Bookwoman: are you waterlogged, being on the périphéries of the two storms?
When we lived in Miami, we spent large chunks of time sailing around the various islands, fishing, trawling for conch or just sailing around.
My husband's sailing buddy wouldhold onto a line and, whenever he was a conch, would dive down and bring it up. I'd make conch slad for lunch. Often, we's stop at an island nd I'd go ashore for the needed ingrédients.
Lovely memories of my husband and our beautiful ketch, Narwhal, which his buddy had built for him
We moved here more than 20 years ago and the things I miss most are sailing, the ocean, and decnt seafood. Annecy is too far inland to find decent fresh fish

I have the world's most annoying maid for the 3 mornings I had no one. Besides being stupid, she "flutters" around me and I can't stand it. The others who work for me know that what I need least is drama and noise.
dimer
sorry
thank you ruby for all the words
good morning all! phantom: leotard
morning all!
I need the single E word first column for nbt, does anyone have stats or a clue please?
el5/12, lil*m
TY, jac.
TY jacula
Anyone here?
just us chickens and a few loose ends... Hi, scrabbs
Hello chickens and others.
hello
I have slowed down with 183 to go. I need to focus.
Hi MLFAN
boj don't talk about yourself like that lol
lol
hi scrab
I am waking up here.
same here scrab had a little bit of coffee so far
Except I need to stop typing wr- words.
I am not a morning person. My brain wakes up at 10-11.
i keep typing the same word i just typed a few seconds ago
<--is not a morning person either
My id5/12 work hours would be 11-4.
'morning folks
I have friends that accomplish so much before 6am. I hate those people.
i did 11a to 3 pm a few times when i worked for a hotel
Hi welki. How are you healing up? Running 5K's yet?
scrab i hate those people too
i think i'm about as healed as i'm going to get - have to keep stretching the ankle or it stiffens up and there is still some occasional pain, but much, much better than it was (nearly) a year ago
Yes, and I barely have brain function when they have finished their to-do list.
Yay, welki.
those people piss me off
still can't wear regular shoes, the backs press against the scar and boyhowdy, that hurts
Somehow I was a morning person in the days of med school and residency though. Getting to the hospital at 6am. I was young though.
Ouch, welki. Most of my abdominal scars are numb but one is super sensitive.
scrab i wqas at work early too in my 20s 30s i was brain ddead through most of it
there's a brand of running shoe, hoka, that doesn't press - expensive, but worth it to be able to walk like a human being
I was young, ambitious, and focused, so I did what I had to do. And I didn't have any other life. I studied and worked.
I hiked with a guy in Shenandoah NP in April that wears Hokas. He loves the.
*them
i am learning to not be such a morning person - not easy
first column el word clue pls?
Our brains are different. We have to adapt.
el5/12
el5/12 sounds like 2 consecutive letters plus a vowel
I saw the stat below from Jacula, el5/12, but I cannot figure out the word.
i wash my husband would stay in bed he out of nowhere started "training" himself to get up early regardless of what time he goes to bed
scrab i cant figure it out either
TY, Dan. New word for me.
or if you wake up in britain after a long night out you might say "where the el5?"
we get up early, even on weekends - 5 weekdays, 6 weekends - we try to sleep in, just doesn't seem to work
temp
Free clue!
is it a double vowel still not getting it?
ty scrab
no - it uses the center tile if that helps
me7/36--I suspected it was there so I tried it. To act as a go-between.
scrab i found that word too
thanks Scrabs, I was missing that word
ty dan
it also makes a re9
Being right with guess is fun.
thanks dan
third column e above the m?
TY, Dan. We need to add re- to a lot of words.
ty for the re9
di 7/36 please?
ep4, mlf
I need that E too--3rd column, 2nd row
di + metric measure
almost time to trade hiking shoes for snowshoes, scrab. we took the boat out of the water yesterday, docks are being removed next week
You had snow recently, didn't you? I saw a photo somewhere.
em6/24 and em7/40
usually starts with an i
Oh, long words. I will look, phaeton.
yep, snow was seen about an hour away - typical for this time of year
thanks Bea :-)
phae is that for me..those stats?
and em4/4
you remove the docks?
Our first frost is typically the first week of October and first snow in the first week of November. I need to find a new guy to snowplow my driveway. A RELIABLE guy.
em6 and im6 both mean to pierce
no, the community does. my husband helps removing the boat lifts, though
had a random golf ball smash a big window last week - nice surprise
was George Bush golfing nearby?
em 5/6 ont from that e
Whoa, welki
nope - i think he would have left a note. this jackass just took his golf ball and scrammed.
50 left for the football games...
congrats bzz
I passed halfway finally.
'course, it's a big triangular window at the peak of the house
i am watching football today too for sure redskins cowboys
bummer
em 4/4 that doesn't make sense?
it happens. members have glass insurance covered in their memberships, so it probably was a visitor. still, if they'd contacted us, i would have been able to arrange an estimate this weekend. now, it has to wait until (at least) next week
Expensive one, welki.
oh yeah
last column a?
for nbt
an 4/4
mine shaft
ty and hello luv
No, ad4 is from middle A
Nope, you are right, phaeton
I know...;-)
that is incredibly rude welki
does the te10 go with either te 7/36's?
ad5/12 spanish goodbye
lone E stats...on the left

el5/12 left column e
100% correct, ru. and this, just a couple of weeks after i had repairs done to my car - some knucklehead whacked something into the driver's door - went right through the metal
<-- sometimes just hates people.
ty dan
someone whacked my nice car with a dent and didn't leave a note either
Terrible, welki. I so dislike people with no sense of accountability or responsibility.
were their cameras in the area ruru?
(and that was just before the car wash door came crashing down on my hood - it's been a summer)
My car was hit in the street a few years ago--no note.
Oh, no. What bad luck. No luck.
i didn't think of that mlf

:-)
going to the jersey shore today with my niece and her husband. they should be here soon
on your tippy toes
mlf put in a bunch of vowels then end with a cons
the only ballet term
I know is plie and it is not in the grid
pl 6/24 starts off like when you politely ask for something then mix up another word for help
i was about to ask about vowels lol
or when you beg for mercy you pl*** your case, add a vowel in the middle of that word
ty got the pl6 which has nothing to with ballet.
that would be plea you cant add a vowel?
there's a cons at the end of that word MLF
