I am very good at inline skating but have only done ice skating a couple of times in my life.
I can't really skate backwards anymore with ANY sort of grace nor ease, and I don't fully understand why. Perhaps center of gravity shifts with age?

yeah, there are moose up in the mountains, tho I haven't seen any in person as of yet

although we also occasionally get bears, mountain lions and coyotes in our town

one of the trails I hike, about 30 minutes drive away, gets moose tho
reminds me of when don and i went to the High Country, Dargo, for a holiday. they walk the cattle down the main street there to get from one pasture to the next.

lol... yeah. gotta watch it when out on the trails. we took my niece for a walk in a native forest near us, telling her to be quiet so as to not frighten the lyrebirds. blow me down if the flipping birds didn't just walk right up to us.

I've done some trails in the Florida everglades and the traisl were blocked by alligators
they were looking for a feed. we try to tell the tourists not to feed but we are ignored.
people love to feed animals, hard to overcome the urge

they're pretty docile, managed to move one of their with a stick
but there were several of them, so wasn't really worth the risk
