Sorry. Don't think that word is in the grid.
Darn. I thought the "long no space message blows the chat width thing" had been fixed. I guess it depends on how long the error is.

Still raining, Molly?
No, it's sunny with a hint of cool in the air. I have to laugh at people who get their coats out at the first hint of cool weather.
Like it is going to stay cool in August...
On the other side, there are the people I see jogging in 90 degree weather in long sleeves.
It is probably the sports fabric that wicks and is a sunscreen.
I have a neighbor that wears jeans and long sleeve flannel shirts every day of the year.

SORRY!!!
My sister found the box of letters my parents wrote to each other before they got married. What a treasure. It is a shame that letter writing has become a thing of the past. A lot of history was passed down that way.
How nice, Molly.

eyedirt is not a word? or eyesnot (discussed the last time it was in the grid). ah, but now I remember it.
Too bad that Enable doesn't take bodge as a word. My Brit relatives use it all the time--it means to cobble together a repair or solution to something, usually awkwardly
lol, haven't heard that before, but it sounds very british
One of my brothers-in-law refers to himself as the Artful Bodger.
nice
I saw some bodgers on a Countryfile programme. they usually work in wood, apparently, both repairing and building wooden items.
well, I have made it to 20 left but am stuck now. will go do some actual stuff. TTFN.
good morning everyone
Good afternoon!
is it afternoon there now matty? -- good afternoon :)
It is only 7:56 am here
It's 4.00pm, near enough ;)
yes - 8 hours - I should have thought about that
How's Canada?
lots of forest fires around at the moment
That's not ideal. Thinking of you!
closest 2 are about 50km away, so everything is OK at the moment -- just hope we don't get any more lightning storms
We had some very impressive thunder storms here a few days ago - lots of trees down - fortunately we don't have overhead electricity wires, so didn't lose any power
It's just so dry here and we've had a lot of lightning over the last few days, but very little moisture.

We've got high winds predicted tomorrow. My OH is playing golf, so that should be interesting
I always forget that is other half and my first thought is old husband
Haa! He is older than I am, but isn't my husband and isn't THAT old (though he does qualify for the seniors' discount at his golf club next year)
Oh dear my doctor crashed his car into a wall in July. and then ran away from thbe scene. He was found a while later and was three times over the drink driving limit. He has to go to court tomorrow. Trust it to be my doctor!
Only found out today. No wonder I could not get hold of him when I needed.
that's not old! mine qualified for senior discount 30 years ago :)
Thankfully he did not hurt anyone or worse. What an idiot.

Damn, and people ask me why I am afraid of doctors
i'm only afraid of proctologists
Ah...the snap of the glove. Be glad you don't have to fear gynecologists.
Never ha a colonoscopy ru?
only one.. but i was knocked out for that
They always knock you out
first time i'd been knocked out ever
Hmm...maybe not anymore. I got one where they just gave me stuff to make me drowsy and spacey. At one point, the doctor asked if I wanted to watch the screen as the procedure. Hahaha,,,nope.
I would rather see a gynecologist than a proctologist any day.
Mine palpates the ovaries via the rear entrance, so not much difference. Except for the ice-cold speculum part.
And I apologize for the TMI stuff...
It's not fun, but we can have abies

if men had to deliver babies we would have a smaller world population for sure
You want to know how to crack a room full of women up? Tell them to picture a man in labor.
i think men get the best part of making babies
Maybe the easiest part. And with all of the pains in the ass of being pregnant, it is pretty cool to grow a life inside you and deliver it into the world.

no i'm just frustrated
because i had ... sometimes i have these very vivid and horrifying dreams that are completely inexplicable, and then i do not feel rested the next day

sometimes i hope that somehow the horror and pain of these things is being supernaturally siphoned off someone who is really experiencing these things and dumped onto me, because then there would actually be some purpose to it
Hi ru
same to you mool. It's RAINING here! Thank god.
another hot one here for us today
wish it would rain here
Rain would be good. There's a chance I will have house guests escaping the fires. Sigh.
we have fires. How are the ones near you ru?
indeed CA wearing it again, has been a real rough few years
still raging out of control.. lots of evacuations.. I am prepared to go
good luck to all aroung fires.
yes.. lots of friends have evacuated
Parts of Vacaville and Winters are being evacuated.

vacaville for sure ori.. it's a mess there
is 80 reopened?
Winters, wow...didn't think there was enough fuel around there

Lots of grassland around there mool. I lived in Davis for many years, also.
Apparently, you have lived just about everywhere
anything near berryessa is always under threat of fires, as is anything near clear lake
would occasionally visit the Buckhorn there in Winters
yeah, it does feel that way sometimes Molly

I think New Zealand is a great place to move if you are going to stay put. As previously stated, it is a long way from anywhere. So if you intend to travel, it might get weird and definitely expensive.
yes, living there can be quite expensive, because it's so far and relatively smallish population ~5M
But certainly well stocked with fresh produce, seafood, dairy, certain meats
i worked for a man who spent about half his time in NZ and half in east coast US, and it wasn't split like 6 months here and 6 months there, it was like, couple of weeks here, couple of weeks there. i couldn't understand how he could deal with jet lag that often.
I'm not sure how many people can dig 14 hour plane rides
Clothing, electronics...housing, those things can be quite expensive
yeah, that doesn't seem like fun
From the East coast you're looking at about 20 hours of travel...about 5 to LA, a 90-120 minute layover and then the 12-13 hours to Auckland
And that doesn't include the travel time to and from the airport
That is insane
ge6 clue pls?
I've done it a few times, but would do it on a monthly basis
it's a rough trip
but well worth the hassles
ge6 something you might be doing on a horse ML

According to the dictionary, fogel is a word. It's a British term for a silk scarf.

Sorry, a silk handkerchief. Didn't mean to bodge the fogel.
I feel like I am speaking Jabberwocky

that funny Molly!
there's Brillig, Mimsy, Calloo, Callay, and... Wabe i think? and then they found the mom and she's Tumtum
Kitten Lady?
I'm always sad that bodge isn't a babble word
yes, Hannah Shaw is her real name, she's the daughter of some rock star and she fosters kittens and now other babies too, right now she also has some ducklings, she's had piglets a couple of times
I tried it anyway Wendrie
Oh jeeze, apparently she digs ink too.
yes :)
That figures. She's Tommy Shaw's daughter.
she and Dude have both helped me to appreciate that heavily inked folks are really just like anyone else and to not judge about it

it is the Xmas tree deco! thx
now i need one upper S, and then i will only have the central S left after that, with six (6) missing

do5/16 and plural perhaps
3 4's, 3 5's, and 5 6's

found two more, rhyme with the e words for border and borderish
I have those
found one of the 4's!
do you have the italian looking se5/14s ?
I don't see anything resembling that
each ends with a vowel, and they are the same in their first four letters
I miss those a lot
now 2 4's and 2 6's left
got my missing 6! it was an so
ok, do not have that
if you can figure out which two fives i might be missing that'd be swell
which tile(s)?
S, probably middle but could be one of each, idk
wait, is one grayed out or not?
not
missing 1 upper, 2 middle
do you have the thing you wear on your upper torso?
yes
that was hard for me for some reason
a * remark?
yes, and i found one of them, i had just missed an easy plural, that was upper S
almost Xmas guy with white beard?
I think most are plural
so i'm down to a 4 and a 5 from the middle

yes, my other 5 was also a plural
which leaves a 4, lol
I still have the 2 4's so prob one of those.

I might be lucky to find 3 before you're done ;)
all s's
okay, now 2 s6 left
okay, I did find 3 already, so that was an exaggeration
well, you've had a habit of missing past tenses today hokie, do you think it could be that?
possible, will check. one from each S
also there is one odd sa6, not the crazies but the sa6
I have 3 sa6
unless you're a ninjago fan :(
there are 4 hokie
I am not. my boys went through that a little but they were more pokemon
I got 'em both
pt. total?

the opposite of crazies one is 6/18
one might lose it in the current times
I have the 6/24 that is the not crazy
that is odd, hurshy. got it, thx
now 1 S6 from the middle.
do you have the so one?
if you got the so6 i mentioned then it is either a pl or pt
I wanted it to be shindig which is neither in the grid, nor 6 letters
oh yeah, I forgot you mentioned the so6 earlier. it is indeed that. looking now.
it was in a grid last week too I think
oh, what's the points?

did you find everything hurshy? need to get back to cleaning my kitchen but will be glad to make guesses before I go.

yeah i finished when you had 3 left
I'm going to feed all the hungry squirrels outside with my deck garden, does that count?
sure, special dispensation
I thought you did but there was no fanfare. :D
congrats to both of you
i am not really that into fanfare
I have no fans to consume the fare
I obviously need all the accolades that mean absolutely nothing ;)
heh
When Hurshy finishes, you can just say Meow and she will be happy
as long as no one coughs up a hairball, I see no issue with that
*Bets Carla got that "seems like this student is not getting enough attention at home" comment on her report card
wow, i can't imagine putting such a comment on a report card! but maybe that is because i taught at a private school where you don't want to piss off your customers
I taught at public schools. We would have been in huge trouble if we said that, hurshy!
It is right up there with "doesn't get along well with others". Things were different in the 1960's.
Hey, Dorens, long time no see
can't imagine putting that on a report card either -- it is even a tricky situation to address at a p-t conference
"Doesn't get along with others" describes the student. Making comments about home environment strictly verboten!!
Hi aussie - how've you been?
Hi, Nan
I was definitely not in school in the 60's. :D and that was sarcasm earlier about the accolades in case you didn't notice.
I grew up in the 50's and I can't imagine anyone stating that ever
That is interesting because when a student is having trouble in school, it is often asked if there are any problems at home. That addresses the home environment.
Hi all. lovely day her

hi peri, cooler here today. nice cloud cover.
Pretty good for the most part Dorens, except my Diabetes is kicking my tushie big time. I'm now type 1, insulin dependent, and it has affected my eyes too. I am blind for the most part in my right eye, and having monthly injections in the eye to try to correct it.
Hey, Peri, very long time no see too
HI Aussie, Hi Dorens
Yes, Molly. Privately, verbally in a face to face conference. But to write it? Never. I was school counselor. Often addressed home environment privately. For good reason, sometimes.
that's tough aussie - hope the injections work
Sorry to hear that Aussie- and hi Peri
sorry to hear that Aussie, hope the injections work

well that's awful, aussie. sorry to hear.
