Hey there, y'all.
hi Judi
morning folks :)
hi hursh
cute pup
thanks, she's a sweetie. Cute cat :-)
thanks, she's not actually a cat, she's an angel who happens to look like a cat :-)
oh I see, sorry to hear that
no no, she's alive
i just mean she's not an ordinary cat, she's like a little angel in cat form
she's so good
that's great! Not like my son's cat who is very tempermental
yeah i have two regular cats also lol
lol
We have an angel dog too, Luv. Never had to train her. She just knew what to do. I firmly believe our former dog was her spirit guide.
here's to all the furry angels!
Anyone have a clue for the Fe6/27?
it's kind of like the comedic actor Will formerly of SNL
Ty!
back atcha
good morning everyone :)
morning nan
oho, i found an 8! te8
That's the last 8 I'm looking for.
earthy; homophone of soup serving dish
Got it.
your last and my first, lol
we're like river song and the doctor :....(
is there aother clue for that fe 7 please -- didn't watch SNL
The others are all Re.
he's way famous tho cnan - was in Bewitched movie, Anchorman...
He was also in "Elf".
nan....like the animal with a different last consonant....
played GW Bush in their political lampoons
oh yeah ELF
Possibly the most obnoxious movie ever.
my sister loves it, but i haven't seen it
I can only take Will in very small doses.
Lunch time. PRobably won't get to finish today. 46 left in the bucket.
have you ever seen his audition tape for SNL? i think that's what it was... it's this video of him acting like a cat, it's pretty hilarious
only bewitched I ever saw was on TV and did you mean the cat pen?
no....rodent like animal....fe +.....
sorry hurshy -- have never seen what was so funny about slapstick
it wasn't slapstick, it was... um... it was just amazing, he really embodied catness
yes, well, I never thought Seinfeld was terribly funny either
well, they are completely different...
nan is not a comedy person.....lol.....i have only seen one Seinfeld episode from start to finish.....so i can relate....
Also not a Seinfeld fan. I like comedy, but never got into Seinfeld.
got to the R, and wow, yeah, found the other 8s, bing bang boom
i did like Frasier.....one of the few comedies i have enjoyed....
And really, the only people who would find that Will Fe7 cat thing funny are people who are into cats.
I do like good comedy -- Jack Benny, George Burns and humourists lke George Carlin.
also liked Carol Burnett and Tina Fey
The Carol Burnett Show was top shelf comedy.
i did enjoy that....still remember Tim Conway doing that dentist skit....
I'm looking forward to Tina Fey's new show (Mr. Mayor) starring Ted Danson - think it is supposed to premiere sometime next summer.
lol - he was hilarious
he was a natural comedian.....so much was ad libbed....
Tim Conway and Harvey Korman were classic together
and Ruth Buzzi and Lily Tomlin
found the fe 7 finally - ty -- didn't know it was a plural
sorry, should have said that....
heading out.....bbl to find my last 30 words....bye all....
bye pen
4 left: 2 x6 and 2x7
pl 6 please?
nm - found
so 7 please?

51 to go here, started a bit earlier before my walk
hi all. the te8 is the only 8 I have
you want the first letter or letters of each?
I know there are 3 re8
yep
two of them are the same word, alternate spelling
the third is almost the same spelling as the first one, with one letter changed
I found one re8
I only have re8 that you pay a lawyer or wear after braces
ty carla
oh, got another
:)
I found one who sells goods
only one you say...
ok, have all 3 now, but not the te
The other one ends like a person who takes in the inseam on a man's suit
te is not common, though it can appear in grids relatively commonly
the te kind of sounds earthlike a bit
that is the one who sells goods, Molly, no?
It's a variation on what you serve soup in, the te
one of the spellings peri
No Peri, it ends just like the inseam person
I do not see the other spelling
I swear I tried that the last night in various spellings
ah ty both
there are a number of words that sound like that
*te, not the
Do you know who the person who takes in the suits is?
I found all the re8
27 left
18 left here
1st col I just need 1 from each tile. any weird ones you can think of?
I need one from each too :)
oh, they could either be unusual or we could be missing different easy ones
yeah
not really focusing on those right now
what are you working on, maybe I can work there too? :D
middle column, have just one left there
I do have 8 4's, guess I could focus on those
I need 2 e's and 1 o in middle
bottom o
oh, found the c's on the first column...accidentally
upper e
haha
well all the o's are related, except for two small ones
the last c I found was the milk protein
oh, I have that
ah, completed the middle column too now
somehow I can always see that protein
also, I found the so7 all on my own that we had and discussed recently
Well there are three c's related, and the protein and another short word
I do not remember the so7
ah, thx hoke...forgot that one already :)
one 7 left
hoke's a specialist in armor now
4 7's left here
12 left...four 4s
there's your clue, peri, it's relating to armor
ok
and a very obscure word
unless you're an armor expert like hoke
got it ty both
ah, my c was one who does. of course that is allowed but legit words with that suffix are not.
or maybe enthusiast would be a better word ;)
yep, thought that might be it
I can be either :D
indeed you can
RE 7-44 please
to make new again or to restock nancy
I guess my missing o is a small one based on your clue
I have 3 related OL
I would suspect so :)
my last o was a small one, and not the lesser common one
I have a mining related one
then you are missing the less common one
doh!
was missing spanish bullfighting one
unless you're a bullfighter or a fan of the Montreal Canadiens
now one middle e
mool, ty you got it. nervous aou
about the game tonight. need a win.
yay
yeah, have been there
The Islanders so overperform, it's remarkable
They're kinda like Vegas...on paper they don't look great, but they find a way to win
Barry Trotz is a good coach too
just hoping my man Brayden Point plays and also noone has said where or why stamkos is altho my daughter says he is skating. need both of them to get in and give some offense, last game was all defense.
Bolts aren't likely to win in a defensive dual
That's the Isles game
would be happy if bolts win the east. even if they dont make the finals but whoever plays Dallas should be very wary and on guard. They look tough.
yeah, but go bolts :)
THAT RIGHT. GO BOLTS 11111
!!!!!!!!!!
well the past tense of 1 is win right?
sorry present tense :0
haha just cant type either today
this is slow going here. 22 left. no idea what the other 2 d's could be.
Oh come on, doesn't this just spring right to mind? any compound, as 1,3-butadiene, CH2=CH−CH=CH2, that contains two double bonds
Sorry, I didn't realize the word was in the definition
haha, didn't notice until you pointed it out. I usually see that. it is backward I guess
thx
and how many times must I try to make more se6
I guess until I find that missing S ;)
I give up with 20 left. 4 4's, 4 5's, 4 7's, and the rest 6's.
well, thought it was going to be an easy list finish but 5 I had to skip
re7/44 pls? or time if recently clued?
1:05, but I still didn't get it
one of my last 5 :D
this gets ticky at the end.
just looked up a p, silly me for not knowing a group of french poets
ok i will go look
will take a bit of brain use. and it's nap time.
I can't keep up, I thought Carla gave up
I gave up and went to the list
and then the next step is I gave up and looked some up
same here. going out tonight, want to finish now not midnight.
and then I almost looked up the re7/44 but found it at the last second
you can re7/44 your screen, your makeup
aHA! ty!
I am finished. going to start quilting my king size quilt on this tropical depression day. this make take a while.
the bottom is tricky. i want to finish, else i will have to input missing words tonight...
well good luck. i am taking tickets tonight, rain predicted, and i just stages this band so hoping to leave early. don't care to see them again.
next the last two t words...on the hunt. perhaps will just scroll for clues.
well, I hope you have a good time.
i will if i don't work with someone who eats the whole time and doesn't distance. hopefully not, most are aware.
found!
done!
still 8 left here
you're so slow ;)
yeah, work or something
4 to go
hello again. help with li7 please
50 left here
shortest route between 2 points + consumed
ty carla
3 to go...a 4, 6 and 7
I don't think there were any 4's I hadn't seen before, probably an easy one
do you have so7? ;)
do you think your 6 & 7 might be a combo or are they different letters?
I'm going to guess you are missing maybe an S or an R
I am not missing an R
Am missing an S tho
and the 6/7 are not a combo...different letters
missing a P, S and T
there was a P6 I had to look up
an s7 I only got due to the list
which would mean i'm missing a T4 :)
yep, an easy one
there was a t4 I got with the list but was easy to miss, but we've had it before
mine was an easy one, just a time of my life that is forgetful ;)
found the p
is that a word you know?
started thinking about meteor showers
It was in a grid a couple of weeks back I thought
maybe a month or so ago
I don't recall it
but there's a yearly meteor shower of same word stem
well, the last 2 letters are the same. no, the next to last letter is different, isn't it?
well they just add two more letters on the end
it's a constellation called the seven sisters that given them the name
maybe I'm thinking of a different yearly meteor shower
the p word is one of them :)
well there are several
oh never mind I think I've got my wires crossed
between constellations and the meteor shower
yeah, but the only one I know off the top of my head is in Aug
the perseid
yes
yeah, I was crossing that up with the constellation
I see
scene
anyways, still have that one to go
sorry
found it
fw
well done, moo.
re 7/44, pls
tx, the clues helped
to make new again bich
you can re7 your makeup before you go out at night. or you can re7 your computer screen, or re7 yourself with lemonade on a hot day
I didn't really give you any clues, moo!
oh but you did...just knowing the lengths helps a lot
One of the reasons I don't use the list...would be done too quickly
I gave you my guesses, I could've been completely wrong
Well they were clues nonetheless
Re6/27 please
sometimes when I finish these grids it's a re6/27
Thanks carla
np
ty mool
this one was pretty good, except for a handful of words

Oops, sorry. Obviously grasping at straws here :D
hi ori, bichon, mkg, une....
I thought of you today, ori.....i went to the water's edge and spent time talking to a friend in a socially distant, masked manner.....the ocean air was quite refreshing....
Hi pen. The ocean sounds wonderful! The air here has fortunately cleared some.
glad to hear....we had haze in the upper atmosphere from the fires out west.....
you once suggested that i go sit by the water to "refresh" my brain....
:D
Pen owns the PB tonight
good thing i don't believe in that.....to point it out just gives unasked for clues... ;o) .....but I will check to see if there are goodies there....
And just for the record, people do not need to qualify their personal experiences here with things like "a socially distant, masked manner". We are sure you are all being safe.
ty, Molly....i did see a family of three today in the supermarket without masks.....and they are required here....
Always goodies in there for you, Pen.
ty!
People are getting tired of the masks and the distance as the numbers go down.
our numbers have been going up....
my neighbor is a sixth grade teacher and she said that her students (going to school every other day) are being terrific about wearing masks....
Good for the kids
yes....and all were very happy to be back in some form of school....
I was shocked to hear that the USPS was ready to send masks to every US household in April and the white house shut it down
The idea of kids in class these days makes me very nervous. But, maybe that just because I am in CA. I really feel for the kids not in school, though.
Wow, dan. Unbelievable.
it's hard for all the kids....and the teachers...
so far miss2bit is doing well with virtual 5th grade, but it is lonesome. And of course we worked so hard in the before times to regulate her screen time...
that's much harder now
I bet...
(not that her parents set stellar examples)
It has to be rough on the parents also, dan. I wonder what people are doing where both parents have to work, or the single parents. Such a sad time.
Parents of multiple children are having to make some difficult daycare choices. The economy is going to suffer big time from all of this.
It certainly has and I can't see it getting better any time soon.
Of course, the wealthy, who can still afford nannies are not affected.
I bet nannies are in high demand right now (for those that can afford it, of course).
If those nannies are smart, their prices have gone up.
we are very lucky to both be able to work full time without office attendance, and to have just one child, who is old enough to fend for herself when not doing school. Teachers who have kids of their own, folks who need to be present in workplaces, younger kids who need more support. It's tough all around
i am done.....
heading out....goodnight all....
congrats pen!
ty....
Congratulations, pen
Congrats pen!
