R7/32 Playing at work... :) They gave me internet access...
an 8 for 45
an 8 for 60
r/8/40
Don't know if I'll have time to play today, but this one looks fun! Lots of satisfying suffixes. BabbleStats 8 - 4 7 - 11 6 - 23 5 - 61 4 - 82 --------- total: 181 -------- A - 11 C - 11 E - 3 G - 2 H - 15 i - 6 M - 11 N - 8 O - 9 R - 35 S - 33 T - 37 Off to the grocery store....
Looks great indeed! Thanks Krys10.
R7/28 delicious!
T7/32 a well known babbler
H8/60
There's an O7/28. I must go to bed!
R8/45
I keep seeing tortoise ...
oh I wish you could spell hesitant with an ent <sigh>
Can anyone help me with the 2As I am missing, I have A4x4, A5x3, A6x1, A7x1. thanks
You're missing an A6, and I'm still missing 1 myself. I don't think the C/7/56 has been mentioned yet. I loved finding that one! (and no, that's not a clue) The A7 that Treble99 mentioned is worth 32 points.
there are three A6 words
C7/56
I loved to find the i6/33 (also not a clue) :)
Ooh - that one took some searching, but definitely a good one! :-D
Hi testing! :) You are looking good today...
:-D LOL
C8/65: a chemical word, a polymer found in the cellwand of some fungi.
Found a 2nd 7/R/32.
H7/60
Make that 2 H7/60s
LOL - It sure helps to find these words if you do the math right! I mistakenly thought that 7-letter word points were multiplied by 3, so thoought they had to add up to 20 which seemed so impossible!
LOL
I have a A6/18 could I have a clue for the other 2As please
They're all worth 18 points and share the same second letter. :) The two you are most likely missing vary only by their last letter. The first means "characterized by melody".
Thanks for the clues.
O7/28
Sorry, I see (too late) that Krys10 mentioned that O7 already.
im trying to get my brain in gear...its just not coming easily today
A rundown of the big words mentioned so far (still missing 2 7s if anyone can fill in), then maybe on to comparing some letters: 8-65 C - a chemical word, a polymer found in the cellwand of some fungi. (also used in wastewater treatment) 8-60 H - robbing 8-45 R - activity of chickens 8-40 R - a plant having the most solid hold on the earth? 7-32 A - waking up 7-56 C - nightgown 7-60 H - The spore-bearing layer of the fruiting body of certain fungi, containing asci or basidia. 7-60 H - one who writes spiritual songs 7-28 O - to get one's bearings 7-32 R - bringing up 7-28 R - an Italian food 7-32 R - no def. but similar to the R/8/45 7-32 T - trying something out :-D
OK, I'm going to start with the M, N and O words I have so far if anyone can help. ME4, ME5, ME6 Mi4x4, Mi5x2 NA5 NE4x2, NE5 Ni4x2 OO5 OR5, OR6, OR7 OS4, OS5 OT4
T7/48 edible Eurasian freshwater fish (plural)
And S7/40: stupefied from or as if from drink. Should have found that one earlier. ;)
2x Me5, 5x Mi4
Ni5, Ni6
Ot5, Ot6
You've filled in all the blanks so far! Now I just have to find them. Thanks. :)
:-) You helped me as well, your listing filled in some of MY blanks!
I thought I had already entered that OT6!!!!
I just realised I missed the plural of the first Ra4. Why do I always forget to enter those plurals??
Same with that OT5 I was missing. I think the brain moves faster than the fingers, and by the time you are ready to put in the plural, you've seen another word. :-D
:-) That must be it!
So, then. How about some Es and is: EM4 EN5 iN4, iN5, iN6 iT4, iT5
I have 35 T's, 2 missing. Te4 x3, Te5 x2, Te6, Te7 x2 Ti4 x6, Ti5 x2 To4 x9, To5 x6, To6 x3 Ts4 Anyone who could help with the last 2? Must be a T5 and a T6.
Eo5 in4 x2
nm, found them. I was missing a Te5/6 combo. Done at 181 words / 4.86 / 2393 points.
"mitosin" is not accepted, eh
cant find the S7/40 about drink
sounds like someone from the British Isles -- wonder what is the connection? :)
It is an So7 and it takes an ending that you use to say something is something-like. Do I make any sense? Looks weird, this clue...
LOL @ metags
Rs and Ss are killing me now, with 3 of each missing. Otherwise I'm so close . . . RA4x3, RA5x3, RA6x2, RA7 Ri4x2, Ri5, Ri6, Ri7 RO4x6, RO5x7, RO6x2, RO7, RO8x2 SA4x2, SA5 SE4x2, SE5x2 SH4x3, SH5x3, SH6 Si4x4, Si5 SM4, SM5 SN4 SO4x4, SO7 ST5x2
A question for those of you who routinely finish the puzzle: how do you find the "words" that babble accepts that don't have definitions?
Typicall by trial and error and using the clues posted in the chat log. I find many, many words that I don't know what they mean, just because they seem like they could be words and I know I haven't found them all yet. :)
can anyone help me with missing Hs please, I have H4x6, H5x3, H7x2, H8x1.
You are missing an H5 and an H6, plus one that I am also missing. My H5s are HEx2 and HYx2 and the H6 I have is HY.
H4, H5, H6
testing - I count you with 29 S words which means you are missing 4. Sa5 Se4 are two of them, the other 2 I am missing as well.
I actually had SE4x3, so a typo there. I'll look for the SA5 and that does still leave 2.
@ dicktrickle: mostly by trying all possible combinations that might be words, however farreached they seem. Or, shortly, by not being afraid to try stupid things. ;)
Ro5x8
Se4 x4, Se5 x3
Ri4 x3, Ro6 x3
Finished. Also with 181/2393. :)
i have In4x2 In5x1, In6x1 any help with the other 2.
curious if any word uses the "Z"?
Treble99 - iT4, iT5 No, the z is not used at all.
Always frustrating, such a letter that isn't used. Good work, testing! Always nice, playing with you. :)
The C8 is hard to find. Is a polymer one of those things that always ends in -ose or -ase? I was no good at science.
No, that is not the ending of the C8.
You probably have the Ch4/9 that is the first part.
There are two CH4 / 9s though. You'll want the one that ends in the letter closer to the end of the alphabet.
noodle noodle noodle... thanks :)
on the C8: first part of the word sounds like a popular snack, the second part like a Japanese honorific
popular cheese flavored snack in the U.S., that is -- not sure about elsewhere
The C/8 reminded me of a lyric in a Weezer song called El Scorcho, where they mention the name of an opera singer. It sounds quite similar to the name. Doubt that'll be helpful... all the clues seem totally obvious once you've found the word, but are fairly baffling before. ;)
it's also a nutritional/diet supplement
may I have clues for the g words please..
Nevermind, just found the g words. they have been in other puzzles.
hi i'm Jim Carey and i was so bored i came on this site
I only have one E word, an eo5/. what am i missing?
is anyone else playing?
I'm here, periwinkle... I just don't have any clues for you; I've only got 90 words.
thanks, thought I was all by myself.
