we have one in CLT now and if I still worked downtown I would take it. a lot of people complain that it takes longer with all the stops, but I love to just sit and listen to audiobooks or podcasts and relax.

I was test driving a car yesterday on a large road with a speed limit of 50. I was doing 60 and said, oh, I'm speeding, and slowed down a little. Then I noticed people were flying by at like 70.
I have driven in the bay area. I couldn't get over that motorcycles drive between the two lanes of traffic. that is insane.
Once had a boss who said, as I was driving us to a staff retreat, going 65 in a 55 zone, "Speed it up a little, will ya?" I pointed out I was 10 over the limit. Her reply: "The speed limit is just a suggestion."
I see that shit every day. Commuting to work is the worst part of my week. And I don't have a long or difficult one.

I don't know about California, but around here, they will give a driver's license to anyone.

Molly you are so right... I befriended an Iraqi refugee couple. She wanted to get her license so I gave her some driving lessons. She was godawful. Next I hear she got her license!!
here in california they give my mother a driver's license.. she couldn't drive in her thirties much less her 90's

I am still wondering why people can bring an interpreter to take the written test. Um...don't you need to be able to read English to read traffic signs?

my dad hit a pedestrian before he quit driving. but they just kinda bumped into him and then walked away.
