yay matty

well done!

bea, guess my missing L (she's so good at this)

and it's not lo5/10 - I'm onto that word now

8:16 am

Well, I still have 5 of those to go. Might not be too good.

LOL

ooh, just finished the i

8:17 am

finally got the sa5

yeah, that one was hard

missing 1 d

8:18 am

bbl for 19 more.

bye

8:18 am

da4.9 maybe

I have that one somehow

8:19 am

dw5.20

that's it, looking now

thx!

ooh, found the R to gray out the whole 1st col!

8:22 am

I've got sparkles as I got the last L.

8:22 am

I need to get busy...

ooh, is that a clue?

I do too

8:23 am

No. clue. LOL!

8:23 am

I'll see you tomorrow.

hehe

you could see me looking all day for an L that sparkles

alright, I'll get busy and BBL for last 16

ooh, just saw 2 f's on the way out. 14!

9:33 am

Sad, even the Google doodle is wearing masks.

how depressing.I am definitely pro mask but seeing everyone in them depresses me. back from my walk. started at 70F and finished at 80F, feels like 87. dog did not like.

9:41 am

Yeah, seeing people in masks depresses me too.

looking for my last u - not skinny, not near

not facebook term for removing your name

not short. I am totally unt4. that sounds better than short.

9:43 am

carla have you got the 7 letter body suit?

yes, thanks. also the neglectful mother and the chapter in a schoolbook.

just found it - shoelaces

molly, are you still here?

9:44 am

how about out of shape, for un 5/18?

9:44 am

oh you got it, good

or anyone here watching the new Perry Mason on HBO? the last episode had "ofay" in it. I was like, hey! I know that derogatory term.

saanichcat, do you have all the H's? missing one and there aren't a lot of ways to go from there.

nm, similar to my last W

9:46 am

No but thank you for reminding me about it. I love Matthew Rhys.

yeah, he's good

9:47 am

got all the Hs -- got the dog?

I got it, thx

9:48 am

the horse foot; the rear end; part of your foot?

I thought it was a rear end but spelled differently, but apparently it's a german soldier

9:50 am

Oh no, another contemptuous word. I hope all the German soldiers who play are hot offended. : D

I almost said nazi, because the def. said german soldiers in WWI or II

we could say it's short for the dutch beer. hand me another he6!

ooh, top 2 rows gray

just need 2 t's to finish 2nd col

9:57 am

german soldiers in WW2 were nazis hokie

I know, that's why I thought it was odd the def. on dictionary says german soldiers

finally found that missing L. 9 left!

10:00 am

do we have any germanss that play this game?

10:01 am

I don't recall any. maybe one but I can't rem. the name. trying to picture the german flag.

10:01 am

someone did type nein earlier, or was that yesterday

10:03 am

good morning

10:03 am

good morning hurshy

10:04 am

hi hursh

10:04 am

morning, hurshy. just in time to play guess my missing words. 9 left!

10:04 am

just starting the grid hokie, not able to help yet, lol

10:04 am

I'm sure it won't take long. let me know when you get to 3rd row.

10:05 am

ooh, 8!

10:06 am

7!

10:08 am

idk, starting with i and u is tough, lots of prefix monkeying

10:09 am

i did get the i words tho, and just one more u to go

10:09 am

yes, those took me a while to finish

10:09 am

last u for me was twisty, that's why it took so long

10:10 am

i have two un5 that are both twisty

10:10 am

you prob need un7

10:10 am

that would be correct :D

10:11 am

think jane fonda or richard simmons

10:12 am

or borat

10:12 am

thanks, found it!

10:12 am

top row grey!

10:13 am

2nd row grey!

10:13 am

gotta go, still 7 for later

10:14 am

so that means i'm on the third row

10:14 am

oh ttfn then

10:17 am

No think Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor. SPANDEX!!

10:18 am

:)

10:19 am

name that proper noun! the late beloved actor of Columbo and Princess Bride

10:19 am

Falk

10:19 am

ding ding ding!

10:19 am

*tearing up*

10:24 am

i thought maybe we could get an alt form of deadly because of "femme _____" but no such luck

10:27 am

Such a well known and commonly used phrase too.

10:27 am

yeah

10:31 am

i hate princesse bride clues

10:31 am

it wasn't a clue, it was a NTPN

10:32 am

oh.. sorry well falk me then

10:32 am

it's your own fault, harboring this unreasonable, uninformed prejudice

10:32 am

:P

10:33 am

good moring all - just in from the garden

10:33 am

just in time to stop me and ruru from brawling? lol

10:33 am

sorry .. it's the dumbest movie to me

10:33 am

hi nan

10:33 am

i thought you hadn't watched it

10:34 am

I finally watched part of it.. really silly stuff

10:34 am

YES

10:34 am

silliness is my #1 value in life

10:34 am

that is why my favorite american comedy is Psych

10:34 am

it was so silly Anne Hathaway should have been in it too

10:35 am

well, she was only 5 when it came out, there would have had to be a little girl role for her

10:36 am

still looking for that un 7 -- fonda and simmons certainly aren't or weren't un 6

10:36 am

they wore a particularly ugly exercise outfit tho

10:37 am

one piece outfit nan un7

10:38 am

ty - have never heard it called that before

10:38 am

*looks into the Cave that Nan lives in*

10:38 am

it's really an ugly word too

10:39 am

how do you feel about leotard hursh?

10:39 am

not QUITE as ugly of a word

10:39 am

would have called it a jumpsuit

10:40 am

i think things ending with -tard suffer from association with retard

10:40 am

le 7's are actually the tights that ballet people wear

10:41 am

Morning all, happy Wednesday

10:41 am

back atcha mool

10:42 am

got 19 minutes to get this completed ;)

10:42 am

123 to go

10:42 am

:O

10:43 am

5 left here, mostly 5 letters

10:44 am

53....28 of them 4s

10:44 am

wow, 70 words in two minutes? that's amazing

10:44 am

play a lot of boggle type games

10:44 am

yeah

10:45 am

i guess i used to go that fast before i switched to going one letter at a time

10:45 am

plus the first ones are easy

10:46 am

now if hokie would come back we could help each other finish the last few words

10:46 am

did she lose power because of the storm?

10:47 am

idk, but i did. we're on generator power atm.

10:47 am

those k's always give me trouble

10:47 am

yes, k words stink

10:48 am

as do sk words

10:48 am

only have 2 of them

10:48 am

4 here

10:48 am

i have five

10:48 am

one has a double vowel

10:48 am

one is a leafy green

10:48 am

one is a game mario ka4

10:49 am

25 to go

10:49 am

and one is a greek preposition, with a plural so it must mean something else

10:49 am

just typed in the most unlikely k combination and it was accepted!

10:49 am

what was it cnan, can you clue?

10:50 am

oooh i got it tooooo

10:50 am

kl 5/24 - certain you can figure it out

10:50 am

yes, i just tried unlikely things, lol

10:50 am

looks german or yiddish

10:50 am

i hope my missing Fs are a 5/6 combo, that would make life easier

10:50 am

you don

10:51 am

you don't want to fall into one

10:51 am

i guess it's boer/afrikaans then

10:51 am

oh yeah, dutch would make sense

10:52 am

oh, that was a lame 7

10:53 am

lemme know if you find an F6 or an S6

10:53 am

oh, and there's my last 7...that's encouraging

10:53 am

f6 builds off an l5

10:54 am

ok then i must need that l5

10:54 am

fl 6 is what mr. Flosey calls Flosey when he's been drinking

10:54 am

yay, only 2 left now!

10:56 am

does anyone have more than 2 sk words?

10:56 am

one of them being a 5?

10:56 am

only have 2 so far

10:56 am

just two hursh

10:56 am

mk then maybe it's just an sa

10:57 am

hope he doesn't add an s into that

10:57 am

hahaha

10:58 am

okay, got to go...19 left, so not too bad in 17 minutes

10:58 am

good job mool

10:58 am

bye mool - wd

10:58 am

tx nan, if I don't see you later, hagd all

10:59 am

stuckity stuck stuck stuck

11:02 am

me too, hurshy

11:02 am

What? You can't knock out 104 words in 19 minutes Hursh? : D

11:02 am

an F5 and an S5 (have the sa5 fabric)

11:03 am

well i probably can, depending on the grid and if i just type anything i see, i just haven't played that way in a while

11:03 am

wasn't an sa 6 called last night?

11:03 am

can't've been, i only need one more S and it is a 5, there is no S6

11:04 am

is there a ka 6?

11:04 am

nope, no K6 of any kind

11:08 am

still missing 3 k's - 2 x4 and a 5 so far

11:08 am

there is a 4/5 combo

11:09 am

ty - k's done

11:10 am

well, went to the list for those last 2. fi5 was normal, a villain, but sa5 was not fishy

11:11 am

didn't have the villain, ty - points for the sa 5?

11:12 am

5/10

11:14 am

I was wondering if sex fi5 was the one you needed

11:21 am

i have another harry potter question

11:22 am

book four, with the dragons, he does "Accio Firebolt" - why not just do "Accio Golden Egg" and boom, you've won the challenge in 2 seconds? why didn't any of the other champions think of that either?

11:23 am

when did el 3/7 stop being both singular and plural?

11:24 am

it didn't stop, it just shares its duties now

11:24 am

apparently

11:25 am

stupid

11:26 am

el 3/7?

11:26 am

large antlered animal

11:27 am

adding an s to it is sort of like saying salmons are swinning in the ocean

11:28 am

It's like deer I guess. The plural of that is accepted even though most people use the singular as the plural.

11:28 am

i love goldfishes cause they're so delicious

11:28 am

*Hears the gasp of horror from the goldfish owners

11:28 am

goldfish CRACKERS

11:29 am

Okay, now we are CJ and Danny from The West Wing

11:37 am

first al 5/10?

11:37 am

add an extra consonant to the al 4/4

11:38 am

a + where the pork chop comes from

11:39 am

I have the pork chop 5/10 need the other

11:39 am

abarbeque

11:39 am

damn it

11:39 am

got it. Ty all!

11:39 am

aporky

11:40 am

didn't work either

11:40 am

french back lane

11:42 am

Or Mr. Gore + Robert E. the General, for those who don't know French

11:47 am

oooh - molly is being politically incorrect

11:52 am

*!*~*!* hagd everyone and stay safe (that was supposed to be a joke, molly )

12:03 pm

morning all. anyone else having an issue with babble expert today?

12:05 pm

It's working fine for me.

12:07 pm

how odd. nothing is loading correctly. I've even restarted my computer and it's still wonky.

12:10 pm

That must be frustrating. I couldn't begin to offer any help, unfortunately.

12:18 pm

rehi all, back to see if I can knock any of these last 19 off

12:35 pm

I don't use it babble expert, but generally the first issue with web pages is corrupt locally cached data, so if you go into your browser and delete temporary internet files (not cookies, not browsing history, but cached data) that's a good start. Just be careful, if you don't know what you're doing then you might delete stuff you wanted to keep...

12:36 pm

An alternative would be to download a different web browser....Chrome, Microsoft, Firefox, Opera something other than what you're using

12:41 pm

any clues for the in6 and in7????

12:42 pm

in7 is lame

12:42 pm

it's in front of a 5 letter word that doesn't seem like it can be prepended by in

12:43 pm

in6 in + not winter, spring or summer

12:43 pm

inautumn...hmm

12:43 pm

I adjust my statement...the in6 and in7 are both lame

12:43 pm

k..got the 6..still not the 7

12:43 pm

thx Molly

12:43 pm

Well if you can "prepend" that word with back, why not in?

12:44 pm

fair point

12:44 pm

wonder if over works for both

12:44 pm

in7 is in + a word that means a whoosh of air through a crack by the window

12:44 pm

probably not

12:47 pm

I find it good to step away for some time and come back, words that were completely invisible before pop out after a break

12:48 pm

ty...got it

1:10 pm

took the dog for a walk, restarted the computer again, still not working, then remembered to try control + F5 for a complete refresh, and now babble expert is working.

1:11 pm

and moolingwa, it had nothing to do with the browser, as babble expert is a separate browser on its own

1:53 pm

I always forget that The Sound of Music telegram guy is playable

the muppet dog that plays drums?

I'm back. we'll see if being away helps me find last 7. doubtful

ooh, there's one, trees

and I have to thank the confederacy for another, just kidding, thanks to molly

now I have a 4, 3 5's, and a 6 left. T, F, A, K. wonder if moo is gone for the day.

2:23 pm

My guess for the K is that bizarre kl word

I do not have a kl, how many letters?

nm, got it

thx

found my last 4!

3 left, 2 5's and a 6, 2 F's and an A. I'm guessing the F's are a 5/6 combo, so hopefully

well, just found an f6, that isn't a plural so there goes that theory.

bad comma in there, sorry

2:32 pm

Oh, like that fl6 is a word

didn't click on it, interjection?

no

alright, any guesses on my last F5 or A5?

2:41 pm

do you have al5/10

yes, x2

2:41 pm

all the f5s are normal today, the one i missed was fi5/18

2:42 pm

do you have ar5/10

yes

2:43 pm

FO 5/18

2:43 pm

did you pluralize your af4

I have fo 5/18 but not fi 5/18, must be that

was af, I thought I tried that earlier even though it's stupid

now just fi5/18 that I'm not seeing, but still looking

2:46 pm

It is a devil of a word to find.

is that a clue or it's really hard to see?

2:47 pm

Clue.

2:48 pm

A person who is not your friend but a wicked person.

2:49 pm

I'm fi5ishly clever ;)

To!!!! How are you? I have news! My brother moved to Chadds Ford. Is that anywhere you know of?

hi trif! beautiful area. closer to Delaware, but a lot closer than you.

Delaware is not far. just lots of traffic.

5:29 pm

they got REALLY lucky - nice big house for their family

yes. they are near the charcoal pit (yum)

and a grotto pizza

did they move for work?

5:30 pm

they had such a HORRIBLE situation where they were - terrible, nosy, hostile neighbors. Now they have acreage around them - blissful peace!

in PA before?

5:30 pm

yes, about an hour away, I think?

i', drawing a radius in my mind. I can just imagine.

chadds ford was pretty rural till suburban sprawl hit.

and tax free shopping in DE!

need to see about dinner. i am not used to cooking stovetop, but in this heat i am doing it. i miss the oven and broiler, no need to stand over a hot stove.

sorry

cat on the keyboard?

no. owl

(!)

Temple Owl, you're a veteran, so I'll ask you. Have you noticed that lately more words aren't really words when you look them up. Example: today, "foin" I accepted, but when I check dictionary, "join" comes up.

5:59 pm

dictionary.com is updated far more often than the enable word list that is part of babble

5:59 pm

evening all!

6:00 pm

I have un7 and gr7 what's my missing 7?

6:01 pm

In7

Thanks, dan2bit I just found "foin" in another dictionary. So that's the answer.
