stay open any more
Well, it's what almost 11?
No, nearly 10
I did that last night with a game until my eyes started closing
But I get up at 6.30, and Jeff (my OH) is away as his mum died Sunday night so I'm just killing time
I go to bed early too, 9 usually because I get up early. Last night I was watching TV until 11.
Sorry to hear about the death.
Thanks. It wasn't totally unexpected, but it's tough nevertheless for him
It always is.
I know - both my parents have died so I've been there - I really feel for him
Is there more than one ps works as far as you know?
words that is
I don't even have one - how many letters?
Never mind - got it
I haven't listed so I can't say for sure
I guess maybe I should list, have 26 left
I can now say with certainty there is only one (like Highlander)
TY
There's a ph, a pi, and that ps
Found the pi
Found the pi
Can you tell me anything about the O, except for the oi4 which I have (the really obvious, lubricating one)?
The other one is OH 4/6
I only have 2
Ah hah! That one resisted me ;)
LOL
Found the PH...it is a relief.
Matty, sorry to hear about Jeff's mother.
phantom phlox
huh. it's tempera not tempra. I think i knew that at some point -- that the spelling didn't match how it's said.
morning all - for the other Os try oh4.5 which looks like a US state, and ox4.10 which ends in the middle of what a clock tells
Sukee, I really don't think anyone was meaning to ignore you earlier. If you look back at the chat, clues were offered after you may have left the chat.
oh, fishy! Thanks, lyn
You are probably right, I guess the heat has me a bit sensitive.
The bread that's baking smells like it'll be done soon. :)
we had 3h of severe thunderstorms here. The sun is finally out again, which is nice. Oh, the bread is done. BBS
Ty Lynxxx
Thanks lynxx for the clue, and Molly for the condolences
She'd been ill a while and was suffering from dementia as well - but it's still hard for him
DC, I would love a thunderstorm, we have one forecast almost every day that never comes.
We get lots of them here.
I remember watching storms roll in off of Lake Erie visiting family in Cleveland, OH.
what bread have you made DC?
A 2/3 whole wheat sandwich bread. The other third is 00 flour.
with milk and butter instead of water and oil.
interesting - what does the milk and butter do to it?
Today's storms here came from the South, which is unusual. Usually the come from the W or SW, off of the mountains.
milk and butter make a softer crust, and a fluffier, even crumb, if denser than Japanese Milk Bread, which i'll make again soon.
FW
not heard of japanese milk bread, will look it up. I did some bread making a few years ago but always battled with kneading and proving but starting to get interested again
i see a proper name in the grid: Weems. The Parson Mason Locke Weems, of Dumfries, Virginia, wrote the first biography of George Washington and invented the cherry tree myth.
yay sukee!
congrats Sukee
I used this recipe, with success: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/10\n16275-japanese-milk-bread
Anyone need a clue?
double the dry ingredients if you want to use all the tangzhuang.
i'm good for now, thanks, sukee. I have 11 to go.
oops, bad bath. 64 to go, almost halfway LOLLOL
math, not bath.
:)
oh, that link, remove the /n
Well, I am off, good luck all
be well :)
You too.
thanks DC, had a quick read and on file now
oh, a short fi4 i worked on: The Tell-Tale Plant , won best picture, best acting, best sound, and best use of prop in the Baltimore 48 Hour Film Project competition. It'll play at Filmapalooza in Rotterdam in March.
it makes a light, fluffy, slightly sweet loaf that is great for sandwiches, toasts nicely, and is the bread used to make panko.
FW
Would you guys like a clue for anything?
not for me thanks Tess, happy picking up words here and there
Ok just let me know if you need anything
yay hoyamd and tessagram
Hi
birds finally have begun to sing again. Air pressure stabilized finally.

Have fun
bye DC
:)
bye all
Bye
I'm lost. I looked up the recipe minus the \n and got a web site that asks for membership for you to read it. Then I looked up tangzhuang and it is some kind of jacket.
Good evening, all.
