also groundhogs...the funniest thing about the ground hogs is that they'd run away when you startled them, then stop and look back to see if you were chasing them

I remember coming out one day and I had this ground feeder i'd put corn in, and the ground hog was completely in it and not moving...for a minute or so< i thought it had crawled in there and died on top of the food. But it was just gorging itself

winston and I saw a big possum on a walk one day, and I thought it was dead because he went up to check it out. occurred to me later it was probably playing possum.
yeah, have seen them do that...came across one once with a big wound on it's side, so we picked it up and took it to the local "possum lady"

yeah, I used to like watching them in my backyard in Miami
they were pretty regular visitors
well she would take in and take care of injured possums...quite a specialization, surprising too, because it was in a city of just 50K or so out in California
they also like melons! we were growing some by our pool one summer and something was taking them. I put a game camera down there and it was a big possum.

We had racoons in our corn field. We had this guy come and trap them. We noticed he was missing a thumb.
We actually solved the racoon problem by planting pumpkins between the rows. Never came back
