Yikes. I wish our state would prioritize teachers and staff for the vaccine. Idaho has done that, but here in Washington it's still just first responders and over 65.
same here. Massachusetts now has some ridiculous "bring a friend" work around - If I can find a 75 year old and bring them to get the shot, I can get it too. How foolish, making us jump through hoops
I know I will still need to wear a mask and take precautions, but I'll feel much safer going to the store and elsewhere. Trif, find an older person and buddy up. Having lived in Massachusetts when Patrick was governor, and the state was the first to initiate universal health care access (before Obamacare), I confess I'm surprised and disappointed they are not prioritizing teachers. Even Idaho is vaccinating their educators now.
I am beyond surprised and disappointed.
so sad trif to see that. i don't know if you saw in your news, but here in one of our quarantine hotels, there have now been the same number but with the UK strain. the A/C has been turned off, but one of the people used a nebuliser for medication, guessing ventolin, and the mist has spread cv-19 throughout the hotel.

looks like we maybe going into another lockdown. the latest cluster of cv-19 cases includes possible contact points, one of which is a cafe at our major airport in Melbourne.
sigh. We're still with no bars, little inside dining, much delivery.
And the number of flights from the US to Mexico, especially to Cabo San Lucas, have gone up by a lot. Though the US-Mex border is one of few still open.
Seain, it is so frustrating isn't it? if everyone took the time to follow a few rules this shouldn't have to be.
Sadly, people still want to gather with their families, which is how COVID has spread three times in my work environment. And they seem to be traveling wherever they can, which I'm sure is contributing to more spread.
