Moxie is a soft drink that is the official soda of Maine, I believe....there is a Moxie festival every year in Lisbon, Maine....it's an acquired taste....
I didnt say moxy. Someone else did. What i said is the word in the grid is a mo 4 and means something japanese. It has one vowel at end and i never saw that word before. Whoever said moxy was alt spelling made me think that the word was moxie so that is why

Pen is right. Growing up with a dad who went to Colby college in maine, moxie was a treat whenever we could get it. And the term was part of our vocabulary.

Agreed, Soodle. We made champagne mimosas and got up at 7am to watch. I personally thought JLo paled in comparison to Gaga, because ... only Beyonce is on the same par as Gaga. Likewise, as much as I like Garth, I wish a more powerful singer like Dolly Parton or Josh Groban had handled Amazing Grace. Really appreciated ALL the parties and opinions came together for the ceremony (except T of course.) And wasn't that poet Amanda Gorman spectacular? She is worthy of Maya and Langston.
Inauguration trivia: Vice President Harris wore purple (as did Hillary Clinton) because it was the color of the suffragist movement. It was a nod of gratitude to all thye women who fought to get her where she landed today. And didn't she look spectacular? Thanks to Christopher John Roberts.
