SORRY FOR CAPS BUTT I'M BED-BOUND WITH EXTREME PAIN & CAN'T SEE VERY WELL
ruby, another word for the metal container
2nd phantom: weinie
hang in there Ruby!
THANK YOU, GOT IT
ei5/12, jbp
bless you ruby. can you please move over a little, and may i have some of the sheet please?
jbp, take a look at an alternate spelling
...for your phantom
ruby, i'll share my cannabis drops with you... well when i get them....loll
THIS BED IS SO BIG, IT COULD HOLD FOUR PEOPLE
Rose, I so hope that works for you! Some people have great results!
that's good. i'm just about the size of two people... lolll
hey, ruby, that's a thought. the new cannabis drops do not contain THC, just the pain relieving part. could your docs have access to them for your pain?
ct 7 if not called
hi kam. thank-you for giving me the space and ti4 i needed. bless you.
Love you, Rose! Glad you said hi! *Hugs*
Thank you for that dizgrannie - would never have guessed it!
FWs! Goodnight all - Have a great day if it's your morning, or a good night if it's night where you are!
Michele arrived, the pain meds kicked in so I'm down to 10, and she helped me downstairs and gave me brekfast.
It was really scary; I thought I'd have to call an ambulance
A friend got me the drops, but they Don't wok on my severe pain. Everybody thought i was a great idea!
Hi ruby, sorry to hear you are in so much pain
morning all! hint for the 9 pls
Sorry, just started.
think of Emma Watson's role in Harry Potter
be before it, then pl
Or a TV show in the 60's starring Elizabeth Montgomery, but make it a plural
TY. Sorry, Bich. I was way off on your clue :) Was trying to fit Hermione into it :)
ah, many thanks!
yvw
I loved Agnes Moorehead's character, Endora, on that show. She was great.
Me too. It is on every morning here at 10:30 :)
bewitch
oops
My new words of the day are ch6 and ch7. Never seen that word spelled that way.
Hiyas, global neighbors.
Greetings and felicitations! I've not found your weird ch6 and 7, yet Molly (nudge nudge)
I think I just found them.
May I have a nudge, please ;)
guevara walks is the ch7, shorten for the ch6
They are alternate spellings for bugs that burrow under your skin
ugh, I picked the wrong time to pop in
Thanks guys!
chiggers!
i finally found out what chiggers were when i went to Oklahoma
could be a racial slur for people from Chicago
I saw a pic in one of my sewing FB groups this lady took of her kids in a field of Queen Anne's Lace. I was like "they're standing in chigger weed!"
Never experienced chiggers (and hope I never do). However, we had a massive flea infestation at a house we rented when we were first married. Dirt floor cellar - two bombs and we were clear.
I'm stuck with 40 to go
we have a dr friend here who grew up in the north and he thought his patients were making up chiggers, he didn't realize it was a real thing until he went somewhere and got some.
they are nasty little things.. very itchy bites
what a coincidence ru, I only have 40 found
but I got sidetracked doing something else, I'm not stuck yet
and why do I try dino every single time it's in the grid
your favorite dinausur?
They have no-see-ums around here. Awful bugs.
we call those lurkers :D
we had horrible no see ums in Naples, FL, when we camped there
I have a fly on my computer screen right now
my kids were covered in bites
Ha, ru
no see ums?
They're like chiggers, fan
LOL, mlfan. I had one land on the lamp right next to me just a few min ago. I think we just have one fly right now.
nah, chiggers get under your skin and you have to like paint finger nail polish on them to kill them
we probably have a few ight be the same one I saw when I first went in the kitchen this AM
Oh, yikes. that sounds worse, hokie
crocus?
ty for the be 7/9
hokie, I just learned of a better way to treaat chiggers.. WD40 ! It really works.
chigger bites are worse but if you stay out of the weeds you should be okay, but no see ums just attack without you really being able to do anything. so they're both horrible creatures
interesting, Aloy. I think WD40 has many uses!
fly almost flew into my head went back on computer screen
2nd column e?
Yes, I was sharing the nail polish suggestion with someone and he told me a better way.. WD40
I also need third column I?
type of molecule
mael for the I?
ah.. found the be 9
thanks mlf
yes, mlf :)
morning, babblers
yw ruru I looked at earlier chat to see if I could find at least what it started with
interesting...per wiki, home remedies to suffocate them such as nail polish do not work because they don't actually burrow under the skin.
morning, welki
to suffocate them do you have to put tiny little pillows over their heads?
only if you're a serial killer
does anyone have the 2nd column e?
nope
what insect are you trying to kill?
chiggers, known by other names elsewhere than the south
ei5/12 MLF - uses the bottom row i
thanks, dan
ty dan2

was there a clue somewhere for the be7/9? I just remember someone saying they found them.
often heard with bothered and bewildered, hokie
well, a form of it anyway
ohh, frankie :)
yes !
thanks!
yw (-:
okay, I'm guessing the ct7 is a word I will never get on my own
means "comblike".. I looked it up and I'm sure I will be using it soon, lol
haha
has a robot ending
c + number + robot ending. Had to look it up.
I just googled it and the word it showed me isn't even in the grid
got it, thanks, Aloy
ciao for now.. Happy Babbling!
adios
It is a zoology word derived from a Greek word that starts kt
got it
I found it as soon as Aloy told me the ending. IDK how, but it just jumped out.
Yep
I wish they all jumped out at me. I've had to skip quite a few in the list that I'm just not seeing.
same here hokie
first cr6 anybody?
that's one of the ones I had to skip
dan is it a 6/24 you are looking for?
yes MLF, I have the cr6/21 that ends with the metal
cr + double vowel + ** please be quiet
it ends in **ipwreck
double vowel
thx
ty bichon, weird one
agreed
that's firewords for me
yvw dan
well done
congrats dan
well, it is a theme day today and the theme is bugs. at least 3 words + variations
could be worse I suppose
I have mentioned before how I think it's odd when words related in meaning, but unrelated in letters are in the same grid.
hokie clever aren't they?
well, I'm not sure who "they" are since these are randomly generated
you know you're a long-time babbler when you can say...
phantom: crwth
lol
good morning all :)
good morning Nan
morning, nan
phantom senior
just found a be 7-9 -- bothers me that I couldn't spot it when it was called last night :D
*can hear Frank now
hi all
morning, mkg
hi mkg
would love any stats and clues for 8s or the 9. ty.
just gave one, mkg
scrolling down.
10:15

bothered, bewildered
think samantha and her little daughter tabitha
10:15 - 10:16

married to darren
and immediately that theme song started playing in my head
yup. ty.
so now need an 8 or two and nbt or nbs.
not me -- frank sinatra singing running through my head
speaking of old shows, Benson is in the grid :)
there were some te8 clues earlier - paper you write in college + how long it takes to do it
(paraphrased)
what about that lone fourth row E?
looking. ty. dont see thesis in grid......am i missing an S?
oops got it, ei5/12
a **** paper
i have two of those words hurshy: you can et** glass by cutting into it with a design.
ok ty. got it
Tx, Carla, for te8
just flew right through the D words!
got te 8. ty
great hurshy
hi al. is there a te8 or th8?
i just found sn8
may I have a clue please hurshy?
Te8.....compound word
one who sn6
I am trying combos without success
i ain't no sn6 is the root, and then you put a person who ending (even though people use sn6 as the person also)
ty hurshy
Tattletale!
sn get stitches
hurshey i am not seeing the sn word.
i saw you sn4 billy harville last week une! lol
just got the sn word. ty
I only know that from Harry Potter. :D
I have the first part of the te8 but not the last
ty for both of them. ty.
they were always sn4ing
i was trying to do snee...etc.
Me too Peri...need a clue!:)
Last part is what a watch measure
measures
ty got it. was using the wrong te4
sn4 is a Brit word. I never heard it before Harry Potter either.
so, I have a 5 that I know the first 3 and the point values of the other 2 and still can't find. how annoying is that.
I also learned "trainers" for tennis shoes/sneakers from HP.
finally got the right letters for that 5!
can I have a clue for the ce6? P&TY
nm, peri'd it
but I don't have it
think of a minor award and remove ificat
lol
I see that I am now a verb :)
minor awardS i mean
it's the ultimate compliment
There's the star-bellied "sneetches" (Dr. Seuss)
How can there be 15 C words?!!
ty hurshy
I do not like C words
idk gadget, i have 9 so far
I have 9 too
even with the list I had trouble with the c's. still have 1.
bbl
nm, c's are complete
12 here including a couple that I thought were french words
can anyone help with 2nd mi7? P&TY
70 to go and listing - have been stuck for a while
little yellow cartoon characters?
I haven't listed so I don't know what the second is, I only have one mi7 (a plural)
Is the second mi7 attached to West, York etc?
yeah, like the movie character?
I have one that is a plural and popular cartoon movie
Yep, that's the one I have
ah - the cathedrals - ty
You're welcome.
are you saying west, york are cathedrals and the word relates to that?
Yes, West mi 7 Abbey
got it
Good.
not seeing the ch 6-7 nor the ct 7
CT7?! ack
thx, came up with it before you spelled it out but it makes more sense after you spelled it out LOL. never thought of that as a separate word.
ct7 was easy once I was told it ends in robot ending
ch6 and ch7 - add what Freud spoke of frequently.
ty -- tried that without the final vowel!
amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wr6 like me
Rookie mistake.
figure the ct must be a welsh word - but no idea here
the c is silent in case that wasn't obvious
it is from zoology
that leaves me out
having comblike or rough-edged scales
ct plus Miss Blyton with an extra vowel inserted.
was stuck in re8, it is same ending as ct7
ty haz
on
ty carla
wonder why do 5 is accepted, but go 5 is not?
the mysteries of enable
2 6's left, the worst
Enable picks and chooses. What foreign words you can enter, what Biblical words you can enter. That is why this game is so annoying at times.
yeah, like the egyptian unit of measure yesterday
Are Egyptians not allowed to measure?
they certainly are, just not sure why it would be in an english dictionary.
Well, let's say you're reading a book about Egypt and the word turns up. What is this? you wonder. You look up the dictionary and it tells you.
Or you read a book about Botswana and pula keeps appearing. What is this? Why it's the currency.
I see your point, but like Molly said, enable picks and chooses what foreign words to include
I just don't get het up about it. It's a game, no point in wondering why a word is included or not because your indignation isn't going to change anything.
fireworks! LOLing at my last word I was stuck on.
wi6
Well done on your fireworks.
I'm not really indignant about it, I think you can reread my posts below and see that. just commenting on the mysteries of enable.
the graceful one?
Okay, indignation may be going too far although some players get into a bit of a lather over words included or not included. I'm just happy to get words.
haz can yo reclue the one you said something about Freud pls?
then there are those of us who like to feign indignation just for fun
back after breakfast
hokie?
can anyone recleu the ch 6/7?
ch + my kid isn't home-schooled, he **** to a school building to be educated
i mean, ch + vowel + that
sorry hurshy I don't get that clue
ch + second of Freud's three + vowel, then plural
ty got it
go 5/20, pls
bichon, away + unlikely high tile.
can't get the las tile
It is a variant of a Yiddish word for theif
no 2 pt tiles.

re + *** can + i don't like you, so I av*** meeting you
re + *** (=can) + i don't like you, so I av*** meeting you
ty Cosmo!
nan, I wasn't even alive in the 50s and tw7s were big in the 2000s I think
I always thought tw7s was a British term
If you go to web sites and search that term, you get sheets
well, when I saw it I immediately thought of matching sweater and top, and then I clicked the question mark and that's exactly what dictionary.com said it was.
I had one from Banana Republic just a few years ago and I remember them being advertised as that word.
T
The definition also says "British a matching jumper and cardigan". I guess it all depends on where you shop.
when I type it in my search bar, that comes up most and only one mention of sheets, and the words are separate. guess it depends on your search engine.
there is a gap in your thinking :D
Okay Carla, you win.
ru :D
not trying to win a competition, just saying I, here in the southern US, am familiar with the word in its original meaning being used in the last 10 years or so. not sure what I've ever said to you, and it's hard to get tone in here but I always think you are being passive aggressive to me, so I guess you win.
well whatever the definition is i don't have the word
Two identical kids + game ___ match
ah.. thank you.. i couldn't see it
re 6/18, second one, pls
*My* second one is to use needle and thread again, but I don't guarantee I haven't missed a few.
ty but that wouldn't be a 6/18
Wait, ugh, so sorry! That's a 5/18. My second 6/18 is re + ends of a fork, but change the first vowel.
ty Sam
Any time :)
thank you for yesterday's comments samantha
:)
st 7/36, pls
St7 before you work out, to avoid injury
ty Sam
Can someone give me a nudge for the 2nd column "e"?
Ei + most of a measurement of medicine say.
Ei + Most of the word for a measurement of medicine.
The stat is Ei 5/12
Thanks zooz

there is a gigantic encampment near the office of a place i work at
The authorities haven't done anything yet. They rousted the people from the one right across the street about 2 months ago. They had put garbage bins and porta-potties on the property but the folks weren't using them. Really icky.
Right across the street from the current one - not my house :D
