There are two cl6/30s
Good morning, Carla.
I see. thx. was talking about the high school one
interesting def. for the other
I guess we had a storm last night.
we had one early afternoon, were supposed to have more at night but I didn't hear any, which doesn't mean anything
More rain for us today, here in the swamp land.
How are things with our parents, Carla?
GM all, I have 3 cl6,30
your paretns
well, well. now I have to look again, thx FT
Well, so you do! Hello monkey.
One of the 3 is a plural
Hi Bzz!
How's your momma?
Bea, still not good. at least it's been 2 weeks since they were exposed to cv. home health was ordering a hospital bed and my mom was very angry about it going in the living room, but they have a tiny house and that's really the only place.
Is your brother still able to help lift your dad?
he has been but his back is not great
he told mom she needed to find full time helper or a nursing home. she called social services and the home health agency to see if they knew how to find someone and no one could help.
I thought that social services should be there to help elderly folks but what do I know.
Try contacting "A Place for Mom"
Does he have a social worker?
I did find a group in the region that does things like, shopping, laundry, etc., and their website says they have care coordination counselors so I told her to call them.
no, no social worker that I know of.
everything is so much harder with CV!
It is.
horrible time to have something else wrong with you
and his mind is getting so bad, he tells my other brother on the phone every day he needs to get home and asks him to take him. He's lived there for 47 years!
That is so sad.
yep. last time I talked to him he was trying to work an emergency claim for me (he used to be an ins. claims adjuster). I just played along.
i monkeyed a cl6/30
I still haven't found the pl. one french toast was talking about. can't make it work with the points. I did find a cl5/20 pl. though

I guess I need help with the other is7/8. I have the one that is similar to the brand of gloves.

I can feel your breath on the back of my neck, ru!
23
i may need to list.. it's a lot harder now
You win! I listed at 27
i'm stuck now though
You win for not listing until you got stuck. I just got fed up!
i hate it when i'm stuck and i still have 4's and 5's
there has to be some weird ass f's
There are. The dammed Fs were the main reason I caved.
20...might list soon if I don't budge
trying to plural everything now
do you have the f that uses the high tile?
i have that one
i'm down to g's and f's
3 .. i give up
*sigh* I've got one left, and the last one I got was because I forgot the singular of something

torgone is going to love this grid!
where are my boston peeps at? Name a proper noun: famous sign above Kenmore Square
evening all
hello wendrie
Groton! Although I've only visited Boston and the surrounding hoods.
I'll have you know I am above such things ..
My nephew went to private school in Groton.
lololol - nice try, torgone!
Oh, and it's the Titgo sign ..
Oh, I'm wrong. * slinks to penalty box *
LOLOLOL - close! Citgo. I think your eyes have adapted to see only what you desire
Typo ..
suuuuure
Clues for the right-hand I ? I got nothing!
they all start with is - is6/7/8, is6, is7/8
I know that from Lickety, but I've still got nothing.
head toward column 1 bottom corner

except for the 2nd 6
OK Thanks to you both. I'm on it!
I'm back, peoples
did torgone put on his tiara yet?
well, fresh eyes didn't help that much - only found 8 - might have to go to list with 32 left
wait, there's another
Hi Carla
Hi Wendrie, I've reached the look-up-words-because-the-list-didn't-\nhelp phase.
oh, too many characters I guess. I know I didn't type \n
I've been busy all day so I only started while eating my dinner. Had a very nice gluten free pizza :)
nice. those are certainly hard to find.
Yes - and it was a new brand so it's always risky
Yep. We have a frozen brand here that is my favorite, even of actual restaurants.
phantom quince
I don't even know that one so no phantom for me :D
can't even find fi5/22 with a look up website
it uses the highest scoring tile - I've already got that ;)
just realized that and got it, but thanks
np
no wonder I couldn't look it up, wasn't even trying that 3rd letter
last one gl7 was also hard for me to find by looking up. oh well, certainly missed some regular words but the majority after I listed were new to me.
gotta get to sewing!
or exercise if there's a big enough no rain window.
what are you sewing?
Response from morewords...Thank you for writing in. This was caused by a faulty update on our side, please accept our apologies, it should be fixed now...and it is. Back to alphabetical order. Yay.
alphabetical order sounds sensible ;)
good afternoon/evening people :)
Hi Nan - how are you?
good thanks -- you?
I have a few projects going on, all related to remodeling our motorhome (you may call it a caravan). still have 2 roll-up shades to make, some couch throw pillows, and a quilt w/ matching pillow shams
hi nan
hi carla - that will keep you busy
Some people call them motorhomes here if you're travelling around in them. I have a couple of friends in the US who live full time in their RVs.
hope you will post a picture when it's done, carla
what part of the UK are you in Wendrie?
my scottish friends here say caravan for what we'd call a camper, I just wasn't sure if they use the same for a motorhome
I'm in London Nan
nan, we have been doing videos here and there that I plan on editing together and putting on youtube when we're all finished.
lots of intersting things to do there if you are not in the middle of a pandemic :)
yep - lots of interesting things to do in London. A friend took her kids to the Tower of London, they had the place mostly to themselves. 500 per day rather than 5000
although I have to say I enjoyed Greenwich and Windsor more (not really a city person)
we have a class A, which is like a tour bus and probably what your US friends live in. here it is aka a motorhome, coach, RV, etc.
I'm closer to Windsor than Greenwich but both are nice. Hampton Court is interesting too - I like arriving by boat :)
when I was a kid we had pull-behind campers (like trailers but we never called it that so as not to be confused with mobile homes) and always called motorhomes "drive-its"
My friend loves London and would go live there. I have never been to Europe.
There are pop-up trailers here, but most people drive a towed caravan. Motorhomes or mobile homes tend to be fairly static
yeah, the mobile home here is park it and leave it, totally different from campers/caravans
also here caravan means a group of vehicles traveling together, that's why it was so odd to me when I first heard my scottish friends say it
stats for E in bottom left corner pls
en 6/18 & en 7/28
es 5/12
thnx
There are very few roads in the UK other than the autoroutes that would accommodate vehicles the size of the motorhomes and 5th wheels we have over here.
woot fw! Anyone want a clue before I head off?
wd wendrie -- haven't listed yet and stilll have 65 to go
nan, I listed at 33. some new ones for me.
That's about where I gave up today
right - night all :)
might not last that long -- other things I want to get done
ooh - just found the word that reminds me of marquaritas
this is definitely an Al Hirt grid
gl 5 please?
g + ____ and found
ty molly
*!* hagd everyone :)
I laugh when I type a word into the ADD WORD box and it gets red underlined as not a word, but Enable accepts it.
hi all. would love clues for the en words that are for bottom left corner E. ty.
I've never had a word underline in red, I'm not cool, apparently!
En + work
work eh? must think. ty.
got them! ty
have IS 8/40 need stats for other 8s pls
*face palm* fw. my last word was fo6/33. *doh!*

Took me forever, too, lol.
met goals so off to read a while. ty
yvw
anyone else before I poof?
*poof*
Something special in the grid today ..
Hmmmm ....
A highly esteemed and loved, and humble, Babbler ..
hahahahaha
Ha :D
Cool !
Of course the plural is not accepted; there is only one ..
the one and only !
And, I am finished. A nice group of words today :-)
It's still 108 degrees here. Not nice. Not nice at all.
102 here still
are you at your son's doreN?
Yuck. This is pretty awful. It is not cooling off at night, which it normally does here. I hope you don't have humidity Dorens.
it's so cool here - low 60s tonight
but we really need some good soaking rain. the trees are starting to get droopy
Is it OK if I hate you a little Harry?
heh - anytime ori
we had lots of hot weather already this summer - a small break is well deserved.
almost can spell licentious
It is always hot here in the summer. Seldom any rain from April through September. But this lenghty stretch of heat is pretty bad. Going to be over 105 for the next week.
that's pretty disgusting. sorry
My air conditioner hasn't shut off for 3 hours. Well, it's only money, right?
we shut our a/c on thu eve, and I hope to have it off for awhile.
that's crazy orig
Normally I turn it off at night, but not the last couple of days. It's supposed to be 113 on Tuesday. Yay!
113!!!! sounds like Iraq.
No kidding. Well, at least it doesn't snow here :D
I love snow :)
can't take the heat. I lived in atlanta for a couple years - I was so miserable in the summer
Yes, I hate the heat. I grew up in the SF Bay Area. The summer and winter highs were about 10 degrees apart. I am not used to extremes of temperatures.
SF weather would suit me
if you could combine sf weather with sacramento real estate prices, it would be paradise
We're supposed to get 96 tomorrow. And we have no air conditioning!
wow thats unusual
Exactly Harry. Actually my favorite weather is across the bay in Berkeley. The best.
That's pretty toasty for Seattle.
Which is why no one I know here has air conditioning.
Yup...I expect gin and tonics to be at a premium tomorrow...
jan, it was 93 today down south near the coast
the kids are worried that now that schools are so adept at distant learning, snow days are a thing of the past
I used to live in the Santa Cruz area and occasionally we would have a hot spell - usually in September. Nobody had air conditioning. We thought we were perishing at 90 degrees.
Chehalis is expected to be well over 100...
well i'm having air conditioning when i move to Port Townsend
think I'll stay home tomorrow!
Good move, ruru. At least when the wildfires send bad air your way, you can close the windows and not swelter.
50 to go!
We finished the last of our lettuce today in a big dinner salad. I'm not sure what we'll have for dinner tomorrow. Sorbet?
I was thinking Ice cream sounded good! LOL
I think air conditioning is a good fall-back plan. Although you will probably never use it, ru.
ice cream is forbidden in my house
soret it is then ru! I have a portable AC and we actually use it more than I thought we would.
Every house needs ice cream at least once a year. I treat myself to Haagen Daz once a year. So sinfully good.
Oh how sad! I have a half gallon of mint chocolate chip that I got assuming that my granddaughter would be visiting this summer. We will have to eat it ourselves. Tough assignment, but someone's got to do it.
hagen daz is my downfall ori
Oh, I love mint chocolate chip.
I laugh when the container says four servings
when I was younger I would finish a pint of ben and jerrys in a sitting
mint chocolate chip is one of my faves too
NY super fudge chunk was my favorite
Yes. Four servings, really? Four toddler servings, maybe.
I don't even go down the ice cream aisle in the store :D
My granddaughter has good taste. her favorites are mint chocolate chip and salted caramel...
caramel is my favorite of all
at the ben and jerry's factory in VT there's an ice cream cemetary for all the failed flavors
Your granddaughter has good taste. I avoid the ice cream aisle as well. But it sure does sound good right now.
now I'm going to dream about ice cream
some doozys
I made caramel pudding in the beginning of virus-time; it was so good!
No calories in dreaming...
Man, I wish I had gotten ice cream at the store today! I love the Ben & Jerry's factory. Just got home from vermont, tried new flavor Netflix and Chill'd; it's pretty good
45....listing
an italian restaurant I went to on my own here in Napa had a caramel - chocolate panna cotta that was insane
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Ice cream. I think I'm going to have to get some. To hell with imagining a svelt body. I would rather have ice cream :D
Grocery Outlet had a tiramisu flavored ice cream. I wish we'd gotten another pint.
What is panna cotta? I know, remedial question.
kind of a milky/creamy gelatin like dessert
It's a cream-based blancmange type dessert.
Ori you and Cynthia have to make it over here
There will be time for exercise when the weather cools down.
So now Jan is going to torment us with tiramisu. It is my favorite desert.
i know.. i couldn't take the dog for a walk or do my bike ride too freaking hot
We will, ru.
Tiramisu is ridiculously easy to make, though getting the ladyfingers and mascarpone cheese is not always easy.
I always think of that bit on tiramisu in Sleepless in Seattle
I have never tried it. Althogh the ingredients are available here.
Ori, you really should. Though once you do it, you'll run down the slippery slope of making tiramisu all the time.
you could make them and catapult them at your neighbor in her backyard ori :D
No, ru. I wouldn't catapult something tasty at her. Maybe rocks. :D The only benefit of this heat wave is that they aren't sitting outside talking at the top of their lungs.
done!
I didn't need the chog or morewords for this one - just the list :)
good night!
Clue for ot6/18 please
jax, sore ear
comes from o tile 1st column, 3rd row
