sorry, stepped away. my heel is mostly painful to touch, not as much with activity. they gave me a little pad to put in the heel of my shoe and said that would help. I only wear it in my soccer shoe now because it is uncomfortable in the arch.

hokie, are you able to swim? that is my savior.......i swim daily and it helps me with all the issues i have.
i tore a meniscus in my knee playing tennis.. it was painful

I tried swimming laps in our pool once and ended up seasick. It's really not big enough for laps. :D

i swim everyday but i don't have a large pool..
hokie, consider taking lessons and doing water exercise. it is refreshing and no stress on any body parts. even just treading water or doing water walking is good.

Bea we had to put down our choc lab awhile ago. The vet asked if we would like to be in the room when they gave him the needle. Do NOT do it. It will stay in your head forever. Let them take your dog in the back and do what they have to. If you witness it, it never leaves your mind. Terrible image. Sorry for your loss.

Agree 100% I was in the room when one of ours was put down. I picked him up and he was lifeless
I had to put my dog down a long time ago. I was in the room and held him, so he was not at all frightened. I would do it again if I had to. He had been injured badly, in an accident and it was the only kind thing to do. I grieved for a long time, but I take solace in that I was with him and he knew I loved him.
I think it's easier for your pet if you're there with them to show your love for them.
I would want to be in the room of any pets if they are going to die or be put down

I couldn't do it. I had taken my dog to the vet that same morning and lost it, so my husband went when they did it.
had lunch today with Jeff Gordon. well, technically he was just in the same Chipotle as me at the same time. :D
i've stayed with all my dogs that i've put down.. it's the hardest thing I've ever had to do
we did have to put a choc. lab down once for aggression and neither of us went in for that. he probably would've tried to bite us if we went to console him.
