Apparently people are still taking vacations. I heard from a co-worker that the airports are packed. I guess a pandemic does not keep people from wanting to get on a crowded plane in close quarters.

I was told they won't give the shot until you're a certain age because it loses efficacy over time and shingles gets so much more dangerous the older you get

interesting pen. I did hear your chances of getting shingles within the 5 years after is much lower so I guess that's why. but I think the handout they gave me made it seem like I couldn't get it.

I didn't unfortunately. My rash itched like crazy for a week before it started hurting like I got punched. I have many skin allergies so I thought I'd gotten into poison ivy or something until it was way too late to take antivirals
my brother "diagnosed" my sister in law with the help of an internet search....took her to the ER and she was told that it was a good thing she was treated early....her case was indeed mild....
yeah, I think getting on the antiviral so fast helped mine a lot
