The C is like a grid all by itself. I don't remember ever seeing that many words from one tile before.
hello all im up at this time cause for me its 11:00 am
hello granadan
WHoa, another big grid.
Indeed!! 180 down.....
137 for me and slowing down.
Good Morning, friends.
Hi Bea
Hey Bea!
Bea is here. *Puts out the coffee, tea and pastries
I've got some lovely fresh fruit to go with those pastries.
*Adds a platter of bacon
ty peach
Finished the C's. *Takes a victory lap*
Good for you, Molly!
No fish today Bea, but your plants are here.
I'm trying to get my screen resolution correct...I sswear, gremlins come in at night.
Yes, I got the plants.
last column corner a stats pls?
More likely it's cats, if they are allowed to walk around on the furniture.
oh never mind I see it
nbt
I would think the same thing, Molly, but my laptop was closed last night.
Gremlins then
Or fornits, for those of you who read Stephen King
i have gremlins in my cupboard - they sew my clothes smaller each night :)
Molly finished the C's.....wow!!!!
Sirs
i have 24 c words at the moment
Aahh.....found the boat brakes :-)
what are the stats for that word une?

That whole exchange is kind of funny, when you read back
Hee hee
oh i have that word
Phantom: stadium

I'm dehyrating oranges today. My house smells so good.
How do you do that Bea?
I have a food dehydrator
Ooohhh I can imagine, Bea!
What do you do with the dehydrated oranges?
I'm using them in potpourri and wreaths.
can you eat them too, Bea?
hi all
If you rehydrated them, you could eat them.
I just read up on uses for dehydrated oranges. You can put them in tea, sangria or mulled wine. Some people make sauces for things like pancakes with them.
Orange, cinnamon and cloves is a great smell at Christmas time.
Mmm! Sangria...
hello! I'm here with coffee. ready to find the last 28 c's and the rest.
I just took cinnamon rolls out of the oven...
Mmm, cinnamon rolls. The ac8 is stupid.
we almost have some chorizo here
yum bzz my husband and I ate a cinnamon roll last night from the grocery store
Sorry they aren't gluten free.
I'm used to it
I thought the same thing about ac8, Molly.
luckily cinnamon rolls aren't my favorite. I mean, I could eat them but I can also easily pass.
clue for the ac8 if I can find it without looking at the grid
My daughter has been making GF donuts in the airfryer.
I would never pass on a cinnamon roll
ac8 is one who is sort of an ac5/12
interesting. is she using a mix or from scratch? I would like an air fryer but need to get rid of some other things in the kitchen.
i have an 5/6 porbably not the right word
Yes, I believe she uses almond flour.
well, it's not the ac that falls out of a tree for squirrels
or the boat one
the boat one is not 5/12
oh ac right oops i hadn't typed in the squirrel one yet
Carla, do you have an instant pot?
yes, I use it quite a bit
sort of an ac 5/12 can i get a clue for that ac 5/12 pls/
Someone in a play
i got it!
ty bzz
well that's dumb, thanks
hokie you mean the ac8?
yes, what they were talking about
very strange word
I use my instant pot a lot as well. I put of getting one for the longest time. After I got mine, they came out with the instant pot and airfryer combo. I was mad...
I get the no7 with that ending, but the ac8 is ridic
of course! maybe I should get that. my IP has a broken foot and lists if I don't put a little stack of notepads under it.
no idea on that no word you are talking about but that's ok
no4 is a genre of books, movies, etc. kinda mystery related.
oh yes that wrod
the four that is
I have no idea where 21 more c's are.
i have the no 7 now ty
de nada
Some of the c words are obscure
21? i only have 28 of them
oh never would have guessed that lol
I played overnight. have only found 7 this morning.
I had a feeling about c's and obscure. how many are scottish?
I have all the C's and it was a slog getting them
I don't know about Scottish. One is French.
I need to work on the a's. bea's about to announce she has all those. ;) I only have 12/27.
turns out I didn't have the ac5/6 the ac8 was based on. could've sworn I had that.
yep i have 12 a words
Time to eat pizza! Will be back
and why isn't am5/16 a word? like I'm all am5 up about this
modern slang is not Enable's forte....
good point
it is a word...at least in the dictionary
I think I might have tried it at least 10 times now. :D but I did not type in mosh!
the dictiornary is more modern than Enable....not surprisingly....
of course, i can't spell today....may be part of my problem....
yeah, molly & I found a thing about enable one day. it was a word list made in the early 2000s by some smug people who thought it was the best thing ever.
well......it does help every once in awhile.
CArla, just so you know, I'm struggling with the As.
I just need 3 on the right one, but I only have 3 of the other one.
why do I keep trying meds too?
ruin

there are 3 in the middle, including a du4, I can't find. surely I could monkey a 4!
of course you can hokie they are really easy to find.NOT
mlfan, did you get the em? man's name, think smith from the cowboys (though his was spelled differently)
also the lead character in the lego movies :)
ty hokie though it is an i not an e but that clue was perfect

yes
boats have them ML
yes, the end of that word is the same as the end of the is7
got them ty
fyi the mo6/7 combo that took me a little while is the same ending as the du6/7 someone clued for me earlier.
I've got a Village People earworm...
tx hoke

I'm kind of a wimp so it's a little spicy for me
we have sunshine now, bea! how about where you are?
any sun in CO, moo?
Yes, it is sunny here today. And I bit warmer, I think. Good day for our walk.
yeah, beautiful sunny day today
heading up to Breckenridge around lunch time

well, 44 left and probably should get a move on
have a wonderful day all
if ruru were here he'd start an ice cold pun thread
you too!
Snake head in the grid.
ice jokes are hard to do from the cube at work
you just have to freeze out all other thoughts and distractions
exactly.. i knew you'd catch my drift
that's the measure of a good pun
I'm down to 50...Probably should get out of my jammies...
was just going to say the same! 14 left after going through the list. almost noon. should get out of my jammies. gotta go to goodwill today. decided against it yesterday in the pouring rain.
TTFN!
good thing we're not all skying each other right now :D
Yes, I look like the Ferocious Beast from old Noggin TV show...
hi all. I have 44 of the C words but do not have the ch8. help pls. gray, dreary and raining here
ch8 is plural of the 7 - Starts like household task and ends with small particle

phantom horizon
cyber I found 34 of them
35
I will be back...
is 7 please?
is7 is + vowel + last part of the thing you put in the sea so your boat doesn't move. plus plural
ty mary
ty
ri 5/12 please?
it looks japanese
Put an r in front of the finned swimmer and add a vowel
It does look Japanese Hursh
But it's Hindu
ty hurshy and molly - a new one
i'm pretty sure we've had it before
if you cut the last letter off the thing that keeps your boat from floating away, i thought that that was a kind of chili pepper
but it does not seem to count
i feel like that happens a lot with culinary words
i got the two is words clued below, are there more that start that way from the other i tile?
aha, no, there are not! woooot!
can I get re clue for that ri5 pls?
Clued at 12:42
name that olympic city :)
Sochi
Oh, you want a re-clue. You don't know what a finned swimmer is?
that would have been a good word
Dr. Suess called them one and two and red and blue
alas, like so many lives, this grid falls just short of having romance
got it
Hurshy, I have come to the conclusion that when it comes to great romances, the line was very short and only a few were granted them.
struggling with the first so 6 -- clue please?
cyber I only have a pl
the guy who sells the things you put on your feet before you put on your shoes?
oops no that's sn soryr
ty hurshy
Good clue Hursh
that one we have had before, I think
ty :)
isn't a tomcad a human tomcat?
lol
hello friends! Speaking of tomcads....we have a coywolf in the area! Had never heard of one before, and we are all on edge now
keep the pets inside!
yes, absolutely! it's a hard hit for the local state park, where it was sighted - people using it will drop off sharply now, unfortunately
name that proper noun! site of terrible battles in the World Wars
somme
ding ding ding
I saw a play about it once - damn near broke my heart
history tends to do that
moca
oops sorry
au 7 please?
nm - monkeys got it
do tell. that's one of my last 7.
au + french stone
sort of like a buffalo -- extinct now I think
sadly I don't know french but was able to figure it out with the points and what we might call a stone. thanks
i am really slowing down now.....would like to at least hit half way, but oof - slog
this is a tough one today.
its the endless trap of babble - little grids make you think you can burn right through them, big grids make you think "oh boy, this will be fun!" and the day disappears....
yep
ch 7/40 please?
which is nothing compared to the endless trap of cats who sit on you so you don't want to get up and disturb them
i say I dont like cats, because I am totally, utterly allergic to them - but secretly i love them
looking, cyber....
my opie is having a Naughty Day
that's one of my last 5, nan
feels like I have tried everything but apparently have not
found it....most of god's son, last two of the soothing salts
ty trif
you are welcome! I STINK at cluing, so all apologies....
now i found 2 other words that start with those 3, wonder if there are more...
cots
oops sorry
well, I feel like I understood the clue but not working for me
one more I think
which part?
and that is the direction I was going so hopefully I'll get it
drop the last letter from God's son, carla
I'm not using it
must have a different soothing salt in mind
eps--
got it. was thinking of the printer instead of the salts!
lol
and FTR, I use those in baths all the time, was just having a mental blank on the last letter.
you need to take a bath then! lololol
my last 4 are ts6 x 2 and as6/7
my bathtub is currently filled with sewing supplies.....
:O
I just had one the other day
ch 6/27 - change last vowel in the shiny metal
as6, dorothy's friend squeaked for his oil___ but instead make it what's left after something burns, not oil
well, I'll be. thanks
ooh, found ts6/18
*!*~*!* thanks for the help :)
can't find that one to save me, hokie....can only find the ts5
found the other. fireworks!
huzzah for hokie!!!!!
5 carla
ok, let me see, trif
^5
there is a so4/4 that if you add the t and then make it plural, you will have ts 6/18
there are two ts 6's middle vowel different
yes, that accounts for the point differential
the ts 6/21 is if you add a t to tom cruise/katie holmes daughter's name and make it plural
do you know any french trif?
both of them are close to the voice on iPhone but with a different vowel
got them! thank you!
t + french mouse and drop one of the first 2 vowels
im going to take a break when i hit 180....have major sewing to do, totally avoiding it
what are you making?
a copy of mina murray's green dress from Coppolas' version of Dracula (pause for googling).....
costume party?
I am in the middle of making some dinner scarves (or adult bibs) for my dad, who has parkinsons. I hope he is not offended. I don't think he will be.
I struggle MIGHTILY with making patterns from scratch, so this is a real challenge. It's SUCH a gorgeous dress, omg....I hope to do it even some justice!
that is so kind, hokie!
no, cybernan - the school where i am the costumer is doing a production of Dracula
on my way - hagd everyone
I am giving them to him for his birthday in a couple of weeks. he really doesn't need anything since he just sits around all day and reads. hard to think of something. I had seen these things and then my mom suggested I make some, so I am.
you too, nan!
heres a tiny url, for those who wish to peek....
https://tinyurl.com/t2hr5ka
that is really a lovely, lovely thing, hokie.
wow, impressive. ambitious? good luck. hope to see the finished product.
actually, just looking at these pics again makes me realize I have to redo the back of the jacket.....sigh
i hit 180, so off I go....kisses all
bye! I guess I'll get busy now too.
chiro
oops sorry!
don't even know why my cursor was there

I'm out on that one...Never been a Yankees fan...
neither have i
he was just famous
Are you feeling better, hurshy?
i hate baseball esp the yankees
yes, thank you bea, my cold is almost gone now
I love college softball. Mom and I watch every season.
Of course my mom watches every sport ever played...including cornhole tournaments..."eye roll"
if you can preempt why cant you empt?
Cornhole tournaments...I just can't go there : D
I'm confused Hideki Irabu played for the Yankees, but irabu is not in the grid.
Oh, Matsui
Right, Molly?! "Weel there is nothing else on tv..."
Over 200 channels and there is nothing else on tv...
ding ding ding!
phantom: horizon
I see it...
You know, if I spoke Babble, no one would understand except other Babblers...
lol
well that's how it always is. nobody understands English except other English speakers either, lol
phantom: saturn. which would, not doubt, not be accepted.
true, but if we're lucky we could get saturnine
also torsion
a sadly underutilized -ion today
and mochi: there, but not accepted
there are three ion words so far
i was just saying how i think food words are the biggest area where things don't count
like if you remove last letter from what holds your boat in place, that is a kind of chili pepper
mocha
that one just doesn't have the A next to the H
it would count if it were here
definintely mexican bias
including the word itself, I have 7 ION words so far
defininitely european in nature
I have 17 words left...oy vey! If I get firework today, I will have accomplished three things...The other two are I got dressed and I got in my 30 minute walk...
cannot have food. the ants in the frid would foul it
grid
hmmmm, marksdolly, i only seem to have "the word itself", that means i have a bunch to find i guess
there i found one pair!
Whew! I thought you were saying you had ants in your fridge, TO. That would not be a good thing...
then there is another pair!
hi all I do not have any ion words
it would not.
You probably do, peri. ION is the ending.
ok so that's 5 of mark's 7
just checked I have a few
a pair starting with Ch
a pair that starts with Du
I have them ty
Does that include words that end with io4/4?
yes
and a pair that starts with Mo
aHA i had just found the du and mo pairs, now got the CH
:)
ty marksdolly
and those help with the 7 letter word counts as well
I have the ch pair
yw!
yes, down to 5 more of those
let's talk 8s
I think I have them all, unless there are some that start with S or T.
they were easy to find but have no idea what they are. monkeying at it's finest.
I still have 86 left so there could be more, but that's what I have at this point
It is a good monkey day.
i have is8, st8, ch8
help with the ch8 pls
well that's the one we just talked about peri
you just said you had the ch pair
there is an ac8/50
You need AC8 and CO8
you are right hursh
co8 is the one I need help with pls
Ac 8 is really rather stupid...
thank you, got AC! will look for CO
I totally agree Bea!
that's the only 8 I don't have
hurshy, did you ever watch Johnny CArson?
yes
Ed McMahon
ahhh
thanks
I don't see it and I watched Johnny Carson too
ed was a co6, so he co8 with johnny

mk
I GOT A WORD!
YEA!
wtg hursh
there are two pigs in the grid. and how to cook them
We are having pig for dinner tonight. We love pig.
ah yes. yes we do.
i am having mystery meat. forgot to mark the froeezer packet. it's a cutlet of some sort.
I'm serving baked swwet potatoes and a summer squash gallete with ours.
the galette sounds interesting. what's in it?
i always think of them with fruit
I just put pesto on the pie crust and then slice yellow and zucchini squash on top. You can add thinly sliced onion if youlike.
that sounds yummy
I do apple and peach gallettes a lot, but we really like them savory as well.
cheese in pesto?
i love sweet poatoes. i did not like them as a child.
I usually use Classico. It does have cheese but it doesn't have nuts. My mom can not have nuts.
I think you can get it dairy free at Trader Joes.
funny, i like yellow squash but not green. too bland.
or somethig i cannot put my finger on.
Mom and Mr. Bea love baked sweet ptoatoes. Mr. Bea has have his with brown sugar and cinnamon.
They are both bland. It depends on the seasoning you use.
We eat a lot of squash. Soft and hard.
i think when some steak chains started serving them with cinnamon sugar, lots of folks discovered them
i only like summer and delicata squash
I would rather have mashed or fried sweet potaotes.
I love delicata.
Not very common down here. I'm trying to change that. =)
i like them baked whole, or for easter, lightly candies. use mostly orange juice, do not like sticky syrupy kind
short season for them but they do keep well
We like ac5/12 and butternut squash.
Pickled spiralized butternut squash is awesome!
Delicata can be grown in greenhouses in NC almost all winter long.
I have found the 1 type of pig, but not the other, any clues?
Is it a plural, dolly?
not the one that I have
Not found either but found how to cook it. Yum.
me too LOL a big hit here summer and fall :)
sh5/12 and sh 6/21 are young pigs.
Thks BzznBea
yw.
I have 8 left... Just pull my molars...It would be simpler...
to 6/27?
Thanks. Got 3 pigs now
ty Bea, had the sing but not the pl
to6/27 is a pt
Double the last cons of to3 to get the pt...
Another one of those words today...
Another one of those words today...
Should I say that again? LOL!
ty BzznBea!
*Pours Bea another drink
Bless your heart, Molly!
Watching KU play Tennessee...
Always gets me in a tizzy...
Bea, what part of NC do you live in?
my in laws live in Wilmington
I am north of Raleigh almost in VA. We are about 20 minutes fsouth of the Va border.
I've never been to Wilmington. We always go to the beach on the Crystal Caost.
I love Carolina, we used to fly into Raleigh when we would go there
Coast.
we took a sand dune tour up thru the sand dunes that took us way up to the Va line
I am a Kansas girl born and raised. But after 12 years in NC, myself a native. =)
Go ahead Molly...Give me another drink... LOL!
we live in southern Iowa, 1 of our sons and his family lived in Wichita for 13 yrs
I bet you don't miss tornado season
I lived in Butler County all my life. Right next to Wichita. Had to shop there to get any thing of substance.
You know, tornado season is overrated. It si like people think there is a tornado waiting to rip threw every Kansas town at 5:00pm.
LOL
they lived in Wichita and Park City
My mom lived in the same county of KS for almost 80 years. Now she lives here with us. She said she would rather deal with tornados then hurricanes. Hurricanes take too long.
Wow! that's a long time
but I'm with here, I would hate to deal w/the hurricanes and all the wind and water that comes with
My oldest daughter lives in Park City. Youngest lives in Maixe.
Maize
Yes, and I wish she could still be there, but...
Happier and healthier than ever, my mom is...
One word left...It's halftime...
when I watch my in laws putting anything valuable in a shipping container to keep it safe, it's not worth it, you can't enjoy it... and the flooding would bring me to my knees in tears
Yes, I know. We lived on the "high" side of our KS community. Lots of flooding two-three times a year. Finally they rerouted the large Walnut and every one is happy.
that would be so disheartening
Part of m home town was wipe out by a tornado in 1958. I think I would rather have everything disappear in a tornado than to dela with what is left from a flood.
I swear! Since I installed Windows 10, my computer will NOT do what I want...
What a silly word the AC 8h50 is.
8/50
LOL! We have all been saying that today, zooz...
