ar6/21 clue please
ar6 to get excited
tyvm bubba
Is it too early to ask for a clue for the ar9?
There isn't an ar9, the 9 is ro9.
you mean ar7/8 combo??
The one who excites the otheris the ar7
That would help!!
ro9 where birds of a feather flock together
Thanks - for the ar 7/8 - now for the ro9!!
Alleyn, ro9 builds off the ro4,8
Bless you - Has - always need to crack the long ones to cheer me up!!
Good for you, makes you feel accomplished, doesn't it?
Indeed - therapy during lockdown!
Are you still shielding?
slees
Sorry - but not a word!
Being very careful - hubby nearly 80 and I have bad asthma - however by tomorrow will have seen all 7 grandkids.
Lovely, that will have helped.
hello
Hello, TO.
how are you?
I'm well, getting used to not being in complete lockdown - I had my hair done this week but it is weird to be wearing a mask while getting it done.
Our daughter flew over from London for a few days so it was lovely to have her, first since Christmas although we've had regular family zoom sessions.
we only just came out two weeks ago but not fully. i have eschewed the salon for now but i am rethinking that.
not seeing loved ones is very hard.
My hairdresser has a tiny salon, room for maximum of two but doing one at a time, masks on etc.
It is difficult, only saw my sister for the first time in three months the weekend daughter was over.
same here. but they are anxious to get back to workk and it makes me nervous. the city has never fully reopened, they have a spike. may be related to protests.
and travel to seaside resorts is also causing a surge. the young people thing.
Yes, they think they're invincible.
politics as well. they are snxious for their time, and boomers are in the way.
had that at work.if layoffs were threatedned, they kept saying they were just starting families and why didn't we just leave?
It's a pretty entitled attitude to take, look out for yourself and worry about nobody else.
i don't know bout your part of the word for sure, but it's certainly true here.
it's like the 60s all over again, but with more violence.
There seems to be a lot of pent-up anger, certainly.
I'm using understatement font.
oh yes. even bofore all of this. you saw it constantly on the web, because it was not in person. imo we have become so desensitized, that we are embolened to do it to people's faces now.
:)
It's very sad to watch the divisions being intensified, the whole 'what about' attitude is ultimately not helpful to anyone. Less talk, more listening to each other would be preferable to digging further into entrenched positions.
the anger thing is hard to sort out. i do agree. i won't post or comment on prolitical stuff and sometimes what one thinks is notpolitical is taken by others as such and the fight begins...
it's intersting that this is a worldwide phenomenon. i try to rememner back to the sixties to sort out- how soon we forget! a firend who is a gret sutdnt of world history points out that about every 50 years there is a socilaist revolution.
pardon my sloppy typing.
Violence is never a good thing. I do think that countries sometimes come to the point where a rethink is needed, much better to do it by civilised debate than by slugging it out on the streets.
do you see the divisions in your country as well?
this is what Marx was diagnosing in his time. the rich keep taking until the rest of us force them to give some back
there are people who think that that is too slow or outdated. i do remember. but i also remember opting out when the talk got around to molotov cocktails.
haz lovely to see you. i must get out for daily walk, already very hot and humid. and too late to sacre the deer. i like seeing them run the streets in the early AM
TO, Europe leans much more socialist than the States, even our conservatives are to the left of Democrats. I'm heading to the kitchen - good to see you.
yesterday there was a young groudnhog running towards the edge gym in the afternoon. since they have automatic doors, i think it must have been very interesting for the members...
wildlife abounds in the time of stay at home! be safe.
May I please get a clue for the ho6/33? Thanks1

Or prostitute
Or Rugby
I I have that one, it is the other one I need.
More corny
Thanks! It was making me crazy!
Carla gets the Babble Tiara today.

you're farther along than I am
ro9...place where you keep chess pieces? : D
ro9 is pl for a big nesting area for our feathered friends
lol Molly
got it, thx
ty Aloy
ro4 used to be my favorite card game
whoa, that brings back memories
nobody here knows how to play
I have forgotten.. used to play a lot of canasta too..
I do find spades a little easier than ro4 because you use all the cards instead of discarding, so then you know what's still out there.
have never played canasta
fw, last word ho7.48, resembling a garden tool. Canasta uses two decks, about all I can remember, lol.. must scoot. Happy Babbling!
alright, 49 left after 1st pass
bye, aloy. thanks for coming out of hiding!
and thanks for the word, would never have thought of that
go Hokies! poof
FYI - something can resemble a garden tool but cannot resemble something you wear on your foot
5th col finished!

su 6 please?
oho, so there is an su word!
su 6/33, but stumped on that one
ok well the points def helped me
now to think how to clue it
in music, a chord that is held is ***tained. + most of the ending of the HO7 and TO7 just discussed
does it begin with sir in the deep south?
su6/33 = su + sounds like when an oil tanker leaks, it leaves a massive oil ***c*
ty corps :)

ty hurshy and corps

"Took a walk down the street Through the heat whispered *****"
Hi folks. It's 104 here. Same forecast for tomorrow. I had to take down my hummingbird feeders. The liquid was too hot.
Hi everyone!
It is still 90 degrees at 8PM.
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers!Way to go
welcome to the game, Minveryork. Always nice to see you
Hi Bugsaw! How are you doing today? Thanks for greeting
I am well and hope you are too.
I am well. I have a summer job teaching online. I love it!
Hi Grannyrose, glad you're having a better day!
Hi Bugs! Min! Nice to see you guys.
Hello origami! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
I'm fine, Min. Tired of not seeing anyone. It sure is getting old. How are you doing?
Maybe this grid is in Klingon. Shuok! Kotra!
darmak and jilad at tinagra
:D
I am well. I have a summer job teaching online. I love it!
found the 9 :)
Good for you! I'm still working half-time, albeit online.
I feel fortunate to have a job these days!
The one good thing about working online is the commute
WTG Harry.
not a big fan of Ks
Not a big fan of DT! ðŸ˜
first pass through 54 to go.
I assume things will get progressively worse :)
Even though my commute is very short since I retired and got my part-time job, I appreciate not having to get up and shower and dress and drive somewhere. I can get up at 7:30 and be working by 8. Loving that.
What is your part-time job,if you don't mind me asking U
I am now a budget manager for a department at a university near me.
And by "near" I mean 4 miles :D
no patience tonight. listing with 44 to go.
Min - at what level are you teaching?
I'm teaching advanced level high school students English.
Nice. I bet that is fun. Kids who really want to be there.
Students take the classes online in their country. So when I am teaching at 11 in the morning it is 5 or 6 their time.
When I'm teaching at 2:00 p.m.,it's 9:00 p.m. their time.
That's dedication :D I think the reason I really liked my AP classes in high school (NOT in English :-) ) was because all of my fellow classmates really wanted to be there. The teachers were wonderful.
teachers enjoy AP classes for the same reason
my AP kids are great
Sorry if I asked before, but what do you teach HarryHood
What subject do you teach, Harry?
these days chem and environmental science
Echo, echo, echo :D
finished the Ks!
I LOVED my AP chemistry teacher. He was a refugee from Romania where he was a university chemistry teacher. This was in the early 70's .... dating myself :D
had a great time with my ap chem kids this past year, even though it ended as zoom.
done! woohoo!
Congratulations, Harry.
have a good night all :)
Congratulations HarryHood on your fireworks! Way to go!

WTG MINVERYORK !!!
Thank you grannyrose! Nice to get FWs after being away.
and i am ashamed to say my last was to4, foot digits. i couldn't believe i had missed it.
I have a fetish about missing four letter words. I tend to nail those words right away. I fe 4/7 like a total heel if I miss any 4 letter words before going to the list, granny.
well you stuck your foot in it GR
i got the nine early in doing the grid. sometimes the biggies just jump right out at you. other times i simply cannot see them at all. one time i searched for a simple 6/21 word for nearly 30 minutes. i think that's hat i love about this game, that and finding new words and learning their meanings.
oh, hello ruru. sorry i missed your grand entrance.
not so grand.. just trying to make a joke :D
Hi rururocks! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
lolll. you succeeded. i was trying to work a foot in mouth comment but don't fe4 too clever to day.
hi miner
minver that is.
how are you both?
I LOVE your icon, ruru. Now I have that song in my head.
Doing well ru. I am LOVING my summer teaching job now
that place puts out great signs.. they had another funny one i'm going to post
oh great.. teaching on Zoom?
i was down yesterday ruru. but with the tender care i received from other players i have risen to the top, like a bubble in champagne. not one of them judged me for being so morose. instead i was validated and supported in the most loving way possible.
Waiting for new grid here, which seems to be as slow as what I escaped from - waiting for security cam footage of fox to download on my FB page.
that's nice gr.. we all get down sooner or later
I guess I missed that chat
hi all. need clue for the 8s and 9 please. ty
I was gone yesterday
Blimey- FB download has finally been processed. Took about 10 mins. I've got another similar film to download. erks!

Hi MKG - ar8 - those who tittilate or make feelings more aware. Ro9 - nesting sites for black birds, tr8 - leg covering garments.
Hello mkg! How are you doing today?Welcome to the grid
Hello Jacula! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.

ty jac. got the ar. looking for tr.
ro 9/78 is plural of a greeting place for gregarious birds.
