T7/40

1:18 am

Wonder what the stats are today (103 so far for me)... but have to catch some Zzzs. Night!

1:19 am

Yeah, 104 here. Could be a lot more! Sleep well, metags.

1:22 am

Another L7/28

178 for today... I'm sure someone will be along with the full stats.

1:54 am

M8/50 Thanks, runningforhome, good to know!

c/7/36

1:55 am

O7/36 2x, alt. spelling of a word that appears often in these grids

1:56 am

E7/36

1:58 am

i6/18 - i7/28 combo, also a regular here

2:00 am

A healthy R7/28

2:02 am

:-) It is only a T6, but fun finding. Oldfashioned toys.

2:04 am

Fascinating N7/28: an alloy of nickel and titanium that has the ability to return to a predetermined shape when heated. Wish I had that ability.

2:14 am

And a 3rd L7/28

2:20 am

Another M8/50, combo with 7/36. Hunter's cap(s)

9:20 am

thanks stranger ;)

9:34 am

Parsec, you can have any of my kingdoms, just pick one! Thanks.

9:36 am

Missing on L, one O, one S and one Y. Really can't think of new words with those starting letters!

9:47 am

For Ys I have: 6/33, 4/7 and 4/10

9:51 am

For Os: Oc5, Oc6, 2x O7 OL4, Om4 x2, On4, On5 Oo4, Oo6, Or4 x2, Ow5

9:55 am

Ls: La4, Le4, Le5 x3, Le7 Li4 x4, Li5 x4, Li6 x2, Li7 Lo4 x5, Lo5 x2, Lo6 x2, Lo7

9:56 am

And Ss: Sc4, 5, 6 So4 x3 Could anyone please help me with the missing ones, one of each letter?

9:58 am

If I counted right, 2 are 4s and 2 are 6s.

10:04 am

SO6/30 :)

10:10 am

So6?? Omg, I am probably blind for the obvious! ;) Thanks, Atalante!

10:13 am

its not remotely obvious - I got it from noodling - and the only definition I can find will simply give you the word straight away

10:14 am

LOL Just tried Sotemn... then you know you are really desperate!

10:16 am

change one of those letters and twiddle them around ;)

10:16 am

Right... noodling did it. Very strange word indeed. Now 3 more to go...

10:17 am

For the others noodling around: it is a compound word.

10:20 am

*giggles* the last Y is a YL4

10:21 am

YL4 A form of matter hypothesized by proponents of the big bang theory to have existed before the formation of the chemical elements

10:32 am

what is noodling?

10:44 am

OY4/16

11:25 am

Thanks Atalante! 178 words / 4.88 / 2453 The last L was a Lo6. Also a completely new word for me: stirred noodles. A chinese dish. At least I didn't miss obvious words this time... LOL @jennyb: noodling is trying lettercombinations until you stumble upon the right one. Especially useful when you know how many letters a word must have.

12:19 pm

allrighty, so are there any clues on the 7s? ive got the N, the M7/8 combo and on of the Ls

12:20 pm

Anyone help with a clue for the M8 I Have M8/50 but cant find the other one.

12:27 pm

LOL is also an M8/50

12:34 pm

sprite: your last Lo6 goes with the Wo6/27 for a tasty meal. Though I speak the language from which this dish name was derived, I would never have gotten it without the clue :)

12:37 pm

:-) Great, metags! Let's have a wonderful dinner!

12:38 pm

its the hunters cap i cant find

12:45 pm

Partly derived from 'mountain', that M8.

12:48 pm

its all the others i need clues for...hehe...

12:52 pm

C7: crown E7: part, constituent and many other defs, weather force and many other defs i7: recite in singsong i7: hymn

12:58 pm

hrmmm...i dunno that the clue for the E is gonna help me much, but ill work on it! thanks sprite!

12:59 pm

L7: related to big cat 2x L7 comparatives M7: refer to M7: hunting cap (sounds spanish) 2x O7 our good old Greek beverage T7: more twisted I believe the rest has been hinted to already.

1:01 pm

evanadine: the E7 is a quite normal word. Think of what constitutes the weather. Or how you would ask someone which part of babble he likes best.

1:05 pm

what constitutes the weather? hrmmm...temperature, humidity... i can just tell if/when i get this, im gonna kick myself!

1:05 pm

Ai... "E7: part, constituent and many other defs, weather force and many other defs" Now I see what you mean. Looks awefully stupid. Sorry! (now where is that edit-button!)

1:06 pm

evanadine: you need to think even more basic. :)

1:06 pm

...my dear Watson.

1:09 pm

ha! why couldnt you just say that to start with?! holmes, i know! ;)

1:09 pm

and yes, im kicking myself!

1:11 pm

LOL I need more practice in giving clues, that's for sure!

1:12 pm

its hard to give really great clues when you already know the answer...otherwise its really more of an inside joke, isnt it?

1:16 pm

True. And more practice with the language wouldn't hurt either. I'll keep on practicing... ;)

1:17 pm

hey, i think you usually give quite good clues...sometimes i feel severely un-intellectual next to you!

1:20 pm

got one of the O7s...cant figure out how to change the spelling and make it work to get the 2nd O7

1:44 pm

OMG!!!! I was totally reading sprite's 9:51 clue wrong. I thought it said that the O7s were OC words and I could not for the life of me find anything that would work. But the "Greek beverage" clue tipped me that I was looking in totally the wrong place since I know that word! :-D

1:45 pm

And evanadine - It's early in the word that you'd change to get the second one.

1:58 pm

thanks for the tip testing, i got it right away after that. :)

2:11 pm

@testing lol I made the very same mistake thinking they were OC7's, I spent 30 minutes wracking my brain trying to find them.

2:16 pm

heh, yeah, i think sprites having a bit of an off day today...but we wont tell! TGIF!

2:18 pm

No, in this case the blame can't be given entirely to sprite. They were on the same line as the OC words, so it looked like they'd be OC words if the reader (me!) wasn't thinking. But in fact, sprite did not actually put the C in there. :) Glad I'm not the only one who misread though . ;)

2:20 pm

hehe, yeah, i misread it myself. maybe WE are all having an off day!

2:31 pm

It's easier to blame Sprite then to blame ourselves though! :)

2:34 pm

LOL testing - I did the same thing!

Babble doesn't like Canadians... it'll accept 'quid', 'lira', and 'moolah' but never 'loonie' or 'toonie'! :(

2:40 pm

any clues for the LO7 I am missing. thanks

lo/7/28 - more crazy

3:14 pm

I'm having a hard time with Rs today if anyone can help. I've got: RE4, RE5, RE7 RO4x3

3:16 pm

there's a re6

Another re4.

And an ro5.

3:25 pm

How did I miss that RE4?????? They're both so common, but uggh! I was missing the one that also rhymes with TE4 in tihs puzzle. :)

3:26 pm

Missing 2 M's, could use some help. Me4 x3, Me5 x3, Me6 x2, Me7 Mo4 x5, Mo5 x2, Mo7

3:28 pm

You're missing both the 8s. One of them is related to the 7. The other is a warning of something imminent.

3:30 pm

duh, I didnt even look through to see what the 8s were today, ugh thanks.

3:37 pm

How about Ts? I have: TE4, TE5 Ti4x3, Ti6x3 TO4x4, TO5x3, TO6 TR4, TR5 TW4, TW5, TW6, TW7

3:38 pm

*roflol* At 01:17 pm evanadine said...: "sometimes i feel severely un-intellectual next to you!" followed at 02.16 pm by: "heh, yeah, i think sprites having a bit of an off day today" Good! Everything back in perspective now! And sorry, everyone, for the confusion. :D

3:40 pm

To4 x5 To6 x2 (new line for every entry, right?) ;)

3:44 pm

No, just for new second letters. ;) LOL!

3:45 pm

LOL

3:48 pm

After missing both M8s, I feel like I have no room left to comment :)

3:50 pm

Ns? NE4, NE5 Ni4x2, Ni5, Ni7 NO4x3, NO5

3:57 pm

No4 x4, No5 x2

Out of curiosity, how old is everyone here? (I know, impolite question, but I can't see you so it doesn't really matter. :p ) I'll be 20 this Sunday.

Oh sure, but everyone's all over the location question... or maybe I'm just the only nerd at home on a Friday night playing Babble and watching cartoons. :p

9:52 pm

I'm 57, and grandmother of fixitfmly's four little girls! She and they are in IL, but I'm out here in the wilds of ID. Now you know why I Babble!

9:54 pm

BTW runningforhome, Happy Birthday!

Thank you! And I'm in Nebraska at the moment, so I know how you feel. ;)

10:13 pm

Happy birthday RFH! I'm 30, with one dog and a cat (and a husband) but no non-furry babies for now.
