Too bad... I keep seeing BACTERIA

12:51 am

Hello sprite! I have H7/44, I7/36, R7/44, R7/40, and T7/32 so far. What does your 8 start with?

12:51 am

Wish you hadn't said that...

12:53 am

Hi fnurt! I have H7/44. The other 7s and the 8 start with R.

12:57 am

Thanks fnurt, found the i and the T as well. Probably a large grid, the words are coming so easily. :-D

12:57 am

H7/48

1:03 am

I have an R7/44 starting with REH, but not the other R7/44. Does it start the same way?

1:05 am

Only the first 2 letters. Think of bandage.

1:10 am

1:10 am

Krys10, you are great! Thanks for the stats.

1:11 am

I have a word that makes me think of bandage but it is only worth 40 points. Still looking...

1:13 am

You're welcome! I'm off to bed :)

1:16 am

That is the one. I don't have a 2nd R7/44, the other R7 is worth 40.

1:17 am

My mistake! I found an F7/40 as well.

1:20 am

If this grid had even just one S, it would be over 400. ;-D

1:34 am

Only one 7 to go, right?

1:39 am

Why isn't retapped a word!!

1:45 am

Beats me, Atalante! I don't try to understand the enable dictionary anymore, it's way beyond my comprehension! ;-))

1:52 am

R7/48

1:53 am

The 7s go FHHiRRRT

2:25 am

Little Red Ridinghood

2:29 am

200 words / 4.87 / 2955 No words I had not seen before - must be the first time. :-D

3:58 am

why can I never find A words LOL

7:49 am

r8/75. Could you go over that again? :)

8:15 am

Do all three R/7s start with the same two letters? I'm still looking for the R/7/48.... I'm missing it and one other smaller R word <sigh> Any clues?

9:04 am

Yep, all three R7s start with the same 2 letters. But, the R/7/48 doesn't start with the same sound as the others. It's not an RE word, despite starting with RE. It might be used to describe Ronald McDonald, Anne of Green Gables, or Pippi Longstocking. :-D

9:06 am

ok thanks! I'll go back and have another look.(I've been doing Ps since I gave up on Rs)

9:15 am

is there more than 1 eight

9:38 am

Can anyone help with A words? I'm stuck missing 3 of them. I have: AC4x3, AC5x3 AD5 AE6 AP4 AR5 AT4

9:43 am

there's an AD4

9:43 am

We're missing a couple A's, but do have an AD4. Treble, look at 1:10 am for the full stats.

10:12 am

Thanks. I also found a second AR5, so just one missing A word now.

11:01 am

any clues on the R8/75?

11:04 am

fit1's 7:49 post was a clue. ;)

11:21 am

got all the 7s except the I, T, anf F...any clues on those?

11:26 am

Think of iron (the element, for the F), a lightbulb going off over your head (i) and a sewing machine (t).

11:37 am

hrmmm....sewing machine....i know nothing about those...lol

11:41 am

Could also think of a potter's wheel. Can anyone help me find my last 2 missing P words? I have: PA4x3, PA5x5, PA6 PE4, PE5, PE6x3

12:10 pm

hrm..still not getting the sewing machine/potters wheel reference...thinking its something to do with the foot pedal? as for the Ps, i dont think i have anything more than you do, except i only have Pa5x3 right now.

12:11 pm

One is a PA4.

12:16 pm

pa 4x4 pa 5 x 6 pa 6 x 1 pe 4 x 1 pe 5 x 1 pe 6 x 3

12:19 pm

Yep, the foot pedal. Thanks for the P counts. :)

12:20 pm

evandine, yes it has to do with the foot pedal. I think only old fashioned sewing machines have them.

12:27 pm

it won't take redcape.

12:35 pm

testing, finally figured out your clue to get the last RE7. Thanks.

12:35 pm

I have one ge4. Does the other G word start the same way?

12:36 pm

I guess both G words start with GE but I cannot get the 2nd one.

12:37 pm

The Gs are 4 and 6 letters.

12:38 pm

They do not share their 3rd letters.

12:38 pm

testing, would you give me a hint for the G6.

12:38 pm

periwinkle--the second G word is also a GE, but longer--it's something many of us don't know about each other.

12:40 pm

parsec, great clue and absolutely true. Thanks.

12:42 pm

missing one B. got B4x2 and B5

12:45 pm

I have 7 C words. All start with CA. I have ca4x4, ca5 and ca6x2. What am I missing?

12:46 pm

evandine, there are two ba4 and one ba6.

12:46 pm

and of course the ba5.

12:47 pm

i have Ca5x2

12:47 pm

Periwinkle, Thanks! I now can find the last C I'm working on. Here's the list, then: ca4x4 ca5x3 ca6x2 ce4

12:48 pm

Thanks, got all of the C words.

12:49 pm

also a Ce4

12:51 pm

I only have 4 E words. 3 ea and 1 er. What am I missing.

12:52 pm

i have En5 and En6

12:57 pm

Edx2, Ei

1:02 pm

I just found an er6. I remembered it from another game. It means an error in printing or writing.

1:03 pm

Er5

1:04 pm

Still missing 5 E words.

1:05 pm

Evandine, do you mean there's a second er5?

1:06 pm

i only have one, sorry to confuse!

1:07 pm

any hints on the Ba6?

1:09 pm

think of a villian

1:09 pm

for the Ba6, think of people who wear black hats.

1:11 pm

Ba6: a good-for-nothing, a villain Ea4, Ea5 x2 Ed4 x2, Ed5 Ei4 EL5, EL6 En5, En6 Ep5 Er5, Er6 Et5

1:16 pm

Thanks, Sprite!! :-)

1:19 pm

You're most welcome! ;-) Just dropped by to see if I could return some of all the help you are always giving me.

2:17 pm

Okay, I thought I'd try to get the F's done all by myself. But I have two left and feel like I've tried everything. Can anyone help?? fa4x4 fa5x3 fa6x2 fe4x4 fe6x3 fe7 fr4x3 fr5x2

2:23 pm

I was trying to get the F's myself, too--I do have Fa4x5, but we are still missing one.

2:24 pm

of the two you are missing one is a fa4 and the other is one I'm missing too :)

2:26 pm

maybe there are really only 23 f's ;-)

2:30 pm

How about the letter D? Da4x5 Da5x3 Da6x1 De4x5 De5x1 De6x2 Di4x3 Di6x1 Dr4x2 Dr5x2

2:34 pm

Da6x3, Dr6

2:50 pm

How about H? I'm short two: Ha4x7 Ha5x3 He4x4 He5x5 He6x3 He7x2

2:57 pm

I have he4x5

2:58 pm

He4x5

2:58 pm

Also, unless you made a typo, you are short 3...

3:10 pm

May I have a clue for the H/7?

3:11 pm

Nevermind, I just found the H/7.

3:12 pm

Well, I found one of the H/7's anyway.

3:37 pm

There's also an HA6.

3:37 pm

Which one did you find? I only have one of the two: the past tense of a body part (for lack of imagintion for a better description ;-)

3:56 pm

I'm stuck on the T's now. I only have 23 and am probably missing some obvious ones, but here's what I've got. ta4x3 ta5x3 ta6x2 te4x3 te5 te6 ti4x2 ti6 tr4x3 tr5x3 tr7

4:06 pm

The other H7 is a measure of land

4:07 pm

You need another Ta4, Ti4, Ti5x2, Ti6, and one more I don't have.

4:08 pm

brain stuck and all I can think of is definitions for those almost words in the grid. Like "harreed -- too busy with minor things to worry about spelling" and "endeer -- to get into a deer's good graces"

4:24 pm

The last T is a TR5 - there are four altogether.

4:53 pm

Still hunting for the last A, F, and H. Grr...

4:58 pm

The last D is eluding me as well

5:24 pm

fnurt! the last F is an FR6.

5:28 pm

Excellent! The last H is the 6th He4.

5:32 pm

yay! now i'm just missing a D and an A, a 5 and a 6.

5:58 pm

The last A is an AF6. Hurrah! Good night!
