there is a city in our county with their own independent school district and one of my neighbors is a principal there. he said yesterday they are actually physically going.
The teachers are in the process of making a video of every one of there lessons. That way, if they have to do remote learning again, the lessons will be done.

we used to try to watch HBO with a scrambled signal. we were actually watching DC Cab that way when the space shuttle exploded (home for snow day)
We really are the "decoder" generation. From the secret decoder rings in cereal boxes to decoders for your TV
sometimes the scrambled channel would not even allow you to hear audio - wht had a "barker channel" which was audio for the non-subscribers

This is happening all over the place. Just happened to my daughters over the weekend. There was no attempt at delivery...we were all here. Yet the notice said that.

You have to walk up about 15 steps to get to my sister's front door. The post office has repeatedly marked deliveries as "unsuccessful" because the delivery person is too lazy to get out and walk up the steps. I send her packages through my nephew now.
yes, I agree with your assessment in my case, gwen. I would have really been angry if I had driven 15 min to the PO to pick it up like they told me to, waited in line inside with other people, only to be told it's out on the truck.

Here are some of the things Republicans have been doing to EFF UP our postal system.
1. they recently killed all overtime. This means if your carrier has leftover items to deliver, they don't get delivered till the next day. The next day they pile of leftovers is even bigger. and so on.
2. a few years ago they passed a low required USPS to fund its pension plan for the next 75 years. This is called a poison pill.
3. the new postmaster general has literally been telling the USPS to slow down
4. they are trying to scare everyone with made-up stories about how unsafe USPS is, to prevent people from voting by mail
5. just found out today, in Iowa, and who knows where else, they are literally removing sorting machines in order to slow delivery to a crawl
it's so blatantly absurd, I can't even believe we're having to talk about sabotaging the damn USPS. But here we are.
people get their pills through the mail. i have friends who are being left waiting for pain medication. it is criminal.
